This is a mighty tough race to kick off the early Pick 5 with 10 horses who are a combined 6 for 95 in 2021 facing off. (5) BEACHIN LINDY has been facing the toughest company recently and Henry might try to go right down the road with him; slight nod. (8) MODERN ROCK gets a second crack at this class and he gets to move off the 10-hole this week. I expect sharp improvement. (3) OSBORNE SEELSTER gets Macdonald here and that teamster has been hot. That is as good an angle as any to use in this completely wide-open affair. (9) IM NOT BAD is in a much easier spot here and I wouldn't be shocked if he went a long way on the engine.

Race 2: 5YO and Younger NW3 or $80,000 LT or NW1 in 2020-21 or NW $1,100 L3

(5) HES SWIFT tripped out to win last week but either of the two horses he caught on the wire would be odds-on in this field; call to repeat. (1) UNDRTHSOUTHRNSUN N should go better in this second start since missing a month following a vet scratch. He should be forwardly placed and he is in with a good chance. (6) WARRAWEE WHYNOT looked good dominating much easier last week. I'll play to beat him out of the Exacta tonight. (3) BETTIM AGAIN is always around the money. He should be in the Tri or Super.

Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 3YO Colts and Geldings

(3) JIMMY CONNOR B shakes Powertrain this time around and he should convert as a big chalk here. (2) PREMIER NACHO was issued a parking ticket by the big chalk last week and the rest was predictable. He gets Henry now and he should be an Exacta factor. (7) YS DO IT RIGHT was 10 lengths behind the choice last time but in this field, he should be good for another slice. (8) BRILLIANT CORNERS should be heard from early then stick around for a small share.

Race 4: NW $8,000 L5 or $16,000 L10 - Pick 4

(9) RHYTHM IN MOTION was third to two of the best sophomore colt pacers in the country last week and this is a good spot for him despite facing elders; top call. (8) OUTLAW ACEOFSPADES made several moves while easily handling a lesser field last week. He is sharp and dangerous. (5) CAPTAIN VIDEO is in decent form and he can take a share despite facing tougher here. (10) HERVEY HANOVER paced a huge mile on the rim last week but he got no favors with the post draw tonight; using underneath.

Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 3YO Colts and Geldings

(5) STONEBRIDGE REX was on 'go' from the 9-hole at the start last time and he hung in there well after being part of a big first 1/2. This is an easier field and he has a big shot tonight starting from the middle of the gate. (10) CENTURY HANNIBAL has been good in every start made over this track and he is one of the main contenders here, but, what price will you take from the 10-hole? (9) CADILLAC BAYAMA is an improving sort who is worth a look for the exotics. (1) TWIN B EAGLE is capable but often erratic. I don't love the 1-hole for him and I'll play to beat him in a spot where he will likely get bet.

Race 6: PREFERRED Handicap - Pick 5

(7) WHEELS ON FIRE hasn't lost a race since May 7th yet he might end up being the value play of this race; top call. (5) SINTRA was relentless last week, coming with a big kick in the final 1/8th to get up. He's a big threat as is last year's Canadian Horse of the Year (6) CENTURY FARROH who returns from New Jersey after trying the best older pacers in North America. This should be a good tilt. (4) ROCKME ROLLME races hard every week and he can take a share here.

Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 3YO Colts and Geldings

(8) PROLINE was ready and willing for his first Grassroots race on 7/10 at Mohawk Park and he was an easy winner. He should repeat vs. these. (1) TWIN B POWERBALL has improving form and he should be an Exacta factor tonight. (3) IMABEACHBOY should improve in this second start over the track and he could add some value to the Tri and Super tonight. (6) ARMOR SEELSTER is light years better than he was at two and he should take a share here despite coming off a sick scratch.

Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 3YO Colts and Geldings - Pick 4

(1) SALTWATER SAVAGE keeps improving for Doc Moore and he could get a great stalking trip stalking what should be a strong early pace tonight; top call. (3) CANTSTOPLYING is the one to beat but he faces tougher here and he might get overbet. Your call. (9) NO PLAN INTENDED was a Grassroots winner two starts back. Put a line through his most recent start and he stacks up well here. (10) BETTOR SUN likely would be the top pick if he drew a post in the middle of the gate. He could get stung early here but he isn't without a chance.

Race 9: NW $5,500 L5 or $10,100 L10

(8) ROCKIN IN HEAVEN was game in defeat at this level two starts back, nailed only right on the line by a rival that rode his helmet most of the way then had more left as the pace slowed. He gets the nod vs. these. (7) WHITECOOKIE drops and gets McNair back and that makes him a logical contender in this spot; using. (3) HOMEY JOE dug in late to preserve 2nd in a game effort and he fits well here; using underneath. (1) GRAND POOBAH has raced well at this level recently and he can take another share here.

Race 10: NW $16,000 L5 or $26,500 L8 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $45,000

(7) MAYHEM HANOVER drops from the top class and post 7 should be perfect for him in this field; top call. (2) EAST END has also been facing better and he figures to blast for position from his inside draw. He should be a big threat. (5) NOCTURNAL BLUE CHIP is the other dropper and Henry sticks with him. He should improve sharply tonight; using. (1) SWEET DEISEL was cleverly driven to an upset score last week but these are tough. I'll use him on the bottom only tonight.

Race 11: NW $11,500 L5 or $22,000 L10 or NW $70,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $30,000

(7) ENAVANT has been chasing some monsters recently. This is a much better spot and he can resume his winning ways tonight. (4) FAST N FIRST was right there the whole way in a fast mile last week and he will trip out and win one soon; maybe tonight. (5) ROYAL RENEGADE will likely be overbet because of his 25 2/5 kicker last week but I'm not sold that he is more than a fringe player; using underneath. (1) GO WEST GO FAST should be good for a share at this level, passing a few rivals late to land in the High-5. (3) ROCKIN N TALKIN rarely misses a check. Toss him on High-5 bets.
