(3) HIPPYJOHN kicked home well in a leg of the Harvest series last week now he faces easier and draws better. Top call in the opener. (4) BETTORBEFLYIN couldn't put away a relentless challenger last week while racing on a wet track. He should be right there again tonight. (6) DR JOE was never getting passed last week while beating maidens in fast time for the class. He is another option for the early Pick 5. (2) WHATAWAYTOGO ships west with a solid 2021 record and he is worth a look debuting for the leading trainer.

Race 2: PREFERRED

(4) UHTRED wasn't passing four Preferred rivals in a 27-flat kicker raced over an off track last week, but that was another sharp effort and I'll give him the nod tonight. (5) BEYOND BETTER was a solid first-up winner in this class last week, beating many of tonight's rivals. He loses the leading driver now but he should be a big threat right back. (3) WHEELS ON FIRE hasn't won at the Preferred level in his past seven tries after taking four wins in a row in the top class in the summer. I'll use him underneath. (6) SPEEDY DOMINIC A should be good for another small share in this spot.

Race 3: Harvest Series 1st Leg Ont. Sired 3YO Fillies

(8) BET ON BECKY, the clear class of this field, met the conditions of the race because she was off form earlier in the year and not earning. She should handle this group with ease if she gets put into the race early enough. (7) AWESOME HILL is on a roll and she should be the one to catch tonight unless the choice decides to impose her will from the outset. (6) BEST KEEPSAKE produced a nice closing effort in the same race that the choice exits and she is worth a look for the exotics tonight. (3) P L OOOOOOOOOOYAH was a sharp winner vs. maidens but this is much tougher and she will likely be limited to a small share.

Race 4: NW $8,000 L5 or $18,000 L10 - Pick 4

(1) HES SWIFT stayed game despite enduring a very long trip last week. Starting from the rail he should be in a better spot tonight; top call. (6) GRAND POOBAH was an upset winner last time he raced at this level. I expect him to be more aggressive leaving the gate this week and he is in with a shot here. (5) SPEAKING OF ART is in solid form and he is another that is worth a look for multi-race tickets. (4) REVOLT made a strong move to the front then held the closers at bay in a nice effort and he should get a piece here despite moving up in class.

Race 5: NW $5,000 L5 or $11,100 L10

(6) LETS GET PICKLED gets class and post relief tonight and this is a field that he should beat; top call. (2) HERVEY HANOVER raced well when coming off a break and the barn has been running hot. He can be an Exacta factor tonight. (1) MODERN ROCK comes off a decent effort at this level. I can see him taking a share starting from the rail tonight. (7) THE GREEK FREAK continues to confound racing is spots where he should be doing better than he is. I'll play to beat him again tonight.

Race 6: NW $11,000 L5 or $26,500 L10 or NW $80,000 LT - Pick 5

(7) FOREFATHER was game in defeat to a rival that sat a perfect following trip last week and he should be the one to beat here. (6) SOMEWHEREINVERONA flies home every week and the small field should help him tonight; using. (2) COLD CREEK CABO is right there every week and Jamieson has been a good partner for him; using. (3) ROCKMEROLLME is a great one to use on the bottom of the Tri and Super.

Race 7: Harvest Series 1st Leg Ont. Sired 3YO Fillies - Pick 4

(5) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL was bet like she couldn't lose last week and she easily converted, beating a good field. She should be tough in here tonight. (4) CONTROL THE THONG has a big late kick on her best day and she's worth a look for late multi-race tickets. (3) P L ORCHID was a victim of the post draw twice in a row at London. The two races she shows here in September makes her a contender tonight, likely at a square price. (8) SHES A SASSY BEACH is in easier here and she should go better; small share predicted.

Race 8: 5YO and Younger NW4 or $63,500 LT

(4) CHANTEE has been good for four straight starts here and I'll give him the nod to repeat over (3) MAPPOS LION, who drops one class level looking to get back on track in a race that is likely to go about two seconds slower than his last two starts. (7) CENTURY HANNIBAL should get good position early and stick around for a share. (2) THATLL BE SPORTY chased the choice home last time in a decent effort and he can be part of the exotics again.

Race 9: NW $16,500 L5 or $26,500 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $45,000

I'm not sure (2) STONEBRIDGE REX can replicate last week's wicked 1:50-flat mile, but if he does, his rivals here will likely be racing for 2nd. (5) POINTS NORTH and (6) EAST END are the two class droppers from the top class and both are obvious contenders here. (4) UNDRTHSOUTHRNSUN, 2nd to the choice last week, should be in the exotics mix again this week.

Race 10: NW3 (F&M6) or $40,000 (F&M $50,000) LT

Tough race to end the Pick 5. I'll side with (5) SPRUCE CREEK who seems to land in a good spot for owner/trainer Fellows upon her return to Mohawk Park. (2) WORLD BANK just beat NW5 at Harrah's Philly and he is another shipper that figures here; using. (4) HAWAII had no chance racing in the SBOA off a month layoff and drawing the worst post; using. (7) MUSCLES FOREVER should be positioned near the front again tonight and stick around for a share. (1) PRINCESSPARTYPANTS should be good for another small share in this spot.
