Race 1: PREFERRED **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
Good betting race to kick off a great card. (2) AMERICAN HISTORY fits better here and he didn't expend a lot of energy in his last two starts. I think Jamieson lets him roll tonight. (4) ROLL WITH THE FLOW gets post and class relief and he could be a good one to use in the Pick 4 if he offers anything close to the 15 to 1 morning line quote. (7) CODENAME CIGAR BOX raced tough first up last week and fell just short. He should find a helmet here and he could get a setup; using. (9) WOODMERE STEALDEAL should be blasting, and he will likely take a small share at this level.

Race 2: FREE FOR ALL
(2) LOGAN PARK has five wins and one narrow defeat from six starts this year and he is the one to beat here. (5) FASHION FRENZIE lost by the smallest margin possible to the choice last time. This race can really go either way. (7) ONEY HALL has won at this level before, but the top two choices might just be too sharp right now. I'll use him underneath. (6) PATRIARCH HANOVER is usually in the mix at this level. I can see him closing late for a small slice.

Race 3: 5YO and Younger NW2 or $30,000 LT
(7) NIGHTIME DANCER just jogged on Grassroots rivals and took a new life's mark. Gingras being named signals that the intent will be there in this start between Grassroots engagements. I'll give him the nod. (5) VERDUN took a check in Grand Circuit company, and he is an obvious threat. (3) DAY TRADER is another that took money home from a Grand Circuit race. His best gives him a chance. I like that (10) TROUBLES A BREWIN gets Tetrick but don't like the post. I'll use him underneath.
Race 4: Winners of 2 but not more than 5 or $50,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000 - Pick 4
(5) HUNGRY MAN faces elders here, but they have to be easier than the NA Cup starters he was in against last week. I think he goes right down the road tonight. (1) STORMALONG is the most likely upsetter of the choice, especially if he can land in his pocket leaving the gate; using. (4) AHI SUNSHINE ran off the screen beating Grassroots rivals, but this will likely be much tougher; small share predicted. (6) WHATCHULOOKIN AT should improve enough to land in the exotics in this spot.
Race 5: ARMBRO FLIGHT FINAL 3YO and OLDER FILLIES and MARES
(5) BELLA BELLINI was perfectly prepared to peak for this race and that is bad news for her rivals because she rarely loses to her own gender with big money on the line. (4) WARRAWEE XENIA had a bit of a strange trip last week because she pulled early but there was no urgency to advance on the leader with most of the mares in the field making the final. I think she sits and saves her rally for the lane this week, but the choice will likely be long gone when she gets into top gear. She could provide some Exacta value, however. (3) RAISED BY LINDY under the choice probably represents about a $10 Exacta. I'll try to beat her out of the top two. (6) ADARE CASTLE is putting together a solid four-year-old campaign and it would be no surprise if she bettered this prediction.
Race 6: PEPSI NORTH AMERICA CUP XL CONSOLATION: 3 YEAR OLDS
I think (8) EL REY is best here, and he Zeron will look to get him positioned closer to the front leaving the gate; top call. (1) STOCKADE SEELSTER just missed making the final finishing 3rd in the fastest division and he is the obvious threat and likely the one to catch when they turn home. (3) ANTS MARCHING should sit and rally for a share tonight. (6) HUNGRY ANGEL BOY is typically in the mix for a share, and he should be part of the Tri or Super tonight.
Race 7: GOODTIMES FINAL: 3 YO COLTS AND GELDINGS - $100K Gtd. Pick 5
(2) GAINES HANOVER should be tight as a drum now, and he will probably prove tough to beat in this third start back. (1) SOUTHWIND COORS razor sharp and getting faster with each start. If one of them is going to nail the choice, it will likely be him. (4) WARAWEE YANG is in great form and so is driver Young, but this is a tough assignment; small share predicted. (5) HASTY BID is an honest hard trier that should be good for at least a slice again.
Race 8: Race 9: MOHAWK GOLD CUP INVITATIONAL
Nice field assembled for this year's edition of the Gold Cup. (4) LINEDRIVE HANOVER looked good pacing a big back 1/2 in his comeback race and he can avenge his loss by the slimmest nose in last year's race. (5) ABUCKABETT HANOVER races well fresh, having won his seasonal debuts in 2021 and 2022 and this year and he took a bit of a break before making this second start back. He is a formidable for when he brings his best; using. (6) TATTOO ARTIST likes this track, and you know where he is headed leaving the gate. His speed should have him in position to take a good share. (8) CAPTAIN KIRK finished full of pace last week after being locked in, but it was too late. You could bet worse 30 to 1 shots tonight.
Race 9: ROSES ARE RED FINAL 3YO and OLDER FILLIES and MARES - Pick 5
(2) TREACHEROUS DRAGON won the Breeders Crown here last year and is peaking now. Take your pick between here and (4) GRACE HILL who both are at the top of their games and very fast. Local (5) SO MUCH MORE always gives her all but she will likely find the top two just too tough tonight. (3) AMAZING DREAM N is in good form, and she will likely sit a trip near the front and land in the Super or Tri.
Race 10: FAN HANOVER FINAL 3YO FILLIES - Pick 4
(5) SYLVIA HANOVER probably gets her biggest test here tangling with (3) TWIN B JOE FRESH. It seems as though the former rises to every challenge and that's what I expect tonight. The latter is the obvious threat but at this point I think the choice is just better. (2) UCANDOIT BLUE CHIP looks like one that will sit a good trip and work her way into the exotics at a price. (4) ZANNATA will probably get a trip similar to last week's. She is in the exotics mix.
Race 11: NORTH AMERICA CUP XL FINAL: 3 YEAR OLDS
This is one of the deeper fields in a while for this prestigious race. I'm going to side with (2) IT’S MY SHOW who has been a different horse at three since being gelded and I think might go off third choice tonight and offer some value. (5) CONFEDERATE is clearly a horse with high speed that can be raced from anywhere and having Tetrick in the bike obviously won't hurt. He should be right there. (6) VOUKEFALOS made a nice recovery last week, but he will probably get overbet on that angle. He can win, but I don't want him if he is an underlay. (9) SAVE AMERICA is another that woke up after he was gelded before his penultimate start. I can see him closing late to get a good piece here.

Race 12: F&M NW $20,000 L5 or $35,750 L8
Nice betting race here. I'll take a stab with shipper (5) STYLE FOR A MILE, who should appreciate getting away from Boudoir Hanover who won her last three starts. (2) VOELZ DELIGHT was improving before she tried the best in the Roses Are Red elimination. She should improve tonight, and her price should be good; using. (4) PARISIAN BLUE CHIP will likely get the type of set up she needs tonight, and she should be flying late. She is another that can win. (8) SHESASHARPSHOOTER has been on fire lately, but she will probably find this group too tough; small share predicted.
Race 13: NW $14,500 L5 or $29,750 L10 AE: OPT CLM $65,000
Several droppers exiting the same race are in play here. I'll side with (8) LAWLESS SHADOW, who tried hard for the front leaving last week but was forced into the pocket by the winner who went right down the road from the rail in 1:49 2/5. (7) ARTIES IDEAL was mired along the pylons in the lane but he outfinished the choice. He was right there at this level two starts back and he is a contender here. (12) THE GREEK FREAK was absolutely last turning for home last week so he will likely get a better trip tonight, even from the 12-hole. Macdonald sticks with him over two others and his wicked late kick makes him a threat. (9) BEYOND BETTER is in peak form but the trip and pace were just too tough last week. I think he sits and rallies which is his best game anyway. (5) JABBERWOCKY is going well for a hot barn. He could step up and take a share.
Others to consider: (6) CADILLAC BAYAMA typically closes for a share at this level, and he could be part of this High-5. (10) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER was airborne late last week, and he would be rated higher if he drew better. I could see him landing in the bottom of the High-5. (3) SINTRA is a hard-knocking veteran that is finding his form. He is another that could take a share.
My tickets: 8/7,9,12/5,7,9,12/3,5,6,7,9,10,12/3,5,6,7,9,10,12 = $36
7,9,12/8/5,7,9,12/3,5,6,7,9,10,12/3,5,6,7,9,10,12 = $36
