Meet Stats: 195 - 618 / $1114.90 (-$121.10) Best Bets: 35 - 58 / $114.60 (-$1.40) Spot Plays: 20 - 58 / $128.30 (+$12.30) Best Bet: ACAPULCO SUNBURN (1ST) Spot Play: SUNDOWN KID (3RD) Early Pick 5: 9/3,4,7/1,2,7,8/2,3,9/3 = $7.20 Late Pick 5: 1,4/1,6/1,2,4/1,6/4,8 = $9.60 Early Pick 4: 2,3,9/3/1,4/1,6 = $12 Late Pick 4: 1,2,4/1,6/4,8/3,7,10 = $36 Race 1: 5YO and Younger NW5 or $30,000 LT AE: 4YO to be claimed for $25,000 **Guaranteed $100,000 Pick 5** (9) ACAPULCO SUNBURN could have been forgiven had he lost last week considering the havoc the wind was playing on the racing. But he wouldn't be denied, closing with a furious rush to bridge a huge gap. If he is as good as I suspect he is, he will jog tonight. (2) COLIGNY HANOVER has Gold lines from last year and he looks well-prepped for his sophomore debut. He should be an Exacta factor here. (7) MACHO PHIL was a good Grassroots performer last year and fast enough to contend with these; using underneath. (6) NOCH TEN has a better chance tonight moving to one of the best posts; using underneath. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M NW $29,000 L5 AE: NW 10 Races LT (3) DABARNDAWGSWATCHING almost knocked off So Much More last time so she gets top billing here by default. (7) BETTER BE DONNA N beat the choice two starts back and she figures to be the main threat here. (4) EXOTIC DRAGON paced the final 1/16th as if her tail was on fire to get up at a big price but she faces some tough droppers here; using underneath. (6) DREAM DANCING looked good to go until very late in the mile when she was nailed by two rivals. She should be in the exotics mix here. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: NW $5,000 L5 or $12,000 L10 (8) SUNDOWN KID missed a week before his last start now he comes back in seven days. He is capable of beating these if he gets put into play and a big speed try could be coming here; call to upset. (2) HARRY G tried an aggressive approach and it didn't work last time. I think he sits and rallies here and his strong late kick should play vs. these; using. (1) GRAND POOBAH was hard-used from the outset taking no prisoners into the first turn but that big opening 1/4 took its toll late. He is in with a chance here in a spot where he should get an easier trip. (7) DAY DELIGHT should improve here because he is unlikely to be first up again; exotics factor. Race 4: 5YO and Younger NW5 or $55,000 LT AE: 4YO to be claimed for $40,000 - Pick 4 (2) ITS IN THE STARS flew home last week but a 25 4/5 kicker got him no better than third. He should have a big shot here if the pace is honest. Grand Circuit winner (9) BOB LOBLAW beats these if he is raced aggressively but he has much bigger fish to fry this summer. I wouldn't be surprised to see him rally late for a share. (3) TWIN B HEART THROB looked good dominating easier. He will be dangerous if he is allowed to lead and set whatever fractions he likes. (10) DYNOMITES PEAK likely closes from the back for another slice starting from the widest post. Race 5: 5YO and Younger NW6 or $100,000 LT (3) CENTURY HEINEKEN deserved better after pacing a 53 1/5 back 1/2 uncovered on the rim last week, but he was shaded by a perfect trip rival late. He gets top call off that effort. (9) CENTURY HANNIBAL exits that same race and he wasn't far back while pacing a 25 4/5 kicker. I can see Henry putting him into play leaving the gate and getting a good piece of this at a price. (5) MAPPOS LION may have slowed the pace too much last week but that was a solid effort anyway and he can be even better her in this third start back; using underneath. (6) ARMOR SEELSTER had a good sophomore season and he should contend for a share in this 2022 debut. Race 6: F&M NW $15,000 L5 or $28,000 L10 or NW $115,000 LT - Pick 5 (4) MAJESTIC VIRGIN drops and likely goes right down the road vs. these; top call. (1) SNOW SHARK surged late for the win on a night that this barn tallied a hat trick. A repeat of that effort puts her right there with these. (7) TRAFALGAR drops and adds Lasix but her 4/22 qualifier was nothing special. I'll play to beat her. (5) MY MOTHER PEARL should pass some of these late and round out the Tri or Super. Race 7: NW $22,000 L5 or $33,000 L10 or NW 8LT AE: Mares (1) SINTRA had the tall task in his 2022 debut of going first up into a 54 2/5 back 1/2 chasing a razor-sharp Jimmy Freight. He likely needed that race and he gets the nod tonight with improvement likely coming. (6) EAST END gave streaking Linedrive Hanover a race last week, at least for 15/16ths of the mile. He is sharp and he could offer some value here. (8) SO MUCH MORE has beaten the boys on more than one occasion and she is in the mix here. (4) REVOLT was motoring late last week and he should be in the exotics mix tonight. Race 8: NW $9,100 L5 or $20300 L10 - Pick 4 (1) CHIEFS BEACH was a dead game winner last week despite needing to pace a 54 3/5 back 1/2 uncovered on the rim. Stepping up to face some class droppers here should mean you'll get a good price on this gelding; call to repeat. (2) COLD CREEK CABO drops again and he is likely the one to beat here. McClure will probably seize control of this race early and play catch me if you can. (4) GOING FAST was a winner last time he dropped to a similar class level and he is another in with a shot here. (8) SPEEDY DOMINIC A was dead on the board last week which foreshadowed him taking back and making a mild late charge. He can improve enough to take a share here. Race 9: Horses that raced for a purse of $15,000 or less in 1 of L4 (6) LETS GET PICKLED dominated similar last week and he couldn't be any sharper right now; call to repeat. (1) SUNSHINE BOY's March form from Fraser makes him a contender in this spot and he is the other one that I'll use on late multi-race tickets. (9) RAYS KREDIT has found his best form racing in these types of conditioned races. He can take another share here. (8) GOOD AND SWEET is another that is racing well who tries hard every week and often gets tough trips; using underneath. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 10: CLM HDCP $12,000 to $18,000 (8) A BOY NAMED SUUZZ keeps rolling and his ability to pass horses quickly when he makes his move on the final turn is what sets him apart at this level; a fivepeat looms. (4) REAL WICKED is in solid form, he has done well at Mohawk Park before. He could knock off the choice if he grabs a few lengths on him around the final turn; using. (2) MISSION THREE made a wide move on the last turn but he was circled by the choice. I can see him sitting in and rallying for a share this time. (3) SPECTRUM SEELSTER should land in the Tri or Super off another following trip. Race 11: NW $3,000 L5 or $8,000 L5 AE: N/A $1,000 per start in 2021-22 (7) JM JACK OF HEARTS had late pace last week but he was trying to close from an impossible spot. He won at a higher level six starts back and he can beat these if he gets moving earlier. (10) DONTPOKETHEDRAGON got torched on the engine in that same race and he also drops. He is a threat to lead all the way tonight. (3) SOMETIME SOMEWHERE is another exiting that race that battled with Dontpokethedragon in a destructive duel. He is another in with a chance in this spot. (8) MIDNIGHT MOOD flashed speed in his 2022 debut and he can take a share here. (2) LITTLE MANNY is capable of taking a small share off a following trip vs. these.
