(4) THE GREEK FREAK drops for this second start of the year and his 1:51 3/5 qualifier indicates readiness; top call. (1) FABRIZIO N comes off an impressive first up score in a similar class and the rail is a good post for him. He would be no surprise. (10) LEGION SEELSTER drops and although his PPs indicate he has no gate speed, but he has shown in the past that he can blast early. If he lands in the top 5 at the start, he can win here, and I'll use him in the Pick 5. (2) ROCKIN N TALKIN should sit another trip and land in the bottom of the exotics.

Race 2: NW $5,100 L5 or $13,600 L10

(6) ARMOR SEELSTER flew late last week which should set him up perfectly for a big speed try on the class drop tonight; top call. (3) HAIL CHRISTIAN N is the other dropper in here and he fits well. He is the likely main danger to the choice. (5) ACTOR HANOVER couldn't convert a pocket trip last week and this is probably a tougher spot. I'll use him underneath. (4) RESPECT OUR FLAG closed well last week but he often gets tough trips and is looking for room late. I'll also use him underneath here.

Race 3: NW $20,000 L5 or $30,000 L10 AE: NW 10 LT

(7) CENTURY HEINEKEN gets off the rail and faces easier so he should be strutting his best stuff on the engine tonight. Beat him to greet the cashier. (1) NAUTICAL HANOVER drops from the top class and J Mac will likely send him as hard as he can early to get position. He should be the main threat. (5) CODENAME CIGAR BOX finished just behind the choice after going first up in fast fractions and he could do with the right trip. (4) LAWLESS SHADOW figures to sit another trip near the front and take a slice.

Race 4: SBOA FINAL 3YO Filly Trot - Pick 4

(10) HP EXTRA ICE moved too late last week but that effort should be a perfect prep for this $130K final and I'm expecting the leading driver to put her into the race sooner. She gets the nod to turn the tables on streaking (9) CLIMB THE POLE, who couldn't be any sharper and is hard to leave off multi-race tickets. (2) BARONESS HILL puts the trotting hopples back on tonight and she is capable on her best; for deeper multi-race tickets. (5) ENOLA is in solid form, and she should be part of the exotics.

Race 5: SBOA FINAL 3YO Filly Pace

(3) LYONS BETTORDAY paced a 53 1/5 back 1/2 in defeat last week and if the pace is more honest tonight, she can get the job done. (5) SAVETHELASTDANCE got the job done as expected in her sophomore debut and she is the one to fear shooting for this lucrative purse. (4) BIG BIG PLANS lacked room until it was too late in her last start. She has upset potential here in this third start back. (7) CHEESY SMILE, last year's Superfinal winner, is another that is likely to move forward here in a good betting race that offers plenty of options.

Race 6: SBOA FINAL 3YO Colts and Geldings Trot - Pick 5

(5) HASTY BID absolutely flew late in his sophomore debut, but rival (3) OSCEOLA got the jump on him. I see these two fighting it out again and the former turning the tables. (6) TUSCAN PRINCE crushed his previous lifetime mark but I'm not sure he gets the same uncontested lead most of the way tonight. I’ll play to beat him. (9) PASSARINO is obviously much-improved at three and you'll get a great price of you like him from the 9-hole here.

Race 7: SBOA FINAL 3YO Colts and Geldings Pace - Pick 4

Last year's top rookie pacing colt (9) STOCKADE SEELSTER gets unveiled shooting for $136K in this sophomore debut so the intent should be there. He certainly looks ready to roll and he is the one to beat. (7) WRITE ME A ROSE has come back faster and there is a good probability that he will end up racing in the choice's pocket here; upset chance. (2) MOMENT IS HERE comes in off a solid win vs. some elders and he should be part of the Tri. (8) WHATCHULOOKIN AT is in tougher here, but I can see him closing for a small slice.

Race 8: 5YO and Younger winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $51,500 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000

(3) SOUTHSIDE EDDY has turned up his game in his past couple of starts and he should offer a decent price here facing a few North America Cup eligibles; call to upset. (9) REDWOOD HANOVER is an improving sophomore who should be sent forward here looking for a good mile before embarking on a stakes campaign. He was Macdonald's choice at scratch time; using. (8) PARTYINTHESHADOWS comes off a strong try at this level and he should be in the mix again from the outset. He is another in with a chance here. (7) HUNTINTHELASTDOLAR danced in all the biggest dances at two and he is another prepping for his sophomore stakes season. I'll use him underneath in this first start back.

Race 9: FREE FOR ALL

I don't mind the rail post for (1) SAULSBROOK VICTOR here because he will likely get away in midpack and out into the flow where he can use his big late kick; top call. (3) SO MUCH MORE continues to beat all comers and she is very hard to leave off multi-race tickets at this point. (7) WHEELS ON FIRE is right there every week and he will probably find some cover this week. He is another in with a shot. (5) AMERICAN HISTORY comes off a fast win vs. lesser and he is likely to finish on the edges in this spot.

Race 10: NW $9,250 L5 or NW $10,500 in 2023 AE: Starters for a purse of $13K or less L3

(2) WHICHWAYTOTHEBEACH came back sharp and Macdonald sticks with him over others here; call to repeat. (8) SOMETIME SOMEWEHERE has faced a steady diet of tougher company and he will likely get sent forward leaving the gate racing at this level; Exacta factor. (7) ROCKME ROLLME drops to the level where he races best, and he should be prominent from the outset here. He should be part of the exotics. (9) SINTRA is getting closer, but I don't love the widest post for him here; using underneath. (1) DONTPOKETHEDRAGON should sit a good trip and take a small share.
