I like the way that (4) SPRUCE CREEK is improving his late speed and he could be an Exacta factor at a price tonight. (7) ARCANUM was bet on the class drop last week and he made only mild late gains. I can see him getting a better result tonight if he gets activated earlier; using underneath. (9) EXEMPLAR is in solid form and the veteran tries hard every week. He can hit the Super ticket despite drawing widest. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW $8,000 L5 or $16,000 L10 If (5) NICKLE BAG is going to wake up, this is the spot. Getting post and class relief should be just what the doctor ordered; top call. (4) ROYAL RENEGADE's race in this class two starts back makes him a contender but he often closes for a good share without threatening the winner. I wouldn't take a short price. (7) RHYTHM IN MOTION was hammered down to even money last week when he dropped to this class level and he couldn't keep up in the back 1/2. Maybe he didn't like the sloppy track? (6) CAPTAIN VIDEO should be passing rivals late again and he can land in the Tri or Super. Race 3: ONT SIRED 3YO GRASSROOTS STARTERS IN 2021 who are NW $30K in 2021 (3) WALKONTHEMOON had an impeccable 2021 record before encountering the Hanover Raceway sea of slop last week. He can get back on track here. (1) PIXIES LADY shows two sharp wins in her past three starts and she is the one to fear racing from close range. (6) FOUR WHEELIN never misses a check and he is an upset threat in this fourth start back; using. (9) ARLANDA has improving form and he could add some value to the exotics here. Race 4: NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10 - Pick 4 (6) LETS GET PICKLED gets a barn and driver change to Jamieson here after he somehow managed to get away last from post 5 last week. He did well to pass six horses and I'll stick with him here despite facing tougher. (1) MONEYMAN HILL had three cracks at this class to start the year and he didn't notch a win, twice failing as the favorite. He stacks up well vs. this group and the fourth time at this level might be the charm tonight. (4) CYCLONE JOE took a mark of 1:51 1/5 here last year and he should wake up against these. He is another in with a shot. (10) DREAMFAIR MOXY would be rated higher from a better post but from out there I'll use him underneath. Race 5: NW $23,600 L5 or $30,000 L10 or NW $140,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $55,000 (5) MATTICULOUS GB is 2 for 2 with Macdonald driving and that teamster returns here while the gelding gets a class drop from the top class. They have a good chance to resume their winning ways vs. these. (7) MAYHEM HANOVER couldn't fish out any cover last week and that led to him getting nailed late. He is sharp and dangerous, especially if he can find a live helmet to follow this week. (9) ENAVANT has only two losses on his card but one of them was to the choice here on July 10th. I'll use him underneath starting from the 9-hole. (8) MONGOLIAN HERO N is in good form now and he can take another small share tonight. Race 6: NW $8,500 L5 or $19,000 L10 AE: NW1 in 2020-2021 - Pick 5 (6) ON THE ROPES has raced decently twice in a row vs. better and he stacks up well in this field. I'll give him the nod over (7) REFI, who was a winner last time he raced in this class six starts back. (2) BUZZ should improve here starting from a better post but I see him rounding out the Tri or Super and finishing behind the top two choices. (9) MASS PRODUCTION would likely dust these on his best day but this will be only his fourth start in two years and he is likely looking to get around without incident here and take a good share; using underneath. Race 7: ONT SIRED 3YO GRASSROOTS STARTERS IN 2021 (5) SALTWATER SAVAGE keeps improving for Dr. Moore and he can take another here, (7) PROLINE ran into some trouble in the lane last week when the leader shut him off after he had a clear lane. He did get clear, but at that point (6) ARMOR SEELSTER was flying down the centre of the track and was not to be denied. Both of these are contenders that merit a look for multi-race tickets. (1) TWIN B EAGLE got a perfect trip last week and he rolled by some winded leaders late. He isn't impossible in this spot but he is unlikely to get the same pace meltdown late. Race 8: NW $5,000 L5 or $11,600 L10 - Pick 4 (8) GROOVY JOE drops to the lowest conditioned level he has raced at in his career. He's supposed to beat these. (9) H P NAPOLEON was right there at this level two starts back. He might blast off with the choice and land in his pocket; using. (7) KWIK TALKIN will likely be closing for a smaller share again tonight. (2) HOMEY JOE is a good one to use on the bottom of Tri and Super bets this week. Race 9: PREFERRED HANDICAP (7) CENTURY FARROH easily handled most of these here last week and he figures to get another good trip racing on or near the front; call to repeat. (4) WARAWEE VITAL already has a mark of 1:48 flat this year and he has just been in too tough recently racing down south. Henry, who drove him to some fast wins here last summer is sure to be aggressive with him. He should be a big threat here. (5) SINTRA is used to being top dog when he races here but he likely is only third best in this lineup tonight; using underneath. (6) WHEELS ON FIRE’s win skein was snapped last week and this race looks even tougher. I see him taking another small share. (1) JIMMY CONNOR B has behaved perfectly recently and that has translated into some sharp performances. I can see him rolling past these in deep stretch. (6) LANCASTER BOMBER ambitiously tried the Adios Stakes elimination now he gets back to a class where he should be tough. He’s on my Pick 4 ticket. (7) FOREFATHER couldn’t be touched last week after cutting a 56 2/5 opening 1/2. This is tougher but he's not out of this. (9) TWIN B HEART THROB should pass a few of these late to take a share. Race 11: NW $11,000 L5 or $25,000 L10 or NW6 LT AE: OPT CLM $30,000 - Mandatory High-5 Payout with Carryover To me there it's clear that the horse to key on in this field of a dozen is (7) EAST END. He got a rough ride when racing one class higher last week as a rival popped pocket and moved to the front ahead of him when he had already committed to make a backstretch brush and that forced him to accelerate to clear. He cut a 54 flat opening 1/2 over a sloppy track rated one second slow. He then came under immediate assault which forced him to pace to the 3/4 in 1:21 4/5 which was a full second faster than the leader paced to the 3/4 in the Preferred that night. This gelding should have a big shot in here. (4) POINTOMYGRANSON wasn't asked for much racing a class higher in a race that was paced in 1:49 2/5. He projects to blast for position tonight and he could get a perfect trip here. He is the only other one that I will use on top. (5) TORRIN HANOVER was right there at this level last week and he is another that should get a good trip racing near the front. (11) GO WEST GO FAST should be rallying past rivals in the lane and I see him landing in the bottom rungs of the ticket. (2) TRACEUR HANOVER is a millionaire that keeps on trucking and it would be no surprise to see him trip out from his inside post and land on the ticket. Others to consider: (12) HES SWIFT has been beating some decent colts recently but starting from this post he is one that I'll use in the 3-4-5 slots of this High-5. (1) REVOLT was fifth at this level two weeks ago and he is likely to sit an inside trip and look to come on late. He could be on the ticket at a price. (10) MACH IMPACT was claimed four times in a row and he is tagged for $30K here but from post 10 in this field I can't envision a trip that lands him on the ticket.
