This looks like a two-filly race in this short field. (2) REIGNING JADE looks faster and should get position on her main rival, (3) ELODIE HANOVER. I'll give the nod to the former. (4) STONEBRIDGE HALO can improve enough in this second start to hit the board. (1) STAYING WITH EMILY can complete the Super.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 3: 3YO TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS

(1) ROUGH TOUGH TESTED got a perfect tightener vs. older last on Monday now he is back with sophomores, and he gets the nod at what should be a decent price. (7) KINNDER THINKTWICE just took a new life’s mark in a strong performance. He would be tough if he repeated that effort. (3) WHAT AN ANGEL takes the drop from Grand Circuit to Grassroots, but he has missed close to a month now, so I don't think I'd take a short price here. and he is the obvious one to beat here. (6) NEW RULES was good in defeat in the Dream of Glory final, and he is right there every week. He is in the exotics mix again.

Race 3: DREAM MAKER FINAL: 2 YO OPEN PACE.

(5) REMEMBER THE ALAMO closed in 25 2/5 to win his debut which isn’t something you see every day. He needs to contend with unbeaten (1) LEGENDARY HANOVER now, but the talent is there, and I'll give him a slight nod. The latter was faster at every call in his second start and although he loses regular driver Macdonald who is in Ohio tonight, he is the obvious threat. (2) HUNGRY TO WIN should be closer to the front this time and he can take a share in this second start. (4) CUPID SHUFFLE was only 3/4 of a length behind the choice and he is another that is in the exotics mix.

Race 4: NW $14,000 L5 or $30,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $65,000 or NW $115,000 LT - Pick 4

(8) BEYOND BETTER tends to go in and out of form due to gait issues but is in in form right now as seen by his lifetime mark effort last week; call to repeat. It took a 1:49 2/5 mile to beat (6) SAULSBROOK VICTOR last week. He is sharp now and that makes him dangerous. (7) NO FREE LUNCH gets to drop to a level where he can contend for the win, and he is sharp now. He is another that is in with a shot. (4) SOUTHSIDE EDDY should close for another slice in this spot.

Race 5: 5YO and Younger NW $15,000 LT

(5) BETTOR THAN PRIDE impressed breaking his maiden and the horse he beat has already come back to win. He gets the call to repeat coming off that big mile. (2) BETTORHOLDONTIGHT paced a nice back 1/2 last week, but he was too far back. He could beat these if he gets a better trip; using. (3) LEAVE IT TO LUTHER gets needed post relief and he can improve enough to land in the Tri. (9) CONTROL THE GOLD will likely close late to take a small share again.

Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 3: 3YO TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS - Pick 5

(3) DWS POINT MAN has been facing tougher older rivals lately and driver Roy has dominated recently on nights like these when Macdonald and McNair have been out of town; top call. (8) NOTHINGBUTADREAMER is another that is back in with fellow sophomores and he should be heard from tonight; using. (4) TYRONE BOW TIE has shown two nice kicks from far back in his two Mohawk Park starts; price look. (7) IM ABOVE AVERAGE races better from the back. I see him taking back early and closing late for a share.

Race 7: F&M NW $4,000 L5 AE: OPT CLM $20,000 or NW $500 L3

(4) THE IDEAL HUNTRESS is a good bet to go right down the road on the class drop here. (2) COZ IM SPECIAL fits decently vs. these and she will likely lay closer and take a good share. (5) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL has been first up in her last two starts and she may suffer the same fate again; using underneath. (10) AMERICAN TICKET is sharp, but she is likely to take a small slice starting from out there.

Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 3: 3YO TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS

(4) THE GREAT RESET is the sharpest horse in the race, and he has shown himself to be sure-gaited where others in here haven’t; top call. (5) THE GREAT EMOTION comes off a sharp effort and he picks up hot pilot Roy. He should be dangerous if he stays flat. (8) LITE THE CANDLES is capable if he stays flat, but he comes off two breaks and I'd need more than the 5 to 2 morning line to back him tonight. (6) RICARDO should be good for another share in this spot.

Race 9: FREE FOR ALL - Pick 4

(7) CARBINE is the "now" horse in this class and Hudon has been driving him with confidence. A threepeat looms. (6) MOMAS SON BYRNE is also sharp, and he can sit another good trip here racing close to the front; Exacta factor. I'd like (8) COLD CREEK QUESO more if he raced more recently and drew better but I can see him taking a share here. Is (4) WARRAWEE VITAL off form now? I'm not completely convinced, but I'd need at least 5 to 1 to get interested in him considering he was well behind the choice last week.

Race 10: F&M NW $15,050 L5 AE: NW $43,000 in 2023

(9) SAULSBROOK OLYMPIA found room late but was steadied briefly when she ran in just inside the 1/16th pole. That might have cost her a win and drawing widest ensures that her price will be viable here. (1) SHES GOT IT ALL beat similar with Borth driving two starts back and he returns to the bike tonight; using. (5) SETTN A PRECENDENT has a much better chance starting from the middle of the gate. She is another possibility for the late multi-race tickets. (3) BETTER BE DONNA N is sharp, but she hasn't been able to seal the deal. I'll use her underneath here.

Race 11: NW $8,100 L5 or $13,500 AE: OPT CLM $45,000

(3) MATAI LOUIS N will be very hard to beat in here if he repeats last week's mile. (6) ROCK AND TWIST shows two wins in a row from post 6 and he figures to be the main threat tonight. (4) ATLAS HANOVER was first up in a 27 1/5 third 1/4 last time at Georgian Downs and that wasn't going to work. He is worth a look at a price for the exotics here. (6) REAL WILLEY should be part of the exotics on the class drop.

Race 12: NW $14,000 L5 or $30,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $65,000 or NW $115,000 LT

(7) HP MOMENTUM gets to drop a couple of levels here and his big late kick should get him home vs. these. (4) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER was racing his eyeballs out until he reached the NW $20K L5 level. He should be in the mix on the drop tonight; using. (10) ROCKME ROLLME is the other dropper, and he would be tough if he can clear to the front from out there. (6) FABRIZIO N is in the mix every week and he is worth using in the late Pick 4 starting from the best post. (5) SOMETIME SOMEWHERE will likely close for a share in this spot.
