(5) RESPECT OUR FLAG had little chance in his past three starts facing tougher now he gets class and post relief. This race seems to set up for his good late brush; top call. (2) ISLANDSPECIALMAJOR comes off a couple of strong efforts and he was winning races here in the summer of 2020. He is worth a look making his first start out of the Auciello barn. (9) TRACEUR HANOVER usually looks for the front when he races at this level and he is worth using in the Pick 5. (6) ROCKIN N TALKIN shipped in, got hammered at the windows and showed little last week. It's hard to know what to expect here.

Race 2: Horses Who Have Started for a Purse of $12,000 or less in 1 of last 3 starts

(4) MACHIN A TRICK, an easy winner here on Monday night, seems to fit this condition like a glove and he gets the call to repeat. (2) FREDDY BEAR comes in from Flamboro Downs razor-sharp and he will likely be the main threat here. (5) BET THE LIMIT adds Lasix after racing well off the Miller claim. He should be positioned near the front throughout and take a share. (1) MAKE IT COME TRUE is worth a look for the exotics racing off the Forgie claim.

Race 3: NW4 or $68,000 LT AE: 4YO to be Claimed for $40,000

(1) LINEDRIVE HANOVER paced a 53 3/5 back 1/2 on a track rated one second slow on a very cold night to keep his win streak going; enough said. (3) SOUTHBEACH HANOVER is sharp, but the choice just might be too good right now. This gelding likely completes a chalky Exacta. (5) DR JOE can be a bit closer early here starting from the inside and he may sneak into the exotics at a price. (2) LOU ED ZEPPELIN can sit a following trip and take a small share again.

Race 4: NW $11,000 L5 or $23,000 L8 AE: OPT CLM $35,000 - Pick 4

(5) SPORTSLINE was visually impressive beating easier last week and he is capable of handling these in his current razor-sharp condition; call to repeat. (1) CENTURY FURY has a running string of four 2nd-place finishes taken from various types of trips. He is due for some luck and I'll use him on early multi-race tickets. (4) PRICELESS BEACH was over bet on the class drop last week, but he was never able to get into the race when the leaders cut a 55 1/5 middle 1/2. He is capable of better and he can contend here. (8) EAST END dropped and crushed for a hot barn. He has upset potential despite moving up several class levels.

Race 5: NW3 or $32,500 LT AE: 4YO to be claimed for $25,000

(4) JOELSYY HANOVER lands in a good spot to make his 2022 debut and he is fast enough to handle these if he is sharp enough; top call. (9) STATE SENATOR raced better last week now he gets Roy with McClure having opted to drive the choice; speed blast coming? (2) SILVER MAPLE qualified nicely for this return and he could trip out racing close to the front; using. (5) THE AMAZINGSANDO will likely land in the bottom of the Tri or Super again in this spot.

Race 6: Popup Consolation - Pick 5

(2) AIR STRIKE was a victim of pace and trip last week and still closed some ground late on two breakaway leaders. He should take control of this consolation early and he will be a multi-race single for me. (1) STOLEN ART was game in defeat last week and off that good effort he should be an Exacta factor here. (4) COME ON BARNEY’s typical late rally should get him a share in this spot. (8) TWIN B LAKER has raced well in both local starts and he is another to consider for the exotics.

Race 7: NW $16,000 L5 or NW $30,000 L8 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $50,000

(4) WOODMERE STEALDEAL ran into tough Poseidon Seelster when he dropped to this level last week and he gamely chased that rival to the wire. This gelding looks best in this spot. (8) NO PLAN INTENDED gets Jamieson back tonight and he will get his trip one of these weeks; price look. (7) COLD CREEK CABO will take money on the class drop and he won last time he raced at this level. He certainly isn't out of this. (5) STONEBRIDGE REX was used hard early last week. He should last longer in this spot; using underneath.

Race 8: Horses Who Started in a Popup Event who are NW $68,000 in 2021-22 - Pick 4

(3) THRILLING TIMES lacked room two starts back then he was aggressively handled last week which led to a sharp win. Off that score, he gets the call to repeat. (4) INTRIGUED AGAIN should be the main rival as he shoots for a threepeat. He figures to be the dangerous racing from close range. (2) CHEDDAR BAY maintained his sharp form last week and he should be in the exotics mix here. (7) AREUKIDDINMECABBIE should pass a couple of these late to land in the Tri or Super.

Race 9: PREFERRED HANDICAP

Perhaps this is the week that (7) BEYOND BETTER gets the setup that he needs with the speed lined up on the outside of the gate; call to upset. (5) JIMMY FREIGHT paced a 54 2/5 middle 1/2 on a cold night while trying to make front on the backstretch and that failed move means his price will climb now; upset chance. (8) UHTRED is to sharp to ignore right now and he tends to make his own racing luck using his good gate speed. (9) WHEELS ON FIRE is always dangerous and he didn't get the best trip last week, but he could be an underlay here and I'll play to beat him.

Race 10: Popup Consolation

(3) WHATAWAYTOGO raced well with Macdonald in the bike two starts back and that teamster returns tonight. These are the types of races (with no standout) that J Mac wins regularly; slight nod. (2) HOOTER SHOOTER made a nice late charge for 2nd last week and he figures to be right there vs. these. (6) SNAP TEST was right there last week and he doesn't have to face Farmers Tan tonight. He is another in with a chance here. (4) SKYLAR figures to land in the bottom of the Tri or Super again tonight.

Race 11: Popup Final

(9) REAGAN BLUE CHIP was driven with confidence last week and he would not let a persistent challenger by. He is the class of this field and he should double up if he gets a reasonable trip. (6) FARMERS TAN has excelled with McNair in the bike and he could be a pocket rocket in the lane this week. (4) HARRY G was a long way back at the head of the lane last week but he paced the stretch like his tail was alight. Off that impressive effort he merits a close look here. (1) DAY DELIGHT was game in defeat but no match for the choice in the final 1/8th last week. He should be part of the exotics tonight. (5) GOOD AND SWEET made a nice late move to win here last week and he can take a slice vs. tougher here.
