(2) TRIX AND STONES was just too far back and on too much cover last week but she still finished gamely. Expecting her to get a better start from an inside post tonight, I'll give her the nod. (1) OH SO PINE looked great beating easier with a two-move effort and he should be in the mix tonight despite stepping up in class. This field is right in (5) STEUBEN HANOVER's wheelhouse if he is ready to roll. Give him a look for your Pick 5 tickets. (8) MEMO was right there last week in a fast mile and he is another possibility in a race where it makes sense to use deep Pick 5 coverage.

Race 2: NW $16,000 L5 or $32,500 L10 AE: OPT CLM $45,000 AE: 4YO

(6) UHTRED was impressive in his first local start and if he repeats that effort or improves slightly, his rivals will be racing for 2nd tonight. (8) TORRIN HANOVER takes the majority of his wins on the class drop and he dives a few levels here. He can be a threat despite drawing widest. (4) MAJOR CUSTARD has raced well against the tougher competition since shipping east and he can take another share tonight. (2) POSEIDON SEELSTER looked revved up for this seasonal bow, but this is no easy spot. I'll use him underneath this time.

Race 3: PREFERRED

Now that (5) SINTRA is at his sharpest, he easily could run off a string of wins in the top class. He will be singled on most early Pick 5 tickets. (1) NOCTURNAL BLUE CHIP sat a nice trip and came on late for 2nd vs. the choice last week and a similar scenario could play out tonight. (4) WHEELS ON FIRE is likely to be the pacemaker again and he should stick around for a share. (2) POINTS NORTH should get a better trip tonight starting from an inside post and he may sneak into the Tri.

Race 4: NW $5,000 L5 or $12,500 L9 - Pick 4

(1) FAST N FIRST gets to take a big class drop here after being used hard from an outside post last week. He figures to be tough vs. this group tonight. (4) SIDDHARTHA was right there at this level two starts back and he can work his way into the Exacta. (5) ISITFRIDAYYET has hit his best stride now and he is competitive at this level when he brings his best; using underneath. (6) NICKLE BAG's first start back was decent and the veteran should be in the hunt here; consider for the exotics.

Race 5: NW $8,700 L5 or $17,500 L10

(1) ROCKIN N TALKIN's return race was good and he should bring a square price tonight competing against a few that are taking bigger class drops than he is; call to upset. (7) H P NAPOLEON should wake up with a much better effort at this level. Expect an aggressive Filion steer. (8) ALWAYS A HOTSHOT made two moves in a fast-paced race then tired late in an effort that should make him tighter for this race; price look. (10) EASY LOVER HANOVER will get bet on the class drop but I don't love the second-tier post for him and I'll play to beat him.

Race 6: NW $5,500 L5 or $12,500 L10 - Pick 5

(1) I GOT THE LOOKS brings good form in from Pennsylvania moves into the Shepherd barn and picks up McNair in the bike tonight. This looks like a good spot for him and he gets my nod. (9) DUNBAR HALL drops to a level where he fits better and he might be able to clear these by the time they reach the opening 1/4 which would make him dangerous; using. (2) DANCER HALL’s form has improved in his last two starts and he is an obvious good fit at this level. He's another possibility in a race that should offer several live options. (5) SHES GOT PIZZAZZ drops and she should take a slice in this spot; using on the bottom of Tris and Supers.

Race 7: F&M NW $15,000 L5 or $29,000 L10 or NW $110,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $30K

(2) KLOOF STREET was right there all the way last week in a race that featured some big fractions and she gets top call here in her current razor-sharp condition. (3) MAN DONTFORGET ME ships in from Yonkers in excellent form and that looks like a good spot for her. She should be an Exacta factor vs. these. (4) SWIFT ALLY was overbet last week considering she hasn't won a race in 2020 or 2021. At this level, she should be part of the Tri or Super, however. (1) ROSE RUN VICTORY steps up off a predictable class-dropping win and she should pass some of these late to take a share.

Race 8: CLAIMING HANDICAP $25,000 to $30,000 - Pick 4

(8) JULERICA has been known to string several sharp efforts together when he is at the top of his form cycle and he gets the call to repeat here. (6) MACH IMPACT fell just short to the choice last week and he should be the main threat again; using. (9) MILITARY SECRET drops back to the claimed level but post 9 will be no picnic here. Demand a price if you like him. (1) KEEP COMING gets his nose back on the gate but he is likely to find the top two choices too tough in here; using on the bottom.

Race 9: NW5 or $80,000 LT

Nothing went right for (6) CAPTAIN VIDEO last week when starting from the second tier. He draws the best post now and his connections will be looking for a sharp effort in advance of a stakes series final appearance next week; top call. (2) GRAY DRAGON finished ahead of the choice in a quickly run race and he is in with a decent chance tonight. (3) GRAND POOBAH takes a share almost every time he races and tonight should be no different. He's a good one to use on the bottom of the Tri. (1) BEE TWO BEE is another one that is in the mix every week and he should get a good following trip again. He can round out the Tri or Super.

Race 10: NW3 or $61,000 LT

(6) UNDRTHSOUTHRNSUN N was super in his first local start and he should be very tough coming back in the same class but he is likely to go off around 1 to 5. (1) HARRY G gets his nose back on the gate and he could add some value to the Exacta tonight. (4) BETTER TAKE IT finished a distant 2nd to the choice last week and he is likely to be second choice here. The only value in the race may be trying to beat him out of the Exacta. (5) ILLGETMYOWN THANKS frequently passes horses late in his miles; consider for the bottom of the Super.

Race 11: NW $12,500 in last 5 starts or $22,000 in last 10 starts. Opt $30K claiming

I'm going to centre my plays for this High-5 mandatory payout around class-dropping (4) LEGION SEELSTER. He was one of the sharpest horses at Mohawk Park last summer when he reeled off two straight 1:49 1/5 wins in July but he then missed more than seven months action. He has raced decently since coming back and with a $30K claiming tag on him tonight he is likely to get taken so you know it will be all systems go. (6) EAST END is the other one dropping from the top class and he finished just ahead of the choice last week. He has every reason to be right there at the wire vs. this group.
(7) EVENWOOD SONOFAGUN is another who has beaten much better in the past at this track and last week's sharp closing effort could be a clue that his best form is about to return. He is an upset possibility. (10) MONGOLIAN HERO N paced a huge uncovered mile at this level two starts back. He should rally for a piece of this High-5 because the rail horse should leave decently. (2) IDEAL PERCEPTION is razor-sharp right now and him stepping up to face class droppers should help his price.
