(7) BACKSTREET GAMBLER couldn't be any sharper and he is the obvious one that the choice has to beat. (3) THE BOSS SAID has been racing well for several weeks and he should be in the exotics mix again here. (5) JK MIKI MANTLE has been over bet several times recently. If you still like him, you will get a better price tonight.

Race 2: F&M NW $12,200 L5 or $23,500 L10 or starters for a purse of $15K or less L5 AE: OPT CLM $60,000

(5) AHOY drops and has a great chance to pop vs. these. She'll be a single for me. (8) WESTERN WISH won at this level two starts back and her good tactical speed will allow her to get position early from her wide post; Exacta factor. (3) VOLUPTUOUS steps up but she is razor-sharp and she can be part of the Tri. (6) BETTER BE DONNA N rallied nicely at this level last week and she can close for another piece here.

Race 3: NW $14,650 L5 or $23,800

(6) SECOND BRUISER looks like he is rounding back into his best form and he should offer a good price here stepping up in class off a loss. I'll take a stab with him starting from the best post. (1) ROCKIN N TALKIN drops to the level where he does best and he should be heard from tonight; using. (4) ARMOR SEELSTER is another that is rounding into form that is in with a chance tonight; using. (7) REAL WILLEY figures to take another slice here racing from close range.

Race 4: NW $30,000 L5 AE: OPT CLM $100,000 - Pick 4

(2) AMERICAN HISTORY couldn't have won any easier last week and he will likely offer a decent price stepping up in class. McNair, who has started 2023 hot, sticks; top call. (4) WOODMERE STEALDEAL figures to be right there on the slight class drop this week; using. (1) POINTS NORTH, stablemate to the choice, fits well here and I can see him getting a good trip racing close to the front; using. (3) CODENAME CIGAR BOX figures to close for a small share vs. these.

Race 5: Popup 3rd Leg

(8) CLEVER CHARACTER overcame a snail's pace to win with broken equipment last week. I'll give him a slight nod in a good betting race. (3) BEACHIN LINDY has been impressive in the opening two legs but this is a tougher field he faces here. I'm inclined to try to beat him as the likely chalk. (5) DR JOE has been flying late and he could benefit if there is a third 1/4 battle; using. (2) ARUKIDINME CABBIE should close for another share tonight.

Race 6: 5YO and Younger winners of 2 but not more than 5 or $45,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000 - Pick 5

(1) SPORTS FAN got a good drive and trip last week and he was simply third best behind two razor-sharp rivals that closed at 6 to 5 and 8 to 5 on the board. He gets the nod here. (2) HOWIES MAN gets Macdonald back here and he should be better returning in a week this time; using. (4) JOE RICH is an interesting shipper that moves to the Cullen barn but he has missed six weeks. I'll use him on the bottom this time. (6) P L OCTAVIUS looks sharp enough to take a share returning from an eight month break.

Race 7: NW $14,650 L5 or $23,000 L8 or NW $100,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $65,000

(1) HUGHIE JUNIOR N will be sharper returning to a 7-day rotation following a narrow defeat last week and he gets top billing here. (8) ISLANDSPECIALMAJOR fits much better at this level and Sorrie should put him into the race leaving the gate. He would be no surprise here. (7) BEYOND BETTER flew late to nail the choice for what seemed like an overdue win. He will be coming late again here. (2) TWIN B POWERBALL was a clear 2nd to a dominant class dropper in a good effort and he is in the exotics mix again.

Race 8: Popup 3rd Leg - Pick 4

(7) ST LADS CASH was bet like he couldn't lose last week and he took a new life's mark while dominating on the front end. A repeat of that effort makes him extremely hard to beat here. (4) I AMA ROCKET did well to pass some horses late in that race. He can be an Exacta factor here. (1) MAXIMUMLOVIN rode the choice's pocket to get 2nd but I’m not sure he can get that same trip here starting from the rail. I'll use him on the bottom. (3) SUN CHIP can close for another small share in this spot.

Race 9: PREFERRED

(2) SAULSBROOK VICTOR may be too sharp for these right now and a threepeat looms. (5) SOMETIME SOMEWHERE is another razor-sharp gelding that raced well first-up against the choice last week. He looks next best here. (1) WHEELS ON FIRE will likely need a start after missing five weeks; small share predicted. (4) NO FREE LUNCH can close for a small slice.

Race 10: NW $6,000 L5 or $15,600 L8 AE: OPT CLM $45,000

(7) ACTOR HANOVER was Macdonald's choice over three others here and he gets the nod on the class drop. (2) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER closed well from far back and he figures to be closer early tonight starting from a better post; using. (5) HES SWIFT should improve enough to land in the exotics dropping in class. (1) GOING FAST typically passes some rivals late and he is a good one to use on the bottom of the Tri or Super.

Race 11: NW $3,000 L5 or $8,000 L10 AE: Starters for a purse of $9K or less L3 or NW $2,150 L3 or $31,500 in 2022

(2) FLYINGEVENBETTOR N drops to a likely spot and he should get an aggressive McNair steer; top call. (10) WILDRIVERBUMBLEBEE has raced decently from the widest post before and he is sharp. Jones will likely put him into play leaving the gate and he is in with a decent shot. (8) CONTROL THE POWER is in much easier here and Macdonald could wake him up; beware. (7) HP MOMENTUM dropped and raced okay last week, but he had dead aim and couldn't get past two rivals. I think he finishes in the bottom of the Tri or Super again. (1) JM JACK OF HEARTS is in good form and he has raced well here several times in the past. He is in the exotics mix.
