Meet Stats: 143 – 420 / $806.10 (-$33.90) Best Bets: 20 – 40 / $79.90 (-$0.10) Spot Plays: 17 – 40 / $122.00 (+$42.00) Best Bet: JUMPSHOT (3RD) Spot Play: TOWN DELINQUENT (7TH) Early Pick 5: 4,6,9/4,5,6/6/2,3,4,5,8/1,3,5 = $27 Late Pick 5: 2/3,4,6/2,4,5/1,5/2,4,6 = $10.80 Early Pick 4: 2,3,4,5,8/1,3,5/2/3,4,6 = $45 Late Pick 4: 1,5/2,4,6/3,8/1,3,5 = $36   Race 1: NW $5,000 L5 or $12,500 L10 LT **Guaranteed $100,000 Pick 5** (4) BETTOR B GOING raced great in defeat last time he raced this low five starts back when he started from the 10-hole. He should take beating here starting from a good post. (6) LETS GET PICKLED raced much better in both starts since being claimed and he just throttled easier while taking a new life's mark. He should be a threat leaving from one of the best posts. (9) SIDDHARTHA fits much better in this spot and if Henry can find him a live helmet to follow, he could roll by them all late. (1) ROYAL RENEGADE is capable at this level but he always seems to rally too late no matter what post he draws. I'll use him on the bottom. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GOLD 2YO COLTS and GELDINGS (5) STONEBRIDGE HELIOS was in no hurry last week after missing three weeks of action and he did rally for 2nd. The sense of urgency gets turned up now racing for a $100K pot and I'll side with him in a race where he should offer a much better price. (6) ERINWOOD YVES raced his eyeballs out in the Battle of Waterloo but the leader wouldn't be caught on a day where every winner was on the lead turning for home. He is an obvious contender and likely chalk. (4) CAMEALONGWAY had next to no chance in the Battle of Waterloo once he drew the 9-hole because nothing could close on a severely speed-biased speed track. He is in a much better situation here and he isn't without a chance. (2) AVIATOR has looked good winning both starts but the waters get much deeper here. I'll peg him for a small share. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: NW $5,000 L5 or $13,850 L10 (6) JUMPSHOT had plenty of trot in the lane last week but he got into a jackpot of traffic and he wasn't clear until very late in the mile. Missing a check allows him to drop a level and he gets top call here. (4) VICTOR INVICTUS gets post and class relief and he should be a threat tonight. (9) BRONZE YANKEE used a relentless final 1/4 kick to get the job done when facing easier. He can add some value to the exotics here landing in the Tri or Super. (8) BUZZ drops again but with a 1 for 19 record in 2021, I'll play to beat him. Race 4: F&M NW $14,000 L5 or $28,000 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: 3YO - Pick 4 (4) TANGO DANCER N was put at a tactical disadvantage when she gave up the front just before the 1/2 clocked in a snail-like 57 4/5 last week. She gets a driver change to hot teamster Roy here and she can improve in this second start over the track; top call. (5) LYONS TILT HANOVER is one of the sharpest mares on the grounds right now and her late kick has been lethal lately. She is a solid contender here. (8) PARISIAN BLUE CHIP fits much better here and she is hard to leave off multi-race tickets racing at this level. (3) SCARLETT HANOVER shut the door early at Grand River because no one was passing that day and she wasn't getting beat once she made front. She has rounded into top form but keep in mind her next start is likely a $100K Gold vs. sophomores before you bet the farm. Race 5: NW 11,500 L5 or $24,000 L10 or NW $75,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $30,000 (1) ROCKIN IN HEAVEN gets class and post relief here and he should be tough vs. these. (3) NOCTURNAL BLUE CHIP was right there vs. better in a fast race but he got a perfect trip then. He can win this but I wouldn't take a short price. (5) BEYOND BETTER was game pacing his back 1/2 in 54 flat but the early pace worked against him. He should have a better shot tonight with some expected leavers lined up on the outside of the gate. (4) ROCKIN N TALKIN should come on late for another slice. Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GOLD 2YO COLTS and GELDINGS - Pick 5 I don't think there's much question that (2) BETTERHAVEMYMONEY is the top rookie pacer in the country and he should continue his domination here. (3) KOLBY TWO STEP was only a length behind the choice when last seen and he should be close again tonight. (4) CENTURY INSPECTOR raced well in the Battle of Waterloo Final but he was no match for the top two. He can be part of the Tri tonight. (1) BOB LOBLAW has the speed to contend for a share here. I'll use him underneath. Race 7: F&M 5YO and Younger NW5 or $8,500 L5 or $17,600 L7 AE: OPT CLM $20,000 (3) TOWN DELINQUENT took a brutal shuffle in early stretch last week. Once she found some clear racetrack she was flying late and I'll stick with her in a spot where her price should rise. (4) ROSE RUN VICTORY looked tremendous winning last week while taking a new life's mark and she is the main danger. (6) HELLO LOVE should improve here making her second start back since May and picking up her regular driver Macdonald; using. (2) SLY ELEANOR N should move up enough in this spot to land in the Tri or Super. Race 8: NW $17,000 L5 or $32,500 L10 or NW $130,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $45,000 Last time (4) POINTS NORTH raced this low five starts back, he took a new life's mark of 1:49 2/5. He should be tough vs. these tonight. (5) BEST IN SHOW has been in some tough races recently south of the border. He fits well here and he is in the mix. (2) ROCKME ROLLME is another that won last time he raced at a similar level and he is sure to be closer vs. these. (7) HERVEY HANOVER should pass some of these and land in the Tri or Super. Race 9: 4YO and Younger NW2 or $32,000 LT - Pick 4 (1) SALTWATER SAVAGE caught a colt that was ready to pace the fastest mile of his life last time and neither he nor anyone else could keep up to that dominating winner. He can get back on track in this spot. (5) FOREFATHER tried to power to the front in the third 1/4 but he wasn't allowed to clear by the 3 to 5 favorite who went on to win. He can do much better here at a square price; using. (8) ARMOR SEELSTER finished just ahead of the choice and he has developed a potent late kick. He isn't without a chance tonight. (3) SARATOGA BLUE CHIP has improving form and I see him coming on late to take another share. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 10: PREFERRED (2) WARAWEE VITAL was a predictable winner here vs. easier last week. His price will be better tonight and he could trip out racing close to the front and pounce late. (4) WHEELS ON FIRE is right there every week and he is hard to leave off multi-race tickets. (6) CENTURY FARROH packed it in late last time. I imagine he will look for a trip here but he may be forced to drive on starting from out there; using underneath. (5) MATTICULOUS GB should be good for a small share here. Race 11: 5YO and Younger NW3 or $56,000 LT (3) SHADOW IN RED is one of the sharpest horses around right now and he should be tough to beat as he shoots for his fifth straight win here. (8) LANCASTER BOMBER never got a breather but he still managed to hang on in a game effort and he should be a big threat right back here. (4) UNDRTHSOUTHRNSUN N was picked off very late last week by a rival that rode the pylons until the last few strides then pounced. He should be in the hunt here again. (9) LOU ED ZEPPELIN gets Drury back for a return drive and he could add some value to the Tri or Super. Race 12: NW $8,000 L5 or $21,000 L10 (1) FOOT SOLDIER, when he pops, usually does it with little warning and perhaps the class drop will be enough to get him across at a good price tonight. I'll give him the nod here in the cash leg of the late Pick 4. (3) GO WEST GO FAST gets out of the second tier and drops and that makes him an obvious contender tonight; using. (5) TORRIN HANOVER is always a threat at this level and he's on my late Pick 4 ticket. (4) CAPTAIN VIDEO was overbet last week when he didn't threaten the winner. He is capable at this level but you should demand a price with him. (7) MAJOR CUSTARD has improving form. He's a good one to use underneath in this spot.
