AE: OPT. CLM. $70,000. AE: NW 6 RACES OR $115,000 LIFETIME. (6) NO CONTROL is coming off a 3rd place effort in what was his first pari-mutuel start in nearly two months. He was conservatively handled in that contest and finished up nicely to secure the show spot. He added Lasix in that start and should be even better being back on a regular rotation; top call. (9) UNCLE SHANK A will make his 2025 off a pair of impressive qualifiers. He found the winner’s circle just 3 times in 31 starts in 2024, but if those preps were any indication, he should be sitting on a good effort here this evening. (2) JACK PANIC went on a speed mission and faded to be 4th. He’s better than what he’s shown over his last few starts and will have every opportunity to land on the ticket here. (1) TROSA A was a sick-scratch in his latest and will make his first start in three weeks. He was a strong 2nd vs. a dominant rival and is one that continues to trend in the right direction. He might need a start, but he should be able to close late for a share. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: ONTARIO SIRED SPRING SERIES PACE FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS, NW $30,000 IN 2024. (2) ASIAGO SEELSTER was confidently handled in his most recent and scored confidently by a ½-length in that outing. He should be feeling good coming into this final and should be able to work out a similar trip. He’s the one to catch. (3) TIME PASSER paced a sub-26 final quarter in a 4 place effort. He will have speed to chase in this short field and can pick up a big piece with a trip. (4) BETTORSEETHESHOW angled out and took his shot at the choice in his most recent but was never able to go by. He is a contender but is hard to love given the trip he worked out in his latest. (5) MOOD CONTROL has been no worse than 3rd over his last 6 tries. He’s been much better since adding Lasix and he will have every opportunity to land on the ticket here. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: ONTARIO SIRED SPRING SERIES TROT FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES, NW $30,000 IN 2024. (3) DEBRA is a perfect 2-2 this season and has converted off pocket trips in each of those starts. She did so comfortably in her latest, and was under tight lines to driver Bob McClure. She looks poised to sweep this series, and draws a post edge to her biggest threat. (5) NIGHTINGALE was motoring home in her latest but had too much ground to make up. She has shown good speed at the end of both of her miles, but she might need to be a little bit closer to have a legitimate shot to knock off the main threats. She’s racing well and merits respect. (10) ROXIE HART has captured the first two legs of this series and is one that has looked comfortable in doing so. Unfortunately for her, she draws pp10 but she is handy enough to be put in play; she’ll be dangerous if she works out a good trip from out there. (7) CORE RESOLVE has shown good trot at the end of her miles in her last two efforts. She is inching closer to a win, but is one I think will be better suited for a share in this spot. Race 4: NW $9,000 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. AE: NW $30,000 IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS). (10) BLUE HUNT plunges down the class ladder here and will take on the softest group that he’s seen in quite some time. He draws pp10 and will pick up Phil Hudon here. It should be all systems go despite starting from the far outside. (6) RESPECT OUR FLAG was never a factor in his most recent outing, as he stepped up and took on much tougher company. He was coming off three straight victories going into that start and should be more competitive vs. this group; draws well. (8) SARGEANT SLAUGHTER took some time to get into gear and finished 2nd to a well meant winner. He has hit the board in 5 of his last 6 and is one that should have a strong chance at securing a piece this evening. (7) NEEDABANKLOAN showed some sneaky late pace in his latest and is one that can land on the ticket here. Race 5: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $63,250 (OS $87,750) LIFETIME. (9) THEMASKEDCRUSADR N never had a chance in his latest when got away towards the back of the pack. It was his first pari-mutuel start in North America, and he should be sitting on a better effort here with an acclimating mile under his belt. I’ll give him the nod and hope for some value there. (8) REGIL BUBB hung one for 3rd in his latest after making a miscue in his start prior. He has hit the board in 9 of 10 starts this season and is an obvious contender this evening. (10) SAUBLE WILSON will be making his 3YO debut off a pair of qualifiers. He hooks pp10 in his sophomore debut and this is one I’ll slot underneath given he’s got far more important engagement throughout the year. (7) VIS A VIS BLUECHIP is coming off a win vs. softer company at London. He picks up the services of James MacDonald this evening, and this is one I’m looking forward to monitoring this evening. Race 6: ONTARIO SIRED SPRING SERIES TROT FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS, NW $30,000 IN 2024. (8) FAST SNAP has been no worse than 2nd in three career tries (which includes a victory in leg 1 of this series). This 3YO gelded son of Archangel has been driven by trainer Paul Davies in every outing, but he will hand over the driving duties to leading reinsman, James MacDonald, and is one I’ll side with in this final. (1) FLANAGAN SUNSHINE was confronted early on in the mile in his latest, and rebuffed a rival who tried to brush to the lead. He was still under tight lines to driver Phil Hudon, who scored comfortably in that outing. He will start from the rail but will definitely be the one to beat this evening. (7) FLEETWOOD MAC was a runner up finisher in his latest. He was sitting a pocket trip to a rival that began to tire, and the eventual winner got the jump on him, which is why he likely had to settle for the place spot. He can be tricky to handle at times, but is one that should have every opportunity with the right trip. (6) MANFORCE has grabbed the show spot in his first two tries of his sophomore campaign. He remains winless in 9 lifetime starts, but should have every opportunity to grab a piece in this spot Race 7: CANADIAN SIRED GRADUATE SERIES PACE: CANADIAN SIRED 4 YEAR OLDS. LEG 2. (3) CENTURY KOMODO uncorked a vicious rally when he came from the back of the back to sweep the field, on route to a nice victory. He will take on a shorter field in this Canadian Sired Graduate Leg, and will be tough to fend off if he replicates a similar effort. (4) MERIGO MAGIC never saw daylight in his latest and was loaded with pace during the stretch drive. He has hit the board in 7 of 8 tries and will definitely be given a chance to take his shot late, especially given a short field. (2) FUNTIME BAYAMA will make his seasonal debut this evening, off a trio of qualifiers at The Meadowlands. He improved a lot in his 2nd prep, but took a step back in his 3rd one gearing up for this event. He has the talent to take down this group, but this is his first start since July 13th of 2025, and is one that I’ll take a wait and see approach in this spot. (1) CHAIN GANG will make his 4YO debut off a single, winning qualifier. He was scratched-sick in his latest and might need this start to get his legs under him. Race 8: ONTARIO SIRED SPRING SERIES PACE FINAL: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES, NW $30,000 IN 2024. (7) COEURATOUT DU LAC converted off a pocket trip in her latest to notch her first win of 2025. She should be coming into this final feeling pretty good, and I’m hoping she can sit a pocket trip and turn the tables on (9) WHISKEY BLUE CHIP, who is the one to beat, and is looking for a series sweep here. (4) KANDY KISS has been no worse than 2nd over her last couple of tries. She draws well and should be involved early, and can stick around for a share. (5) DEAR ABBEY showed some life at the end of her mile to get up for the place spot. She, too, draws well, and will have every chance at hitting the ticket this evening. Race 9: PREFERRED 2. (5) WRITE ME A ROSE showed great wheels at the end of his miles at a tougher version of the Preferred in his latest. He draws well, will get Doug McNair at the controls, who should look to take this group on from start to finish. (2) POSEIDON SEELSTER finished 3rd behind the choice in his latest. He has hit the board in 3 of his last 4 tries, and should have every opportunity to round out this exacta. (3) REDWOOD HANOVER left out and got shuffled, and never saw daylight again in what was an 8th place effort. He appeared to have plenty of pace and is one that seems to be rounding back into form, but is likely in a little too tough here this evening. Race 10: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $39,500 LIFETIME. (3) BEN LOOKIN drove on to the lead and worked out what appeared to be a sizable lead, before getting picked off by a rival just before the wire. He draws inside this evening and looks like he should be able to find the winner’s circle against this group this evening. (4) FOUR BY FOUR was 3rd in his most recent. He has hit the board over his last two tries, draws well here and is one that should be sitting on a good effort this evening. (2) TRINIDAD drew outside in his latest and worked hard to clear to the lead, before tiring late. He could pick up a bigger piece if he works out a more favorable trip. (5) MELS LEGACY draws well and can land somewhere on the ticket. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 11: NW $9,000 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. AE: NW $30,000 IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS). (10) PACINO HANOVER never had a chance in his latest when he got away towards the back of the back. He was moving well late in the mile and could be sitting on a big effort in this spot. He’ll have to overcome pp10 but he has shown to be able to leave from outside draws, and is one that might offer a bit of value because of it. (1) SOUTHSIDE EDDY exits the same race as the one above and he, too, had no chance when getting away last. He finished up evenly, but this is one who is a threat when racing at this level, and we should expect a much more aggressive approach this evening. (7) BOSTON BOUND showed good wheels at the end of his mile but had no chance to catch a dominant winner. He is racing well and can grab a share. (5) CENTURY INSPECTOR just missed out to be 2nd in his latest. He draws well, should be put in play and can stick around for a share here. Race 12: POP UP SERIES FINAL: HORSES & GELDINGS NW $15,000 IN 2025 OR NOT AVERAGING $1,400 PER START IN 2024 OR 2025 (MIN 8 STARTS). (4) WIND BLOWN finished 3rd in the 2nd leg of this Pop Up Series after dominant scores in two starts prior. He started from pp10 and had to work a little harder to make front and tired. He draws the middle of the gate and he should have every opportunity to get back to his winning ways here. (10) BATTERUP HANOVER motored home well late to score past the choice in his most recent. He draws the far outside, and should still be given a chance to work out a favorable trip here. (2) GENTLEONMYMIND was never a factor after drawing the second-tier in his latest. He draws inside and should be able to work out a much cleaner trip; he’s a threat if he’s within striking distance. (6) ALL BETS ON TEX was a runner up finisher in his latest. He draws great in this contest and he should be able to work out a juicy trip. (8) LARCENY worked out a perfect trip in his latest but was unable to convert. He can land on the ticket here.
