Race 1: F&M NW5 or $94,000 LT **GTD $75,000 Pick 5**

Tough race to kick off the Pick 5 with a few sophomore sires stakes fillies in a conditioned race between stakes starts. I'll side with (6) SEX APPEAL who has always been driven aggressively and will likely benefit from not getting too much pressure in this spot. (2) LAURAS LOVE couldn't close on the choice last time but she could be better here if she leaves just a bit quicker; using. (1) KARMA SEELSTER appears to be returning to her two-year-old form and she is in with an upset chance here. (7) AMERICAN TOUR N has been racing well at the 'B' tracks and he gets Auciello's main catch driver here; using.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GOLD 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS

A great matchup here between (1) TATTOO ARTIST and (3) INDICTABLE HANOVER. I'll give the edge to the former who is likely to hold a tactical advantage. (4) ANETO is consistent and tries hard every week, he just can't bridge the gap with the top colts. He should take a slice here, however. (5) BEACH BLANKET BOOK is likely to blast for position early and stick around for a spot in the Super.

Race 3: F&M NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10

(3) LYONS GIRLHANOVER gets away from stakes types here in what should be an easier spot and she gets the nod in a race where she should wake up with a much better effort. (6) WINDSONGMAGIFIQUE got cooked last time when she couldn't clear to the front. The class drop to the bottom should help here and she's on my Pick 5 ticket. (8) ROCKIN MYSTERY shows improving form and she is worth using from out there as the post should boost her price. (9) BURN MY VILLA can pass some of these late and land in the bottom of the Tri or Super.

Race 4: NW $16,000 L5 or $26,000 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $45,000 - Pick 4

(2) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER raced okay having missed a week last time now he gets on a 7-day rotation and makes his second start over the track. I'll give him a slight nod in a wide-open race. (1) MIDWAY ISLAND was sharp when he blew up the tote board last week and I'll use him right back while he is hot. (3) HERVEY HANOVER has a better shot with his nose on the gate here and he could trip out in this spot. (8) BETTER B GOING has been sharp for several weeks. He is another contender in a race that demands deep coverage.

Race 5: NW $11,500 L5 or $22,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $30,000

(3) EASYLOVER HANOVER holds a big class edge on these and you have to think McNair will be looking to send him right down the road. (10) PLAY JET RAY's comeback race was decent and he should be sharper now. I'll use him in the Exacta here. (4) ELLIS PARK is capable of better and perhaps getting off the rail will lead to a better result. (7) HIGHLAND TARTAN is sharp and capable of sneaking into the Super at a price.

Race 6: FILLIES AND MARES PREFERRED - Pick 5

(1) TREACHEROUS REIGN gets off post 9 here and she should control this race and convert at a short price. (2) SO MUCH MORE's change in tactics didn't work last week. Look for her to be closing at a price this time. (3) SWEET LUCY LOU was overbet last week, but she did close well late and she should take a slice here. (7) KENDALL SEELSTER is another who should be passing some mares late; using on the bottom.

Race 7: NW $22,000 L5 or $37,000 L10 or NW $140,000 LT AE: NW $3,000 L3

(1) SPORTS COLUMN did well to only get beat by four lengths last time considering he raced uncovered on the rim most of the way. He drops and draws better, and he should be tough here. (2) EAST END gets major post relief here and he should be heard from. (5) TRACEUR HANOVER has a better shot here starting from the middle of the gate and he could upset with the right trip. (9) ROCKIN IN HEAVEN is capable at this level but likely best used underneath from post 9.

Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GOLD 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS - Pick 4

(2) BEAUMOND HANOVER lays over this sires stakes field and he should convert at odds of about 10 cents to the dollar. (6) DENALI SEELSTER will likely blast to the front then take the choice's cover and ride it to an Exacta finish. (5) EXAMINER HANOVER was 2nd to the choice on July 4th and he should be in this Tri tonight. (1) VELOCITY RUKKUS should ride an inside trip to a spot in the Super.

Race 9: F&M 5YO and Younger NW4 or $58,000

(5) BEACH SPORTS lands in a spot where she should be able to control the race, but she is another who will offer a short price. (4) MY BABY GIRL was airborne late, and she would have been second in one more stride. I'll use her in this Exacta. (3) SAUBLE DELIGHTFUL should be in the mix racing near the front again and she's hard to leave out of the Tri. (8) SO DELIGHTFUL is obviously capable of better but coming off a break she could get a conservative steer; your call.

Race 10: PREFERRED

(1) EVENWOOD SONOFAGUN draws perfectly to take control of this race early and the short field helps his chances here; top call. (6) WHEELS ON FIRE has been trading blows with the choice and he should be the main threat again. (2) THE DOWNTOWN BUS is obviously capable vs. these but he may need a start or two before he reaches his peak form. (4) MATTICULOUS GB comes off a sharp effort in a fast race and he should take a share here.

Race 11: NW $8,000 L5 or $16,000 L10

(3) WINDSUN RICKY's race vs. tougher last time was decent and he retains driver Henry here; slight nod. (10) PHYSICALLYINCLINED gets to drop one level coming off a good effort and she should be a major player here if he can get a good start from the second tier. (7) WESTERN EXPOSURE looked like an easy winner at the 1/8th pole last week and he was run down by a rival that closed like he was shot out of a cannon. He should contend here. (5) REVOLVER N popped, stopped, now he drops, and an improved effort is likely. (2) P L JACKSON should go better from an inside post this week; using underneath.
