We get a good betting race to kick off the early Pick 5 here. (3) COLLECTOR S makes his first start for new connections after being sold privately and he won here earlier this year. I’ll take a price stab with him. (4) WHAT ABOUT ELMO scored an upset win at a similar level to tonight’s two starts back then he tried Gold colts. He should be heard from in the lane tonight. (7) CAPTAIN WANIA comes off a nice Gold effort and Drury will put him into play here. I could see him leading all the way tonight. (8) SOAR HIGHER dropped and popped but he tripped out and I don’t see him getting the same trip here; using underneath.

Race 2: Pop Up series Leg 2

(5) ALL GAS NO BRAKES jogged at five cents to the dollar in Leg 1 and this field doesn’t look any tougher; enough said. (3) BLUE DEVIL couldn’t convert off a pocket trip last week so I don’t see him beating the choice here, but he will likely round out a chalky Exacta. (8) EPIC DREAMER is good enough to take a share if he can stay trotting tonight; using underneath. (7) HEAVENSDOR HANOVER raced better in his past two starts and he can take another share here.

Race 3: Pop Up series Leg 2

Classy veteran (8) WILLYORWONTHE ships in with great current form and Jamieson will likely look to send him down the road for his 55th win. This isn’t a tough field, and he may never be headed once he clears to the front. (6) FLY BEYOND took a lot of action last week then he blew up before the start. It looks like he will be the main threat if he stays flat. (4) E R NORMA will likely be better tonight moving to an inside post, and she is in with an upset chance. (7) ZIP ME UP raced first up against an unrelenting leader last week in a decent effort. He can land in the Tri or Super.

Race 4: 5YO and younger NW3 (F&M5) or $50,000 LT AE: 4YO N/A $1,650 P/S in 2023-24 - Pick 4

(6) MRSTERY DEAL has won three of the last four times he started in conditioned races, and he gets the nod here starting from the best post. (1) SCINTILLATING TOM will likely get sent to the front early again and he should be the one to catch but note he has finished 2nd seven times vs. two wins in 12 starts this year. (7) COOL MA BELLE has been fed a steady diet of Grand Circuit races and she took shares in a few of them. She obviously fits better here, and she should be closing late; using. (8) VALUABLE MISS took a new life’s mark vs. NW2 three starts back and she is another that figures to improve exiting stakes company. She should improve enough to take a slice.

Race 5: NW $18,500 L5 AE: OPT CLM $70,000

(9) GIGONDAS just missed to a big favorite last year, and this is a good spot for him to flaunt his potent early speed; down the road. (1) PATRIARCH HANOVER was a winner last time he raced this low, and he should be the main threat here; using. (8) YO MISTER raced better last week but he loses Macdonald tonight; small share predicted. (4) DEALIN WITH DEWEY fits better at this level. He should be part of the exotics.

Race 6: Horses that have started for a purse of $9,000 or less in 1 of L4 W/O $7,000 L5 N/E AE: NW $2,500 L5 - Pick 5

(4) NIGHTIME DANCER had little chance last week starting from the 9-hole against speedy Ideal Perception. He draws much better and he fits well vs. these. He should be formidable in this spot. (5) CAPITANO ITALIANO raced much better last week, and he finished ahead of the choice. He will likely be the one to fend off late. (3) RESPECT OUR FLAG exits the same race as the top two choices and he will likely take a share vs. these. (1) MUSIC TO MY GEARS adds Lasix which could explain his poor race in 8/26. He is in the mix vs. these on his best day.

Race 7: NW $4,500 L5 or $13,600 L10 AE: OPT CLM $25,000 AE: NW $15,500 in 2024

(6) STORM TROTTER won as expected racing off the Barrington claim at Georgian Downs and he can take another vs. this group. (2) BELLA CAVALLA drops, and she should be the one to fend off late here; using. (4) PIKACHU HANOVER was disappointing last week but I can see him being raced more aggressively in this third start back. Consider him for multi-race tickets. (7) NORTHERN CHARLOTTE looked good throttling a weaker field last week but she’s in tougher now and I’ll use her underneath.

Race 8: Pop Up series Leg 2 - Pick 4

(5) LINDYS IRISHCREAM was simply too far back after leaving from post 10 last week. Moving to the middle of the gate gives her a much better chance tonight; slight nod. (4) COOL CLIFFORD dominated on the engine, and he cut an honest opening 1/2 then kept going. He should be the one to catch here. (2) VILLEFRANCHE AS chased a 1 to 20 shot home last week and she should be in the mix here again. (7) DELCREST BRENT typically passes horses in the final 1/4 and he can better this placing if he works out a good trip on live cover.

Race 9: PREFERRED

We have three horses dropping out of the Maple Leaf Trot here, and of those, I like (2) OSCEOLA best. I think he trips out racing close to the front and pounces late. (8) FASHION FRENZIE will no doubt blast right to the front and look to lead all the way and he will have to be caught. (7) GAINES HANOVER is classy and fast, and he isn’t out of this, but he will likely give up position to the top two choices early in the mile. I’ll use him underneath. (5) HP MAMA B is razor sharp, but I don’t see her upsetting all three of the droppers here; small share predicted.

Race 10: NW $4,000 L5 AE: N/A $2,455 P/S in 2024

(1) REACTOR NOW A drops to a logical spot and McNair will likely move him to the front early and look to control this race; top call. (6) ARTIES IDEAL couldn’t be any sharper and he can win using any racing style it seems. He will likely be the one to fend off late here. (5) COLIN YOUR BLUFF raced well here last week at a big price, and he can be part of the Tri again here. (3) SAUBLE ACE can take a share here dropping to a better spot.

Race 11: NW $9,650 L5 AE: OPT CLM $50,000 AE: N/A $2,050 P/S in 2023-24 AE: NW $25,000 in 2024 (Min. 10 starts)

(5) WALKONTHEMOON raced well last week considering how long he was parked, and I’ll take a price shot with him in a wide-open finale. (9) ROBERTSON DE won 8 of 15 racing overseas in 2023-24 and he appears to have some quality. I just wonder if he will need one before he shows his best, especially starting from a wide post. Your call. (8) SPARKS FLY finished 2nd vs. better two starts back and he can be a speed threat here; using. (4) MACALLAN has turned into a one-dimensional speedball, and he will lead for as far as he can; small share predicted. (3) MUSCLE FASHION raced well last week but he steps up now and a small share is likely for him this week.
