Race 1: 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
(9) CAPTAINS PICK might have won last week if he made his second move earlier because he got held up on traffic then finished fast. The main goal may have been keeping him flat and that mission was accomplished. I'll give him a slight nod here over (7) HANGOVER HILL, who got pounded down to 3 to 5 on debut and got an impossible trip but still kicked well. (3) ROYAL JK adds Lasix and qualified well, and he can take a share here. (5) ID IMAGINE hasn’t missed the board this year in six starts he can use his good tactical speed to get spotted near the front early; using on the bottom.

Race 2: 2YO and 3YO colts and geldings NW2 or $15,000 LT
When last seen, (2) FULL HORSE was pacing to an impressive first-over Grassroots win at Clinton. He is likely the best horse in this race, the only question is whether he needs this start after missing four months. (6) NOVA SCOTIA STRONG comes in off several strong efforts in the Autumn Series at Flamboro Downs and he looks like the main threat. (4) TF ROCKETMAN raced well in the Pop Up series then came up lame on 10/13. He is a question mark here, but his best puts him right there. (3) CALL ME IT can close for a small share in this spot.

Race 3: NW $22,750 L5
(4) POWERTRAIN drops for this sixth start back from a break and he should be tough getting the class relief and starting from a good post tonight. (3) SOMETIME SOMEWHERE gets J Mac following an inside trip where he had some late zip last week and he should be a threat tonight. (5) NAUTICAL HANOVER gets a better post coming off a good effort from the 10-hole. He is in the mix. (9) AMERICAN HISTORY is racing well when coming from the back and he will likely sit last tonight then pass a few of these late; small share predicted.
Race 4: NW $15,000 in 2023 AE: Starters for a purse of $8K or less in L2 - Pick 4
This is a good betting race with a few live options. I'll side with (6) WILDRIVERBUMBLEBEE, who comes in off a fast win at Flamboro Downs and has beat better than these in the past. (1) DAY DELIGHT is in much easier for this second start back following a vet scratch and Macdonald sticks with him. He could add some value to the early Pick 5 with his 10 to 1 morning line. (4) MIGHTY MACH raced well at this level with Henry driving three starts back then he got two amateur drivers. He is in with a chance in this spot. (2) GRAND POOBAH got an impossible trip last week and he hung in as long as he could racing parked the mile without cover. He is only 1 for 33 this year, however, and a small share is likely for him tonight.
Race 5: NW $15,650 L5 AE: NW $100,000 LT
(5) THE GREEK FREAK jogged last time he raced at this level and he has a big shot here starting from the middle of the gate. (6) BEYOND BETTER is another dropper that figures and he has been racing well. I imagine he will get sent forward leaving the gate tonight; using. (3) IKES DREAM comes off two easy wins but he steps into a much tougher class tonight and he will have competition for the front. I'll use him underneath. (4) CODENAME CIGAR BOX is sharp and he will likely close for a share in this spot.
Race 6: 5YO and younger NW2 or $30,000 LT AE: 3YO NW $500 L5 - Pick 5
(5) BETTOR ON ICE cut a sub-26 opening 1/4 last week and stayed on well for 2nd behind a logical winner. He can do here if he rates his mile slightly better. (3) COME ON ARTIE moves to the high percentage Lester barn tonight and he shows some miles on the 'B' tracks that stack up well here. He should be a threat. (7) CONTROL THE GOLD gets the leading driver tonight and he could wake up, but I still prefer to use him underneath. (6) BETTOR B SIRIUS closed a gap to land in the Tri last week and he should be passing horses late again here; small share predicted.
Race 7: NW $8,500 L5 or $16,500 L10
The last time (2) SAULSBROOK VICTOR raced this low was in August of 2022 and he was a winner that night. He should be tough to beat on this class drop. (8) ROCKME ROLLME was overdriven last start and he paid the price late in the mile. He does his best work with Macdonald driving and he returns to the bike tonight. He can get a good trip racing on or near the lead this time. He can be an Exacta factor. (3) LEGION SEELSTER is capable of better, and he might show it tonight adding Lasix. He should be passing rivals in the lane to take a share. (6) ACTOR HANOVER will likely show speed again and stick around for a slice.
Race 8: 5YO and younger NW2 or $30,000 LT AE: 3YO NW $500 L5 - Pick 4
(6) TALK RACY TO ME handled similar NW2 foes two starts back, and he should have a tactical advantage over his main rival (1) THATLL BE TIGER here. The latter just took a new life's mark in a race where the early pace was wickedly fast and the late pace slow. He is capable, but he faces tougher here and he could get overbet. (4) BROOKDALE JOHNNY figures to be much closer to the front starting from a better post tonight and he is in the exotics mix. (7) MUFFERAW JOE will likely blast off the gate for position and stick around for a share.
Race 9: PREFERRED
(1) EMMETTS BUDDY has worked his way up the ladder to the point where he is usually the horse to beat on a weekly basis and he should get a good trip here likely stalking and pouncing from mid pack; top call. (4) ROLL WITH THE FLOW is razor-sharp and he has shown that he can take air and keep advancing. He should be a threat despite stepping up in class tonight. (2) COLD CREEK QUESO was an easy winner at this level last week in a small field where he faced no pressure. I'm inclined to try to beat him tonight. (3) LIVINTHEBEACHLIFE steps up in class but he is always around the money and he should be part of the Tri or Super tonight.

Race 10: NW $5,100 L5 AE: NW $26,000 in 2023
(9) THATLL BE SPORTY has been racing well for a few weeks and he just took a new life's mark. In his current sharp form, he should be able to overcome the wide draw; call to repeat. (5) ACAPULCO SUNBURN is the logical threat coming off a good closing effort but the choice might have the jump on him when they turn for home. I wouldn't take a short price here. (6) GOING FAST got an impossible trip in the women's driver race hung up behind a stalled flow caused by a rival parking the entire mile. He did well to be beat only a length to a rival that was perfectly tripped-out and he is worth using at a price here. (10) BETTORBEFLYIN would be rated higher if he drew better. From out there he likely closes for a small slice.
Race 11: 5YO and younger winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $45,000 LT AE: 3YO 4YO and 5YO CLM $50,000
(2) KAPTAIN KARLOS was razor sharp despite having missed close to a month, giving up the lead in the third 1/4 then easily re-rallying for an open-length win. He has missed 2 1/2 weeks again but he gets the call to repeat off that strong effort. (6) STORMALONG ships north and goes for the leading trainer and driver. That is a formula that has worked more often than not, but you probably won't get much of a price. (4) WOODMERE FENN is sharp but he keeps falling short. He will get there one of these times, maybe tonight? (1) HURRIKANE CHEYENNE steps up but he dominated easier company and he has been sharp for several weeks. He could repeat with the right trip. (3) REIGN SUPREME is usually around the money and it wouldn't be a shock if he bettered this prediction.
