Top Pick Stats: 148 - 492 / $712.90 (-$271.10) Best Bets: 24 - 47 / $77.30 (-$16.70) Spot Plays: 6 - 45 / $23.90 (-$66.10) Best Bet: TAURASI (2ND) Spot Play: BALLYKEEL PAINTER (6TH) Early Pick 5: 3,8/5/1,4,8/2,3,10/1,2,7 = $10.80 Late Pick 5: 1,3,7/1,2/6,8/3,4,5/1,4 = $14.40 Early Pick 4: 2,3,10/1,2,7/1,3,7/1,2 = $10.80 Late Pick 4: 6,8/3,4,5/1,4/1,8,10 = $7.20 Race 1: F&M NW $17,250 L5 AE: NW9 or $100,000 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** (3) TALK CURDY TO ME changed hands last October and she immediately lowered her lifetime mark with a win at The Meadowlands. She ships back north, moves to the Menary barn and she looks ready for this four-year-old debut; top call in the opener. (8) SHES GOT IT ALL should get a good trip racing on or near the lead tonight and she is the other one that I’ll use in the early Pick 5. (5) ANGOSTURA HANOVER gets off the rail tonight and she should get out and into the flow this time. She is in the exotics mix. (4) SETTN A PRECEDENT can close for a small slice in this spot. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: PREFERRED (5) TAURASI was impressive winning here on 3/23, producing a quick and deciding burst in early stretch. He shoots for an eighth straight win here and he is hard to go against. (2) SAULSBROOK VICTOR got away from the choice and jogged last week. He has a good chance to complete this Exacta. (6) WHICHWAYTOTHEBEACH did all the work in the New Holland Series final and got picked off late. He should be in the mix for a share here. (1) AMERICAN HISTORY will likely pass a couple of these late and land in the bottom of the exotics. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: NW $8,100 L5 or $22,600 L10 AE: OPT CLM $50,000 (8) THE LONGEST YARD gets needed class relief here and I think Jamieson puts him into play leaving the gate. I’ll give him the nod in a race that has a few options. (1) LETS TIE ONE ON drops and gets Cullen back and he is in with a decent chance here at what should be a good price; using. (4) CONTROL HEAVEN will surely get a better trip in this spot. He is another viable option for the early Pick 5. (7) FLYINGEVENBETTOR N is in the mix most weeks it seems, and he has finished 3rd in three straight. He’s a good one to use underneath in the exotics. Race 4: 5YO and younger winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $45,000 LT - Pick 4 (3) RJS SUPERFREAK did all the work and set some big splits last time then was picked off by the pocket sitter. He can win here if he finds a breather. (2) KAPTAIN KARLOS has been 2nd in three fast miles in a row and he will get the trip and win one of these weeks. Tonight could be the night. (10) TARQUINUS HANOVER beat the choice on 3/23 then came back with another solid effort. He is sharp and dangerous despite drawing widest. (8) BROOKDALE JOHNNY moves inside a couple of posts and adds Lasix and that makes him worth a look for the exotics. Race 5: Winners of 4 but not more than 7 or $80,000 LT (7) BETTOR B SIRIUS gutted out another win and he took a new life’s mark in the process. I’ll call him to notch the threepeat here. (1) SPEAKER OF PEACE should get a better trip tonight starting from the inside and he is capable of upsetting with his best effort; using. (2) NAZARE raced well in defeat to the choice. He is another in with a decent chance in a field with a few live contenders. (8) WRITE ME A ROSE powered home in his first start back, but my gut tells me that he will be too far back here and also that he will get over bet. I’ll play to beat him. Race 6: 4YO and younger NW $15,000 LT - Pick 5 (3) BALLYKEEL PAINTER was simply too far back last week. Moving inside, he can lay a bit closer this time. I’ll stick with him. (7) TAMWORTH BOY couldn’t convert at 1 to 5, perhaps partially due to the snow. I won’t hold that loss against him too much. He should be a threat here. (1) LOGAN BEHOLD is one of few in here that shows that he leaves most weeks. He could get a nice trip racing on or near the lead and he is in the mix. (9) LAMBORGHINI LOU just took a fast mark, but I’m inclined to use him underneath here starting from the widest post. Race 7: NW $17,250 L5 or $30,850 L10 AE: NW1 in 2024 or NW $100,000 LT I liked (1) RON’s qualifier on 3/22 when he kicked in 26 4/5 when being asked for absolutely nothing by Jamieson. Then he put in a nice closing effort in his seasonal debut. He should be as tight as a drum now and he gets top billing here. (2) POINTS NORTH was first up chasing Saulsbrook Victor through a 54 1/5 back 1/2 and that wasn’t going to work. He drops again and he should be a big threat here. (5) LIVINTHEBEACHLIFE raced well in defeat, but American History was just too good that night. He should get another share here. (7) WOODMERE FENN will be passing rivals late again and he can complete the Tri or Super here. Race 8: CLM HDCP $30,000 to $40,000 - Pick 4 (8) SWEET DEISEL just jogged and took a new life’s mark under 1:51. He should win again and get claimed tonight. (6) INSTANTANEOUS was live last week, but Hapuna Beach pulled in front of him and didn’t advance a single step. I could see him upsetting here with the right trip. (7) ROCK AND TWIST, 2nd to the choice last week, would have finished 3rd if Instantaneous had clear sailing. I’ll use him underneath tonight. (9) ORDER ONE TO GO is always closing but the wide draw likely limits him to a small share here. Race 9: 4YO and younger NW $15,000 LT (3) UNISON was motoring late last week and just missed. He should get a solid pace to chase here, and he gets top call. (5) VIS A VIS BLUECHIP drifted out in the lane and caused an incident last week now he gets Henry in the bike. He can bounce back here; using. (4) WARRAWEEFORLAURA sailed past the 1 to 5 chalk with ease on 3/22 to break his maiden. He is sharp and in with a chance here. (2) MR ANDREYCHUK will once again get good position leaving the gate and he should be part of the exotics again. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: NW $8,100 L5 or $22,600 L10 AE: OPT CLM $50,000 Last time (1) CODENAME CIGAR BOX raced this low on 1/13, he jogged. Enough said. (4) WHEELS ON FIRE improved last week, but Momas Son Byrne was just better. He will win one soon. (5) REACTOR NOW A is another dropper that figures to improve here. He should be in the exotics mix. (3) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER woke up in a big way when he dropped to the bottom conditioned level, but this is a tougher spot; small share predicted. Race 11: NW $5,300 L5 AE: NW $38,500 in 2023/24 (10) BACKSTREET GAMBLER drops, and Macdonald should put him into play from the outset vs. this group. I’ll give him a slight nod starting from out there. (1) TORONTO comes off a sharp effort and I could see him tripping out here at big odds; price look for the late Pick 5. (8) BROOKDALE MIKI hasn’t done much since being claimed by Zeron, but this is an easier spot, and he can wake up here and get a share. (9) MAMBA will likely get sent forward leaving the gate tonight and he can stick around for a slice. (2) SUN CHIP is another that can get a trip racing near the front and land in the bottom of the exotics.
