Top Pick Stats: 244/790 (-$340.80) Best Bets: 29/72 (-$26.80); Spot Plays: 18/74 (-$44.90) Best Bet: REMEMBER THE ALAMO (Race 1) Spot Play: NO WAITLIST (Race 8) Early Pick-5: 3/1,2/2,5/3,4/5   $1.60 Middle Pick-5: 5,7/6/2/1,3,6/7,10   $2.40 Late Pick-5: 2/1,3,6/7,10/3,9/4,5   $4.80 Race 1: NW $15,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $24,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $2,400 P/S IN 2025-26. AE: 4 YEAR OLDS. (3) REMEMBER THE ALAMO was once again sharp in defeat last week. He left out hard to get to the lead, but was immediately shuffled. He showed a sneaky burst in the final 20 strides and only lost by a length. I think he gets the job done tonight. (8) STONEBRIDGE HELIOS really hasn’t fallen out of form despite minor shares in his last two outings. He left Captain Fear Not parked out and produced an equally impressive mile of his own given all of the pressure he took. (6) CAPTAIN FEAR NOT went a huge mile in his latest where he was parked the entire way, and actually took the lead at the top of the stretch. He logically faded, but stuck around way longer than I thought he would. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER NW $15,000 (ON SIRED $18,750) LIFETIME. (2) ONE LUCKY BEACH was heavily supported in his season debut, and got the job done after appearing like his first-over bid had stalled. He responded and dug in, which isn’t something you see too often from horses with four career starts. We’ve seen the potential that (1) JOHNNY ANGEL has, but after three weeks off, a mid-pack trip could see him a step short in this spot. He should be a heavily backed favorite. (3) WINDSUN GUNNER was a strong second in his latest and responded well when moved off cover. His kick should allow him to get a piece. Race 3: SBOA FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD FILLY TROT. (R3). (2) CHER HILL looked very impressive in her return and is likely to get a good trip if she can get away in decent order. (5) BLUE JEAN GAL picked up where she left off, making a sustained outside move and getting the job done. This post mixed with her versatility gives her many options off the car. (6) MY GHOST had to settle for third behind Cher Hill after chasing that rival for most of the mile, but I think she is still improving. Look for her to be used early in the mile. Race 4: WINNERS OF 3 BUT NOT MORE THAN 5 RACES OR $80,000 (OS $125,000) LIFETIME. AE: 4 YO NW $12,500 LAST 4 STS OR NW $100 IN 2026. (2) FIGMENT was a near miss second to Aye Aye Captain Deo in his latest, but that was another big effort from a horse that is clearly in career-best form. (3) GET WINGS closed from what looked like an impossible spot and lost by less than a length. He was extremely wide in the stretch, making it more impressive. Post relief should allow him to be more involved. (9) SWEET LOVIN LOU was in the upper echelon of the provincial program last season, and showed speed towards the end of his freshman campaign that would have made him a factor in the Breeders Crown. His two morning preps signal he is ready, but he has to deal with a sharp 1-2 punch to his inside. Or, in this case, a sharp 2-3 punch. Race 5: SBOA FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD FILLY PACE. (R3). (5) A CLEAN DEAL isn’t separated from her main rivals by much, but McNair’s certain aggressiveness will give her the chance to either wire the field or trip out from up close. (2) SHES A BULLDOG was equally as sharp in her return and looms large assuming she gets away cleanly. If it sets up between these two, it should be a fierce duel. (1) DAYA is the next logical choice, though I think she would have preferred to draw towards the middle of the gate. I think any one of these three can win it if they bring their best. Race 6: SBOA FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD COLT AND GELDING TROT. (R3). (5) FIRST CLASS MASS was caught in a blind switch last week and suffered extreme traffic trouble as a result. I’ll try him again at an inflated price, knowing he needs to class up to the favorite. (7) STROBE LITE got a nice mile under his belt in his return and is likely to step forward from that. He is the horse to beat. (2) TOUCHEDBYANANGEL utilized his gate speed and got the jump on Strobe Lite last week. He won’t have that kind of advantage on him this week, though, and I think will have to settle for an underneath spot. Race 7: SBOA FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD COLT AND GELDING PACE. (R3). (6) BEAU JANGLES easily took care of his rivals in his return. The undefeated phenom didn’t miss a beat, and takes on the same horses he has thumped time and time again. (7) WINDOR couldn’t win the sprint home but finished a good second in his return. I would expect him to be forwardly placed off the car and potentially wind up best of the rest. (2) REDLAND ROCKET MAN might wind up in a similar spot to last week, but his sharp kick should give him the chance to pass horses and land on the ticket. Race 8: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME. (2) NO WAITLIST was mired in the middle of another Beau Jangles demolition job, but he paced home strongly and is likely to be tighter tonight. I could see him tripping out as an inflated second choice. (6) SCORPION SEELSTER is the fastest horse in this field, but the miscue he made last week raises slight concern. However, if he gets things his own way up front, he will be tough to beat. (7) I LOVE THIS BAR has posted two strong miles this year and has a middle move that can be sustained to allow him to get a piece. Race 9: OPEN. (1) BRUE HANOVER gets my tepid nod in a potentially wide open race. He has been keeping the most consistent form at the top level and doesn’t have to deal with his stablemate or Calicojack Hanover. (3) POSEIDON SEELSTER got a setup last week and was able to hold off Write Me A Rose who was charging on his outside. An aggressive steer could see him step back up with a big effort. (6) ITS SATURDAY NIGHT couldn’t sprint with the top two in his latest, but still paced a good mile. He is another with the ability and back class to get back in the winner’s circle. Race 10: NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $18,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. AE: NW $30,000 IN 2026 (MIN 10 STARTS). (10) CHAIN GANG had a tough second tier assignment last week, but made a strong move to get into contention, and paced home strongly to finish a good third. If he shows up again, he should be tough to beat. (7) UNCLE SHANK A gets his nose back on the gate for a likely speed try. I find it can be difficult to forecast who leaves and how things potentially set up when you get to upper-level races like this, but it’s our job to try. A potential perfect trip could await him if he shows up. (1) WHATCHULOOKIN AT can be forgiven for last week’s trip around the track. He is much more likely to work out a mid-pack trip and work off a helmet, which he excels at. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 11: NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $16,250 LAST 8 STARTS (W/O $17,500 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: STARTER FOR PURSE OF $10,000 L4. AE: N/A $1,750 P/S IN 2025-26. (9) RBSTENACIOUS T returns to the class where he last won. He got a good trip last week, but didn’t have the most room, and likely was shut down by Cullen in mid stretch. I would look for him to blast and turn another forward trip into a win. (3) SET SHOT was a strong second in his first start in six weeks. A step forward from that line makes him very tough in this spot. (4) HUNGRY MAN gets a double drop and could resort to a speed try, though I think he is more likely to try a grinding move from mid pack. I’ll use him underneath. Race 12: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $50,000 (OS $66,000) LIFETIME. AE: 4 YO NW $4,500 LAST 4 STS. (5) ODDS ON BULLFROG was a sharp second in his return and is likely to improve on that assuming he doesn’t get away too far back. He showed gate speed last season which should come into play. (4) BACKUP PLAN is another who has a sharp closing kick and should use it to great effect. This could be his week if he gets the right setup. (7) BLAZING CRUISER was overmatched in the Juravinski, but his previous Mohawk form fits right in with these. I would look for him to float out at the very least to try and secure a decent position off the car.
