Top Pick Stats: 547 - 1664 / $2,863.00 (-$465.00) Best Bets: 83 - 156 / $296.60 (-$15.40) Spot Plays: 27 - 159 / $174.40 (-$143.60) Best Bet: TAURASI (9TH) Spot Play: LA BARBE (2ND) Early Pick 5: 7/5,7,9/2,5,6/1,5,8/1,7,9 = $16.20 Late Pick 5: 1,2/3,4,6,9/2,3,5/5/3,4,8 = $14.40 Early Pick 4: 1,5,8/1,7,9/1,2/3,4,6,9 = $14.40 Late Pick 4: 2,3,5/5/3,4,8/3,7,8,10 = $7.20 Race 1: VALEDICTORY: 3YO COLTS & GELDINGS IN 2023, NW $60K LT as of 10/31, 2023 **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** (7) SAULSBROOK IAN looked dynamite winning his first start back which was his first start racing out of the Fellows barn. Macdonald chose him over two others and he gets top billing. (6) LEAVE IT TO LUTHER swept the Harvest Series and he gets Henry now with J Mac opting for the choice. He should be the main threat here. (3) COME ON ARTIE jogged first up on NW2 rivals and he has shown he is fast enough to contend here. He is another in with a shot. (2) LETS GO JUDE comes off a sick scratch in a tough spot. I’ll use him underneath. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 2YO and 3YO colts and geldings NW2 or $15,000 LT (9) LA BARBE tried to chase down the heavy favorite when the pace accelerated last week, and that trip wasn’t going to work. He should offer a decent price here starting from a wide post and he gets the nod. (7) SHREDDAR blitzed maidens in a strong effort and he should be the main threat here; using. (5) ALLBETSONFRITZ paced a sub-56 back 1/2 in a decent effort in his local debut. He is worth using on early Pick 5 tickets. (4) BACK TO THE FUTURE should be good for a small share in this spot. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: VALEDICTORY: 3YO COLTS & GELDINGS IN 2023, NW $60K LT as of 10/31, 2023 (6) WRY raced well in his first start in 3 1/2 months now he gets McNair in the bike. He should be able to chase these down. (5) CALL ME IT was locked in the pocket with pace for the entire stretch drive last week and he is sure to take plenty of action off that trip. He is hard to leave off the early Pick 5. (2) SPEAKER OF PEACE is right there every week and he should get a decent trip racing near the front in this spot. He would be dangerous if he lands in the pocket early; using. (3) MUFFERAW JOE will likely take another small share here. Race 4: NW $16,000 L5 or NW $125,000 LT AE: NW $40,000 in 2023 - Pick 4 (1) DONTTOUCHMYTRUCK followed up on a lifetime-best performance two starts back with another strong winning effort last week and he will likely offer some value here facing a big class dropper; call to repeat. (5) AMERICAN HISTORY seems obvious in this spot, but he has been racing from the back for several weeks and there is inherent trip/pace risk that comes with that racing style. He is the obvious class but he will likely be over bet; your call. (8) BACKSTREET GAMBLER has the speed to compete on the class rise here and his price should be good. He is another that is worth considering for early multi-race tickets. (2) MAMBA is in great form and he should be part of the exotics again. Race 5: NW $8,000 L5   (1) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER was over driven from a wide post when dropped to this class last week now he gets Henry in the bike. He can rebound here at a square price. (9) CODENAME CIGAR BOX drops and he was 2nd in two straight at this level in October. He figures to be the main danger and he will likely be driven more aggressively in this spot. (7) LEGION SEELSTER is sharp and he is getting closer. His late charge will get him a win soon, maybe tonight. (4) BEYOND BETTER drops but his typical racing style often puts him behind the eight ball. I’ll play to beat him as a likely underlay tonight. Race 6: NW $20,000 L5 or $30,000 L8 AE: NW $150,000 LT - Pick 5 (2) SAULSBROOK VICTOR jogged at this level two starts back and he is strictly the one to beat here on the class drop. (1) FUNATTHEBEACH N is another dropper that rates highly in this spot and he is the other one that I’ll use on multi-race tickets. (4) BEE TWO BEE is another dropper that should be closer at this level, but I prefer to use him underneath. (5) THE GREEK FREAK is sharp and I can see him closing for a slice here despite stepping up in class. Race 7: 5YO and younger winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $45,000 LT   This is a good betting race with several in with a chance. I’ll take a price stab with (4) HURRIKANE CHEYENNE who gets several changes: trainer, driver and a better post. (9) MARSHALL ZHUKOV was one stride short in a good effort in the fog and he is another that should offer a square price starting from the widest post here; using. (3) TALK RACY TO ME prevailed in a blanket finish with (6) KAPTAIN KARLOS not far behind. They are two more in with a chance here. Race 8: 5YO and younger claiming $50,000 - Pick 4 (3) PALLADIUM HANOVER gets Lasix and comes up tagged after firing a 26-flat kicker on 11/25. I’ll give him a slight nod in a tough race. (5) ACAPULCO SUNBURN draws better and the smaller field should help him here. He should be a big threat in this spot. (2) BROOKDALE MIKI figures to improve in this spot and it’s interesting that Macdonald chose him over the #2 horse; using. (4) WOODMERE FENN should close for another share in this spot. Race 9: PREFERRED (5) TAURASI raced against the best aged pacers in the sport for most of the year. This is a significant class drop for him and he should take care of business. (1) EMMETTS BUDDY has been racing great for several weeks and he should be the one to fend off late here. (3) COLD CREEK QUESO has reached peak form and he is in the exotics mix again here. (6) POINTS NORTH is another that has been racing tough for several weeks and he has finished in the top 3 in just under 50% of his starts this year so far. He should take a share. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: 5YO and younger NW2 or $31,000 LT (4) HANGOVER HILL keeps winning at the NW2 level and he should be hard to knock off here moving from post 10 to a better post. (8) HUNGRY TO SUCCEED showed little last week but he gets McNair back now and he should be a threat here. (3) NYTRO J paced a sub-55 back 1/2 in his return race and he showed in the spring that he is fast enough to win here. He is the other one that I’ll use on late multi-race tickets. (10) THATLL BE TIGER is capable of making a late charge and sneaking into the bottom of the exotics at a price. Race 11 NW $4,400 L5 or NW $12,250 L10 (7) REACTOR NOW A fires home quickly every week and he gets McNair back now; top call. (10) ROCK AND TWIST fits okay here exiting the top class at Flamboro and he gets the leading driver in the bike. He could add some value to the late Pick 5; using. (8) INSTANTANEOUS got in a mid race tussle for the front that played to the benefit of pocket sitter (3) TORONTO, who sped past on the inside in the lane. Both are in the exotics mix here. (1) THATLL BE SPORTY should be good for another slice in this spot.
