Meet Stats: 59 - 201 / $343.50 (-$58.50) Best Bets: 8 – 19 / $33.80 (-$4.20) Spot Plays: 7 – 18 / $63.50 (+$27.50) Best Bet: CANTSTOPLYING (8TH) Spot Play: NO PLAN INTENDED (10TH) Early Pick 5: 2,4,9/3,4,8/4/2,3,5/1,7 = $10.80 Late Pick 5: 1,3,7/2,3,9/7/5/5,7,9 = $5.40 Early Pick 4: 2,3,5/1,7/1,3,7/2,3,9 = $54 Late Pick 4: 5/5,7,9/4,5/9 = $6   Race 1: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES Grassroots 3YO Colts and Geldings  **$100,000 Guaranteed Pick 5** (9) SALTWATER SAVAGE didn't fare terribly in an extremely fast race for NW2 on June 28th. In this easier field I expect him to be gunning for a much better position at the start and he gets the nod. (4) IMABEACHBOY moves into the McNair barn and that makes him dangerous in this first sires stakes start; using. (2) PROLINE is capable of producing big speed on his best day and he is worth a look for the Pick 5. (5) CODYS WATCHING should be good for another small share in this spot. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW $16,000 L5 or $26,000 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $45,000 (4) POINTS NORTH paced a big mile in defeat last week and a slightly easier trip gets him a win tonight. (3) MIKEY CAMDEN was 2nd best to a logical winner last week but he remains razor-sharp and he is a contender again this week. (8) REAL SURREAL circled up to nail the choice and he is a threat with his dynamic late speed but he is also susceptible to traffic issues racing from the back; demand a price. (1) SWEET DEISEL can take a small share off a following trip in this spot. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES Grassroots 3YO Colts and Geldings (4) POWERTRAIN paced one of the best miles of the meet so far on June 28th, making three moves on the way to a 1:49 3/5 victory. He should be tough to beat tonight. (5) YS DO IT RIGHT was closest to the choice of any in here that exit that race and he could be an Exacta factor at a price here. (1) JIMMY CONNOR B is fast but can be erratic. I'm not sure the 1-hole is great for him, but he is fast enough to contend here. (6) FIRST GLANCE brings his best effort every week and he can pass some of these to land in the Tri or Super. (9) UNCONTROLLABLE should use his good gate speed to get position early in the mile and ride a following trip to a share. Race 4: NW $8,000 L5 or $18,600 L10 - Pick 4 (2) FAST N FIRST was used hard early to make front vs. tougher last time then he followed the winner home and he wasn't beat far. He should be tough vs. these. (3) HERVEY HANOVER has a much better chance tonight leaving from a good post and he is one that is a multi-race must-use for me. (5) YACHT SEELSTER is capable of waking up dropping, moving inside, and making his second start back. Give him a price look here. (4) POINTOMYGRANSON is right there every week but he seems more likely to take a share than a win at this point. Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES Grassroots 3YO Colts and Geldings (7) CENTURY HEINEKEN paced out of his skin last week only to be denied a win by a gelding that made three moves and paced a sub-1:50 mile. He should be hard to knock off tonight. (1) CADILLAC BAYAMA also paced a big mile in defeat, getting shaded by a whisker in the final stride by a rival that enjoyed a perfect trip. He should be the main rival to the choice tonight. (3) ARMOR SEELSTER exits a fast race but he couldn't capitalize off a perfect trip then and I prefer to use him underneath in this spot. (2) PLAY ROCK has improving form and he should be part of the Tri or Super. Race 6: F&M NW $14,000 L5 or $28,000 L10 or NW $110,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $30K - Pick 5 (7) BESTSELLER HANOVER gets the nod here dropping back to the level where she was an easy winner racing in a driving rainstorm two starts back. (3) PARISIAN BLUE CHIP is more than capable at this level and she merits a close look for the exotics having had a confidence-building win in Ottawa. (1) TWIN B TIPSTER is razor-sharp right now and it's hard to imagine her not hitting the board tonight. (5) BETTER BE DONNA N is forced to step up off a loss but she should be in the exotics mix anyway racing near the front. Race 7: NW $5,000 L5 or $13,700 L10 (9) TRACEUR HANOVER missed checks in two straight and that allows him to drop to this lower conditioned level. He should be tough despite drawing wide. (2) REVOLT is another that is likely to improve with class relief and he could fall into a perfect pocket trip following the choice; using. (3) ROCKIN IN HEAVEN raced better last week and he will pop one of these weeks; it might be tonight. (4) ARUKIDINME CABBIE is in great form but these are tougher; small share predicted. Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES Grassroots 3YO Colts and Geldings The only horse that (7) CANTSTOPLYING didn't beat last week was an unbeaten five-year-old that was taking his 12th straight victory. This gelding is going to e very hard to beat here at a short price. (1) NO FREE LUNCH comes out of the same race as the choice and he is likely to complete a chalky Exacta here. (3) LAST BET has fired fast kickers in each of his three starts this year and he has little to show for it. He should land in the Tri or Super in this race. (5) SAULSBROOK HERO went a big trip in defeat here on July 5th and he could sneak into the exotics in this spot. Race 9: PREFERRED - Pick 4 (5) WHEELS ON FIRE stands out here as he shoots for his sixth straight win. Catch him to greet the cashier. (2) ROCKME ROLLME steps back up off a fast win and he should be an Exacta factor racing from close range. It shouldn't take (3) SINTRA long to come around but he needs to make up 7 1/2 lengths on the choice; using underneath. (6) MAYHEM HANOVER comes in off two game efforts and he can enter contention vs. these. Race 10: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES Grassroots 3YO Colts and Geldings (5) NO PLAN INTENDED had two perfect tighteners against some tough ones, now its go time in this first Grassroots race of the summer; slight nod. (7) CENTURY HANNIBAL is improving rapidly and he's hard to leave off late multi-race tickets. (9) STONEBRIDGE REX is another who is likely sitting on a big effort but from out there I'd need a price. (1) SOUTHWIND SANDOR looked good beating easier at Grand River and he is worth a look for the Tri and Super at a price. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 11: NW $3,000 L5 or $8,200 L10 (4) CAPTAIN VIDEO didn't get the drive he needed last week but he was closing late. With a more aggressive steer tonight he can beat these. (5) OUTLAW ACEOFSPADES is sure to get aggressive with this drop to the bottom conditioned level and he should be right there this week. (6) MENLO PARK is another who should fit better here but he tends to be a trip horse and I'll use him on the bottom. (1) CHAMPAGNE PHIL should be good for a slice starting from the inside. Race 12: NW $11,000 L5 or $23,200 L10 or NW $60,000 LT (9) ENAVANT used his lethal final-turn speed to notch another win and his record now sits at 12 wins from 12 tries. Who can stop the five-year-old son of Somebeachsomewhere? Probably no one from this field. (7) MATTICULOUS GB had broken equipment before the start last week which might explain why he stopped in the lane. He is a logical contender in here. (1) GROOVY JOE was used up early last week. He can be closer here with an expected better trip. (10) SPRINGBRIDGE JIM has been facing the razor-sharp Cold Creek Cabo and he fared well. Post 10 makes this a tall order, though; small share predicted. (2) ROCKIN N TALKIN rarely misses a check so don't leave him off High-5 tickets.
