Race 1: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: PROSPECT STARTERS. AE: 3 & 4 YO NW $3,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR $25,500 LIFETIME.

(8) PLAY DATE was a good third the other night and should use her turn of foot to pass rivals in the stretch. (6) BEACH WIGGLE saw her win streak come to an end last time. Her early speed should set her up nicely. (4) ANGELS AMOUNG US likely has the most raw speed in this group, but is listed in-to-go at Flamboro the night before. Just in case she doesn’t race, (7) LADY CENTURY was one paced in her latest but should benefit from another forward trip and get a piece.

Race 2: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(7) PANACHE PRINCESS makes her first start against maiden company and picks up James Macdonald for the first time. (6) GEORGIA BLUFFS was better in her latest and likely has the opportunity to strike from anywhere. (1) FLEETWOOD DANCER was flat late but should still be in the mix early because of her gate speed.

Race 3: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $10,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(8) SHOTGUN ANNIE has the potential on her side because we certainly haven’t seen the bottom of her bag just yet. (4) DUNDEES VICTORY posted some strong miles at Mohawk last month. If repeated, she should be a strong candidate. (2) HOT WASH moved to the Cullen barn last start and nothing really changed. This field isn’t much, though.

Race 4: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. AE: NW $23,500 OR N/A $1,420 P/S IN 2026.

(2) FLANAGAN SUNSHINE was heavily favored last week but raced like it. He can repeat. (1) FIREINSIDEMYVEINS improved throughout the latest Pop-Up Series and I don’t mind the inside draw for him given his ability to close. (8) THE BEAR A CUDA found himself with zero chance in his last two efforts. I like him towards the front, but can he sustain it?

Race 5: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $12,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $12,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. AE: 3 YO NW $2,950 LAST 8 STARTS.

(8) WEDNTTALKBOUTBRUNO makes just his second start of the year but his mile was fine after just one qualifier. I think he’s better tonight. (4) CHUCKER looks like an okay colt who we’ve yet to see on the Mohawk oval. You would think he improves. (5) MR MYSTIC may have found a field he can do some real damage against given his late kick.

Race 6: NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,250 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $925 P/S IN 2025-2026.

(7) GOOBER SMACK is third back now and is likely given more of a chance against this group. (6) SOUTHVIEW AVIATOR keeps Mark Macdonald from a quality post after a decent outing in his latest. An upset threat. (2) WALKONTHEMOON is purely a back class play here. He can grind into the mix and get a piece.

Race 7: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $23,000 (OS $38,000) LIFETIME.

(6) VISTA VERDE loses his price after his last two performances but is hard to look past this week regardless. (5) SOUTHWIND MANHATTN has been improving with each start back and could wind up sitting right behind the favorite. (3) EMERALD ISLAND has done little wrong thus far and should put forth another quality effort tonight

Race 8: NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $2,885 P/S IN 2026. AE: NW 7 RACES LIFETIME.

(6) PATRIARCH HANOVER gets the drop and pop nod from me. He doesn’t have the most gate speed but will likely find his way to the front. (5) VERACRUZ gets a driver switch this week and could beat a few more of these off the car than usual. (4) P C PETERBILT got J-Mac for the first time last week and pulled off the upset, to the delight of yours truly. I think a similar off-the-place trip gets him a piece.

Race 9: 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: PROSPECT STARTERS.

(5) LUNAR SPORT tripped out last week but the Lasix has clearly helped elevate his game. He’ll be the one to catch. (6) OUTRUN THE ODDS just missed in his latest and is another who is peaking in form right now. (7) YOURASTRANGEANIMAL cruised in his first start on Lasix. That may have unlocked something for him for future outings.

Race 10: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $79,000) LIFETIME.

(5) SOUTHERN COWBOY has posted solid efforts in his last two and potentially finds himself in a spot to trip out at a square number. (4) KNGTSTLKRS GAMES breaks my “fading Kentucky shippers” trend because of her raw talent, and we’ve seen it in action at Mohawk. (10) DUSTY ROADS is a trustworthy pick at this level but has to navigate the high draw this week.
