(5) IKES DREAM made a couple of moves to win at this level two weeks ago and there doesn't appear to be many leavers in this dash. He could hold the tactical advantage and he is hard to leave out. (6) WOODMERE FENN draws better tonight, and he should be closer here, but he does have a tendency to fall just short. I'd demand a price. (8) CONTROL THE GOLD is worth a look on the barn change to Moreau alone. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M NW $14,250 L5 AE: NW $500 L3 (7) WESTERN WISH dropped, popped and now steps back up into a field that seems devoid of fast leavers. She will likely get a good trip racing on or near the lead and she gets the nod to repeat. (3) SNOW SHARK should be closer to the front early in the mile starting from a much better post tonight and she may be the one to fend off late; using. (6) VELVET STINGER is another that gets needed post relief, and she is worth a look at a price for the early Pick 5. (1) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL will likely stalk early and close late for a share. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: F&M 5YO and younger NW2 or $30,000 LT (5) OCCASIONALLY SHARP paced a huge first 1/4 in the slop to make front from post 9 last week and she paid the price for it. She can get an easier trip from post 5 here and bounce back. (9) NOOTKA brings some good form in from Michigan and seems to fit well vs. these. She is worth using at a big price here. (2) DAKOTA SHADOW held off a rival that is making a career out of finishing 2nd but that was a good effort, and this isn't the toughest NW2 field. She is another in with a chance. (7) POWDER PLAY missed some time, and she changes barns here. She is one I will play to beat. Race 4: 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT - Pick 4 (9) CAPTAINS PICK qualified well and he adds Lasix, and he will have a big shot vs. these if he can stay flat. (3) GRITTY improved last week and closed well behind a dominant winner. His price probably drops now, but he is capable if the choice falters. (2) HIGHLAND HOT SAUCE was 2 to 1 in that same race and narrowly lost 2nd to Gritty on the wire. He seems more likely to take a share than a win. (8) PLAY N BAD will be closing late again. He's worth using underneath at a price. Race 5: 2YO and 3YO colts and geldings NW2 or $18,250 LT (2) BACK TO THE FUTURE won as expected last week and while this spot is tougher, he has a good chance to repeat. (3) STRAPPER HANOVER could only follow the fast winner home in a sub-1:52 mile last time. He rates highly in this spot, and he may chase the choice down late here. (10) NO PARTNERS moves to Moreau, and he will no doubt be blasting off the gate as he does in every start. He is possible despite starting from the worst post. (8) SANS SOUCI should be good for a small share in this spot. Race 6: NW $27,250 L5 or NW $115,000 - Pick 5 (5) LIVINTHEBEACHLIFE raced tough last week, but the top two were just too good. The class drop should put him in the winner’s circle tonight. (4) ROCKABILLY REBEL N is the other dropper that figures, and he will likely be the one to fend off late. (8) MATAI LOUIS N showed a new dimension last week passing several rivals to get the job done. He can close for a share here. (6) POSEIDON SEELSTER set some big splits and tired last week so he will likely look for a helmet to follow here. I'll use him on the bottom tonight. Race 7: 5YO and younger NW2 or $30,000 LT (7) HURRIKANE CHEYENNE has developed a big late kick and he should get a slowing late pace to close into here; top call. (6) MUFFERAW JOE dug in to win the three-horse place battle last week and he fits well vs. this group; using. (10) BROOKDALE JOHNNY likely gets an aggressive Hudon steer from the wide post here, but I prefer to use him underneath. (2) COLD CREEK GUERERO should sit another following trip and take a small slice. Race 8: 5YO and younger winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $50,250 LT AE: 3YO 4YO 5YO Claiming $50K AE: 3YO NW $500 L3 - Pick 4 Win machine (2) MARSHALL ZHUKOV refused to lose last week when facing similar and he gets the call to repeat here. (1) SUN CHIP closed from Campbellville Road like a rocket but ran out of racetrack. Moving inside gives him a shot here. (7) ACAPULCO SUNBURN comes off a good closing effort in a fast race and he should work his way into the exotics again. (5) REIGN SUPREME gets needed post relief and he should be good for a small share this time. Race 9: PREFERRED (2) JIMMY FREIGHT beat most of these two starts back and he is strictly the one to beat in this field. (3) BEYOND BETTER got held up last week then he was airborne late, but he ran out of racetrack. He can complete the Exacta. (6) COLD CREEK QUESO will likely be the first leader and he should get a good trip, probably racing in the choice’s pocket after yielding. He should stick around for a share. (4) RON has made $100K this year by always passing horses late and taking frequent shares. He is always a good one to use underneath. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: NW $14,750 L5 or NW $100,000 LT (7) SAULSBROOK VICTOR drops, and he has a good chance to pop here, likely racing more aggressively vs. this group. (5) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER had a tough trip last time and hung around for a check. Moving to the middle of the gate here gives him a shot. (2) CODENAME CIGAR BOX raced well but he got picked off in the very last stride by a rival that took advantage of the slowing late pace to sweep the field. He is in the mix here. (3) JABBERWOCKY figures to lead part of the way and stick around for a share again. Race 11: NW $8,000 L5 or $13,500 L10 (1) MOMAS SON BYRNE gets a second crack at this level after being part of a very hot pace last week. He can beat this group, probably racing on the engine this time. (3) FLYINGEVENBETTOR N adds Lasix tonight which likely explains his most recent line where he was distanced. He is capable at this level; using. (5) RESPECT OUR FLAG moves back up off a solid winning effort and he is another that could do here. (7) BETTER BE GOING circled them all in an amateur drivers race, and this is a tougher class. I see him closing late for a small slice. (4) ACTOR HANOVER raced well last time but he steps up off that narrow loss; using underneath.
