Race 1: NW4 or $53,000 LT **Guaranteed $100,000 Pick 5**

Tough race to kick off the Pick 5. (6) KISSINBYTHEBEACHES is in easier here and he figures to get a good trip racing on or near the front; slight nod. (2) DR JOE's form is improving and he should be heard from late in this spot; using. (4) POSH ON THE BEACH A exits the same race as the choice and he should improve in this spot. He is another in with a shot in a wide-open race. (3) STORMY HALL GB faces tougher tonight but he is the only horse in the race that has been winning recently. This is a race that demands deep Pick 5 coverage.

Race 2: CLM HDCP $22,000 to $30,000

(4) A BOY NAMED SUUZZ, who has been razor-sharp for a few weeks, goes for Fellows off the claim and he should be hard to hold off in this short field. (5) GOLDINTHEBADLANDS was no match for the choice last week, but he is the only horse that beat him in the past six weeks. He is the logical alternative. (6) MACH IMPACT should take another share racing close to the front. (3) ROYAL RENEGADE should take another small share as he has done in his past two starts.

Race 3: NW3 (F&M4) or $40,000 (F&M $50,000) AE: 4YO who are NW $2,000 L3

(3) COLD RAGE looked good steamrolling past NW2 rivals in the lane on 1/13 and he gets the call to repeat off that effort. (5) L DEES PATRICK adds Lasix and J Mac after bottoming out easier. He will have to be caught. (2) MYSTIC gets a second try at this level after a failed first-over try. He is another that merits a look for the early Pick 5. (6) PRINCESSPARTYPANTS is usually good for a share at this level; using underneath.

Race 4: F&M NW $9,000 L5 or $18,000 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $25,000 - Pick 4

(3) TUGGINONCREDIT was set back last week but she did finish well once she had clear sailing in the lane. I can see her tripping out racing near the front this week and getting the job done. (2) LAURAS LOVE steps up off a win but she is sharp and this isn't the toughest NW $9K L5 field; using. (8) ROCKINWITHCUSTARD tossed a rare clunker last time now she missed a week. Her price will be much better than the 3 to 5 she offered last time if you still like her. (9) SETTN A PRECENDENT fits well vs. these but she has missed three weeks and she draws worst. I'll use her on the bottom tonight.

Race 5: NW $25,000 L5 or $30,000 L10 or NW $140,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $65,000

(10) COMMANDING OFFICER has been the hottest horse on the grounds, winning four straight in 1:52 or faster from various trips. He is the one to beat despite drawing widest. (3) JIMMY FREIGHT looked good handling easier last week. He obviously needed a couple of starts after missing two years and he should be a threat right back. (4) BEYOND BETTER drops out of the top class but Roy sided with Jimmy Freight over him; using underneath. (7) SWEET DEISEL took a mid-race shuffle then came on again in a good effort. He is in the exotics mix again tonight.

Race 6: NW $8,000 L5 or $18,500 L10 - Pick 5

(9) POINTOMYGRANSON is a drop-and-pop specialist and I expect Henry to put him into this race leaving the gate; top call. (2) LETS GET PICKLED cut a big first 1/2 last time and he still almost lasted. He is sharp and dangerous. (4) MAJOR CUSTARD gets post relief here and he should be closer early. That gives him a chance; price look. (6) CAPTAIN VIDEO is in solid form and he should close for another share tonight.

Race 7: NW $6,000 L5 or $17,700 L10

(7) BUCK DANCER produced his best effort in since coming back, trotting a 28-flat third 1/4 on a track rated one second slow while challenging. My gut tells me he wires this group. (4) HORSE TRADER is in solid form and he should be the one to fend off late tonight; using. (8) PROFOUND PARAGON is another that is in good form but from his wide post he will probably be closing belatedly; using underneath. (6) GOLD EDITION is capable of a good rally if he stays flat tonight.

Race 8: PREFERRED

(1) WHEELS ON FIRE was moved at the right time last week and when he hit the 1/2 on the lead in 57 1/5, the race was in effect over. From the rail he should be tough again. (3) SO MUCH MORE is always a threat but she didn't get her trip last week. She should be the main danger. (4) UHTRED skipped a week after beating the choice. He should be a threat again but I prefer to use him underneath in this spot. (5) WOODMERE STEALDEAL had no chance of getting to the leader last week but he did close well for a share. He is in the exotics mix again.

Race 9: NW $11,500 L5 or NW $27,500 L10 or NW $95,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $40,000 - Pick 4

(3) H P NAPOLEON was an easy winner last time he raced this low and he is strictly the one to beat here. (7) THATLL BE SPORTY is in great form and he has shown versatility. He should be an Exacta factor tonight. (2) FABRIZIO N stayed buried to the stretch last week and it worked out when he got the room he needed. He should be good for a share here off a similar trip (6) MUSTANG BEACH looked good winning a claiming stakes series but this is a much tougher spot; small share predicted.

Race 10: Pop Up Starters that are NW $55,000 in 2021-2022

(3) AREUKIDINME CABBIE easily handled every starter in this race except for the two inside horses last week and off that mile, he gets the call to repeat. (2) SARATOGA BLUE CHIP was a game second in the claiming stakes final and he is the obvious danger and likely favorite; using. (5) MACHDAVID should revert to deep closing tactics again tonight and I see him landing in the Tri. (9) P L JACKSON will likely show speed again tonight. I can see him sticking around for a share.

Race 11: NW $11,500 L5 or NW $27,500 L10 or NW $95,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $40,000

(7) SPEEDY DOMINIC A shows a Preferred win as recently as six starts back so he should be tough dropping several levels here, but don't expect much of a price. (4) HARAMBE DEO likely needed last week's start. He has shown that he has the speed to win this and he will be on my late Pick 4 ticket. (2) REAL WILLEY was 2nd last time he raced at this level but that was likely an easier field; small share predicted here. (5) SOMETIME SOMEWHERE is in the mix most weeks. He can find his way into the top four again.

Race 12: NW $5,000 L5 or $12,200 L10

(5) TRACEUR HANOVER is reliable when he drops to these types of levels and he will likely be sent right down the road tonight by Roy; top call. (2) ROCK N ZEUS is in good form and he had no shot from the 10-hole last week when he stepped up to this level. He has upset potential tonight. (3) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER was expected to blast on the drop last time but he tried the overland route at 3 to 5 instead and it didn’t work out. Speed blast coming this time? (6) OUTLAW ACEOFSPADES is another multi-level class dropper who should improve sharply but he could get overbet. Let price be your guide here. (1) HITMAN HILL should be good for another share racing close to the front.
