Race 1: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS FINAL: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES.
(10) ELUSIVE STATION was a sharp winner last week and likely gets activated early from the high draw. (7) STORMONT VIOLET has been ultra consistent to start her career and is a reliable player for the big money. (9) TWIN B KINGSLEY followed cover behind Elusive Station but had to settle for second. She could work out another outside trip and rally for a piece.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 5: 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).
(2) TH THEO has continued to improve with each start and stamped himself as a major player after his second-place finish in the Metro. I think he towers over these. (5) KERPLUNK debuts for the Menary barn after his most impressive looking race to date. I think he has more to show us. (1) D A ALLJOKESASIDE was out of position last week but appeared to mainly use last week as a prep. He was a sharp second in the last Gold.
Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS FINAL: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS.
(4) STORMONT MAROON is a couple starts short compared to the rest of the field but put in a sharp rally in his latest and could be set for a big effort tonight. (2) KING OF THE SOUTH backed up his upset win from two starts ago and is in top form heading into tonight’s final. (3) SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE gets major post relief and is likely to get the jump on many of these in the early stages.
Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS FINAL: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES.
(6) WE WANT IT ALL looks to remain undefeated. She was able to add an amount of versatility to her repertoire last week which is important. (8) CANADIAN BLONDES finished half a length behind We Want It All and has remained consistent for most of the season. (3) BULLDOG BELLE came through last week against a slightly weaker Grassroots field. I think she remains in the mix but is a step short.
Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS FINAL: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES.
(7) BARBARA MAY brought her best last week and looked ultra impressive when trotting through the wire. She is the one to beat off that effort. (2) ELBOWS UP finished best of the rest and has versatility that should allow her to get into the race regardless of trip. (4) A SPLASH OF GREEN bested Barbara May two starts ago but was left chasing her with everyone else last week. The post should allow her to get in play early.
Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS FINAL: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS.
(2) CATTLETRACKS cruised when last seen in the Grassroots and really held his own in the Metro. I think he classes up against these. (6) HP FOLLOW ME just missed in his latest in a race that turned into a final quarter sprint. He has yet to break his maiden but could work out a good trip. I think he gets the best of (4) C SCRIPT who won by a head in his latest. He has continued to win but I don’t necessarily trust him to sprint with a couple others when the going gets tough.
Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS FINAL: 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS.
I’ll count on (9) TROUBLE WITH NAMES to be unleashed from the outside and bring his A-Game against his main challenger. (4) MAIZE AND BLUE has been the best horse in this division for a majority of the season. He draws well and is the one to beat. (5) STONEBRIDGE WINGS got back to form with an upset win in his latest. He could grind into contention again this week.
Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS FINAL: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES.
(4) CANT TURN YOU DOWN looks for her eighth win in a row and is the clear filly to beat tonight. (7) MCBUBBLES has a sharp turn of foot in the late stages but will need to be positioned accordingly. If so, she could add value to exotics. (3) TAINTED LOVE just missed last week and is another who could kick home strongly if she follows a live helmet.
Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS FINAL: 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS.
(7) EXACTLY CORRECT was awesome in his latest and is by far in the best form of his career. I think he puts it all on the line tonight. (2) WHOLETTHEDOGSOUT was out of position last week but still paced home strongly. I don’t think he lost much in defeat and should go off at an inflated price. (4) ODDS ON BULLFROG stands out on paper but comes off a lame scratch and might not be firing at his best tonight.
Race 10: OPEN.
(3) CRACK SHOT has been lethal against provincial competition which is where he finds himself tonight. I’ll give him the nod. (8) SUGAR MAN was a very good second behind Ervin Hanover in last week’s Free For All and should have no trouble getting into contention this week. (6) SOS SPORTS BET was a sharp winner in his latest but tends to find himself out of position in the upper classes.
Race 11: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 5: 2 YEAR OLD PACING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).
(6) TWIN B MAYREAU gave everything she had in the She’s A Great Lady Final and finished a very good second. That was the best race of her career by far; I think she gets the job done tonight. (3) WAVES OF FORTUNE finished one spot behind Twin B Mayreau but was on the outside for nearly the whole mile. That may have been the only thing stopping this sharp filly from taking the big pot. (10) JERSEY BULLDOG came through for yours truly last week but has to navigate post ten. She was so game in victory and has to be included on tickets in the rematch.

Race 12: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 5: 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).
(3) BIG D ENERGY has, in my opinion, the best turn of foot in this group and could put it to good use against a short field. (1) YES I AM HANOVER has versatility and gets away from some sharp colts. It wouldn’t shock me if he gets the job done. (5) NO MORE EXS just produced a career best win and could hang with these if he gets the right trip.
Race 13: NW $13,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $24,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: NW 8 RACES OR $110,000 LIFETIME.
(7) JORDY N flew home last week and should be situated a heck of a lot better in tonight’s finale. I think he gets the jump on (3) ALLSTAR MANIAC who can work his way towards the front but usually works from mid pack. He could set up a horse like (9) PACINO HANOVER who should look to be more involved this week given his last few trips from well back haven’t worked out.
