Race 1: 5YO and Younger NW3 or $50,000 LT **GTD $100,000 Pick 5**

(9) NATIONAL SPORT raced tough against better in the Grassroots final. The main question here is if he will be sharp enough after missing three weeks but his price should make it worth the risk and he does go for Moreau in this spot. (2) MENLO PARK produces strong efforts almost every week and he is a bit unlucky to stuck on two wins. I'll use him in this early Pick 5. (1) SIDDHARTHA stepped up off a loss and recorded a big upset last week. He could trip out again here and he's not out of this. (10) BETTOR AT HIGHTIDE was sharp beating easier last week but facing tougher and starting from the second tier here I'll use him on the bottom only.

Race 2: NW3 (F&M5) or $40,000 (F&M $50,000)

(6) NIMBUS DEO powered home late to win at this level last week and she draws perfectly to work out another nice trip racing near the front; call to repeat. (2) CHARMBO PRINCE raced decently uncovered in that race. With a better trip he could turn the tables. (7) CHEESES MURPHY is right there every week and he should be blasting again and lasting for a slice. (9) NEVER MIND N switches barns but draws worst. I'll give him one coming off a break.

Race 3: FILLIES and MARES PREFERRED HANDICAP

(7) LIT DE ROSE should be able to cut slower fractions in this compact field that includes several mares that are stepping up to this level and she is a good bet to lead all the way. (5) PARISIAN BLUE CHIP rode the choice's pocket and beat her by two lengths last time. She's the main threat. (6) KENDALL SEELSTER isn't out of this but she could be compromised by the expected even pace and I'll use her underneath. (1) BESTSELLER HANOVER draws much better and she can take a small slice here.

Race 4: 4YO and Younger NW2 or $30,000 LT - Pick 4

(4) COLD CREEK CABO, a two-move winner last time, is clearly at the top of his game and the horse to beat here. (3) PERSEUS SEELSTER should improve going for Moreau and he is on my early multi-race tickets. (1) DRAGON ROARS AGAIN goes for a barn that sends them ready and he has shown enough speed in his summer races to be a contender here; using. (6) NEED AROCKET was used up early last time. He isn't impossible here if he gets an easier trip.

Race 5: F&M 5YO and Younger NW5 or $80,000 LT

(6) THE BANDIT QUEEN N wasn't fooling around last week after having no room to race in the lane the previous week and I'll give her the call to repeat here. (8) MARY KAT left, yielded, took a shuffle then came again for 2nd. She could beat the choice with the right trip. (1) TUAPEKA JESSIE N was right there until late and may have fared better if she had clear sailing earlier. I'll use her underneath here. (2) PREEMINENCE should come late again and land in the Tri or Super.

Race 6: NW $5,000 L5 or $10,000 L10 - Pick 5

(6) CRUISING IN STYLE had missed close to a month last week which may have explained him tiring late and getting picked off by (3) FITZGIBBONS. I'll give the former the call to turn the tables here over the latter who showed immediate improvement racing out of the Moreau barn and should be a threat again. (5) ALEXUS EH has raced much better in Auciello’s barn and she is hard to leave off multi-race tickets. (9) KNIGHT ANGEL should provide some early zip here and stick around for a share.

Race 7: 5YO and Younger NW5 or $81,000

(1) REVOLT continues to roll and he will be hard to hold off here as he shoots for his fourth win in five starts. (7) THE WILD CARD was right there last week and he should be the biggest threat to the choice again here. (8) POSEIDON SEELSTER is razor-sharp and he would be rated higher had he drawn better but from out there I will use him underneath. (10) BRONSONS DELIGHT could sneak into the Tri or Super following the choice most of the mile.

Race 8: NW $20,000 L5 or $35,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $45,000 AE: 3YO

(4) OUTLAW ACEOFSPADES exits two highly-rated sub-1:50 miles in which he was right there in both so I'm not sure this is much of a step up in class for him; top call. (1) RHYTHM IN MOTION has improved substantially as the season has progressed and he is hard to leave out here considering how sharp he is. (9) FOOT SOLDIER is in solid form and he has handled outside posts well recently; price look. (2) HAIL CHRISTIAN N regularly flies home but the leaders here aren't likely to be slowing much late so I'll use him underneath.

Race 9: NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10 - Pick 4

(3) JUMPSHOT switches to the high-percentage Baillargeon barn after taking a nice win in Ottawa and I'll give him the nod in a race with no standouts. (7) BLAMEITONTHEWHISKY has done well here in the past with McNair driving and this is the level at which he fits best. He's on my late Pick 4 tickets. (9) MUSICAL SPELL was a winner last time he raced this low and his last couple of starts combined with drawing the 9-hole should keep his price viable here. (2) MISTER OF ALL fits better here and he could wake up and work his way into the Tri or Super.

Race 10: NW $8,000 L5 or $16,000 L10

(4) EXIT SMILING raced tough first-over last week and if he finds a helmet to follow this week, he can get the job done. (7) REGAL SON's slightly better draw can lead to an improved trip here and he is another that can take this race that should be decided by trip. (3) SIR PUGSLEY has the look of one that might be provided with a pocket trip from Macdonald; using at a price. (6) GRAND POOBAH doesn’t win often but he is right there every week and he should be in the Tri or Super again racing from close range.

Race 11: NW $11,500 L5 or $22,500 L10 AE: OPT CLM $30,000

(1) MONGOLIAN HERO N took his season’s mark of 1:50 1/5 last time he raced this low and he should be tough in here. (2) TORRIN HANOVER gets a break with the post draw this week and he should be closer early which gives him a good shot tonight. (3) P L JACKSON similarly draws better and he could be sent on a speed mission by Cullen. He should be good for a share. (5) ROCKIN N TALKIN was right there last week at this level but this looks like a tougher field so I'll use him underneath.

Race 12: NW $5,200 L5 or $10,000 L10

(4) AMERICAN VIRGIN should get put into this race earlier from his better post draw tonight and he gets a slight nod in a race with a few possibilities. (3) MAJOR HILL steps up off a loss but his effort last week where he made several moves into a fast pace was quite good and he could offer a solid price this week. (6) SAMS A CHAMP A merits a look on the class drop and he is likely going to be more aggressive early here. (5) JKNR LIKELTELL is another dropper that should improve but I prefer to use him underneath here. (1) DREAMFAIR MOXY is one that is likely to leave for position, sit a trip and land in the High-5.
