This 4YO gelded-son of Luck Be Withyou does his best work late in miles and looks like he can handle the transition over to the big track in here. (6) SMOKIN HOT SCOTT took some time to get into gear when angling out in his career debut, but was moving well late in the mile. He draws well and will be one of the main contenders at second-asking. (5) JULIUS HANOVER is winless in his career but is coming off a third place effort in his most recent, and will have every chance to grab a share. (10) MARC IT UP was 4th in his first try over the big track and can land somewhere on the ticket despite post 10. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: PREFERRED. (5) NO CONTROL never had a chance last time out when he was stuck in between rivals at the back of the pack. He was moving very well late in the mile when finding a seam and looks primed for a big effort in what is his 5th start of 2025. (6) POWERTRAIN made a 1/4 pole move to the lead and never looked back under very tight lines. He will be driven by Tyler Jones this evening, who guided him to a score at this level two starts back; contender. (3) PACINO HANOVER worked out a pocket trip behind the one above and couldn’t get to his wheel. He’s a threat with the right trip. (2) JACK PANIC never had a chance in the mile from the start when he got away towards the pack. He should appreciate a better draw and will have every chance to hit the ticket. Race 3: NW $16,750 (ON SIRED $21,500) LIFETIME. (6) SETTHEWORLDONFIRE got a little steppy early in the mile when he was clearing to the lead, but was under cruise control once he got there. He looks poised to double-up here tonight. (2) MATTS BANK picked up the services of Trevor Henry in his latest effort and was able to score a gate-to-wire victory. He draws well, retains the same pilot, and looks to be the biggest threat to the one above. (4) SPINDOCTOR HANOVER is coming off a solid, 3rd-place effort in his latest. He draws well and should have every chance at a big piece here. (3) ABOVEMYPAYGRADE was moving well when he angled towards the inside two starts back and never had a chance to get involved in his latest. He should be able to have a better result by virtue of his post-relief. Race 4: NW $8,600 LAST 5 STARTS OR $14,250 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $1,610 P/S IN 2024-25. (4) LEGION SEELSTER never had a chance last time out when he drew post 10 and got away at the back. He was unable to improve positioning but has posted three-straight efforts at this level prior to that outing where he was no worse than 3rd in those tries. He should be involved early here. (7) CODE CRACKER was moving well in the lane to be a solid 3rd. He faces a softer group than the one he took on last week and should be a main contender here. (5) WIND BLOWN was aggressively handled off the switch and hung around to be 4th. He draws well again and will likely be situated early off the car and will need a favorable trip to hang on. (1) ROCKIN N TALKIN wasn’t a factor whatsoever after drawing post 9 in his recent try. An inside draw should have him better spotted early, and in with a chance at a stalking trip; using. Race 5: NW $2,500 LAST 5 STARTS (W/O $12,500 LAST 10 STARTS N/E). (8) LARCENY finished a solid 3rd off a qualifier in what was his first start since November. He should be even tighter coming into this contest and should find this group a lot more to his liking; top call. (10) HIGHLANDBEAHCLOVER didn’t have much to offer last week after being the mile from post 10 two starts back. Off memory alone, he should find this group to his liking and is capable of a good effort, at his best. (5) WRITE ABOUT NOW is coming off a lackluster try at London and will return to the big track where he’s put forth respectable efforts in a couple of tries. He will race for Kyle Fellows here and is an intriguing player. (6) CALL ME IT draws well, has gate speed and can stick around for a share because of it. Race 6: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $11,000 LIFETIME. (7) BEACHOFANERA is coming off a dominant score at Flamboro where he picked up his first-career victory. He had a nice qualifying effort here at Mohawk going into it, where he got picked off by a rival who we have rated highly on Friday’s card. He should be confident going into this contest and gets top billing here. (3) DIAMOND RYDER took tote support and was a runner-up finisher for the second-consecutive week. He should be involved early in the mile and will be given every chance. (2) CORPORATE BUSINESS is coming off an easy score at Flamboro in what was his first start in over one month. He should be tighter and will be in with a chance in this group. (4) WICKED TURNS grabbed the show spot in his most recent try and will be making his 3rd career start. He can continue to show improvement. Race 7: NW $15,500 LAST 5 STARTS OR $28,000 LAST 10 STARTS. (5) CODENAME CIGAR BOX was a solid third after making a first-over bid against a strong winner. He has options from post 5 and should be tough if he’s on his game. (8) FOX VALLEY LANDEN lacked room until late in the mile and was only able to get up narrowly to the one above. He should be primed for a good effort here. (7) THE GREEK FREAK was chasing some lightning quick fractions given the conditions two starts back and tired. Last week, he took back from an outside draw. He should be aggressively handled here and is a threat with the right trip. (4) WHEELS ON FIRE raced well to grab a share at this level last time out and should be able to build off that try. Race 8: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $43,550) LIFETIME. (2) REGIL BUBB looked impressive last week scoring at odds of 9/1 despite an overland journey two starts back. He looks poised for another big effort here and might be tough to fend off late. (5) ON TIME DELIVERY made a miscue off the gate but recovered to grab a share; he draws well and should be activated early. (1) WATCHING SUNSET was moving well late and in what was his first start on the big track since October. He should be sharper here. (6) PURELY WICKED will make his first start in a few weeks but draws well coming in; he is versatile and will have every chance to hit the ticket. Race 9: WINNERS OF 3 BUT NOT MORE THAN 5 RACES OR $80,500 (OS $115,000) LIFETIME. (5) BET THE BB rallied nicely in the lane to miss by a neck to his stable mate. He draws well, is handy off the car and should work out a more favorable trip than anyone else in this spot. (7) RJ RINGO was stuck behind non-advancing cover and was only able to muster a 4th place finish because of it. He’s been very good at this level and should prove tough in here with the right trip. (1) SERGEANT SLAUGHTER finished 3rd at this level after working out a pocket trip. He draws inside and should be able to secure a good spot off the car early on. (2) FASNACHT HANOVER hasn’t hit the board over his last several tries but should have every chance to land somewhere on the ticket here. (8) BEACH COWBOY didn’t have much of a chance in his latest when hooking a tougher group in that contest. He’s back at a level where he was third two starts back and should be among the main contenders here. (6) BEACH CRUISER was 3rd at this level last time out and draws another favorable post. He will be activated off the gate and should have every chance at securing a big piece. (4) LOOKINLIKEAMILLION was an upset winner in his latest and is back at this level with every opportunity to double-up. (7) HOLLYWOOD DEO came first up in his latest and towed the winner. Race 11: NW $4,000 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $10,750 LAST 10 STARTS. (9) BOOMING ECONOMY didn’t have much to offer in his first start since December. He will drop down a level and he should be tighter going into this contest. (10) BROOKDALE JOHNNY was angling for room in amongst rivals but it was too late as the wire approached. He’s one to take seriously in here despite an outside draw. (4) STORMALONG made his first start since August in his latest and should be tighter coming in. (6) BROOKDALE MIKI rallied nicely to be 2nd in his first start for trainer Gerard Demers and can build off that effort here. (3) DREAMFAIR ARNIBE B didn’t fare too well in his latest try but should have every chance to land somewhere on the hi-5 ticket vs. this group.
