Race 1: F&M 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT **$100,000 Pick 5**

(7) BOOZER overcame a tough trip from post 12 to come on late and get a share and he figures to get a better trip tonight. I’ll give him a slight nod over the winner of that race, (4) ACAPULCO SUNBURN, who got a better trip and capitalized. (6) KUPI LUWAK ships north and goes for the leading trainer while adding both Lasix and McNair. He is another live possibility for the early Pick 5 despite having missed a couple of weeks. (10) HURRIKANE CHEYENNE is in great form but post 10 likely limits him to a small share in this spot.

Race 2: HARVEST SERIES FINAL: ONT. SIRED 3YO COLTS & GELDINGS, NW $30,000 IN 2023 AS OF SEPTEMBER 30TH 2023

I liked (1) IM ABOVE AVERAGE's race last week and I can see him getting a setup and pouncing late in this series final. Call to upset. (7) NOTHINGBUTADREAMER, shooting for a sixth straight win, was sold privately in advance of this final. He is the one to beat. (8) STONEBRIDGE BOMBER was good in both legs, and he is another potential upsetter worth a look for early Pick 5 tickets. (2) CACTUSTOTHECLOUDS showed some grit winning a leg last week. He is yet another contender in a good betting race.

Race 3: NW $15,250 L5 or NW $31,500 L10

(6) LAWLESS SHADOW couldn’t get past a resilient Saulsbrook Victor last week, but he draws best and drops now, and he gets the nod here. (7) FUNATTHEBEACH N elected to stay inside in that same race and he outfinished the choice. He should be the main threat. (1) WHICHWAYTOTHEBEACH steps up off a fast win and he is in the exotics mix, but I prefer to use him underneath in this spot. (5) CODENAME CIGAR BOX is capable of closing for a slice at a price in this spot.

Race 4: NW $2,550 L3 - Pick 4

This is a good spot for class dropping (2) FABRIZIO N, who requalified well. If all is right with him, this is a field that he should dominate. (4) FOREFATHER is the other dropper that figures in here and he should get more aggressive in this spot; Exacta factor. (1) MIGHTY MACH is in terrific form, but he faces tougher here. I see him rounding out the Tri or Super. (6) TORONTO can close for another share vs. these.

Race 5: NW $4,750 L5

(9) BACKSTREET GAMBLER was better in his second start back and he should be all systems go now; top call. (1) THATLL BE SPORTY had no shot from post 10 in a 1:50 3/5 mile last week. Starting from the rail tonight, I could see him getting a trip and popping at a price; using. (3) HAIL CHRISTIAN N was Macdonald’s choice over two others and that makes him interesting to me; price look. (10) THE GREEK FREAK comes off a solid effort in defeat, but he has his work cut out starting from the worst post tonight. I'll use him underneath.

Race 6: 5YO and younger NW2 or $32,000 LT - Pick 5

(5) BRAXTONS BOY got an impossible parked out trip last week now he gets J Mac in the bike. He could turn things around in a hurry here. (6) LETS GO JUDE smoked a claiming handicap field and took a new life's mark and this spot doesn’t look much tougher. He figures to be a threat right back. (9) SPEAKER OF PEACE left, took a tuck, got shuffled, then rallied willingly up the pylons. He is another in with a shot here. (3) HEAD HONCHO should improve enough in this spot to land in the bottom of the exotics.

Race 7: HARVEST SERIES FINAL: ONT. SIRED 3YO COLTS & GELDINGS, NW $30,000 IN 2023 AS OF SEPTEMBER 30TH 2023

(5) ARIZONA JACKSON was loaded with pace at the head of the lane last week and when he finally found daylight in the middle of the track, he exploded for the win. Off that sharp effort, he gets the call to repeat. (8) FULL HORSE couldn't convert on the lead as the odds-on chalk. I think he reverts to a stalking style here and that makes him dangerous. (9) LEAVE IT TO LUTHER won both of his preliminary legs at a price and he comes into this final as the morning line choice. Will he be an underlay now? (6) SANS COUCI shows two good efforts in the opening legs. He has some upset potential here.

Race 8: Winners of 4 but not more than 6 or $88,500 LT AE: 3YO 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $60,000 - Pick 4

This short field is perfect for closer (4) WOODMERE FENN who should be within range at the head of the lane then zoom by on the far outside. (5) MAMBA looked a winner when he popped the pocket last week, but he simply got outsprinted late. He is one of the top contenders here. (7) IKES DREAM is one of the only likely fast leavers in this field and he should get a good trip racing on or near the front. He should be in the exotics mix here. (1) DUPREE HANOVER makes his third start at the track since shipping north and his first two tries were decent. He can take another share here.

Race 9: PREFERRED

(2) POINTS NORTH is currently in peak form, and I'll ride with him while he is hot; call to repeat. (1) EMMETTS BUDDY was forced to pull first up when the rival in front of him was gapping out and that hurt his chances last week as he couldn’t reach the leader in time to keep the pocket sitter pinned in. He continues to race well, and he figures to be the main threat to the choice here; using. (6) POSEIDON SEELSTER sat the perfect trip in the choice's pocket, but he couldn't chase him down late in the mile. I'll use him underneath here. (7) CAMARA MOMENT was better in his second start back and he should be in the mix again here.

Race 10: 5YO and younger NW2 or $32,000 LT

(7) TOBINS PROFIT drops out of a much tougher spot, and he picks up the leading driver. A big wakeup effort is possible here and he should offer a square price; top call. (2) GRITTY produced a strong front end effort last week but he couldn’t hold off the 4 to 5 favorite that was winning his third straight. He should be the one to catch again. (1) HUNGRY TO SUCCEED ships into the leading trainer's barn and the stale date might not matter. He is another to consider for late multi-race tickets. (10) BROOKDALE JOHNNY is capable of taking a share and his price will be good starting from out there.

Race 11: NW $8,000 L5 or $16,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $45,000 or starters for a purse of $9K or less last start

(9) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER takes a multi-level drop here and a big speed try is likely. He should prove tough to catch if he can clear before the quarter pole. (10) HUNTER HILL brings sharp form from Flamboro, and he has the speed to get position early starting from the widest post; using. (7) LEGION SEELSTER is improving, and he could get a setup for his late kick tonight; price look. (4) I AMA ROCKET draws well for the first time in several starts. He should be in the exotics mix racing from close range this time. (3) RESPECT OUR FLAG will likely close for a small slice vs. these; using on the bottom.
