(1) SOUTHWIND ONCORE finds a good spot to make his first start for Team Cullen following a private purchase. He comes in sharp, and he is the one to beat here. (4) WHITE TIGER is inconsistent, but he is one of the best ones on paper in here and he figures to be right there vs. these. (8) ROWLEN dropped and popped as expected and he should be a threat right back despite drawing widest; using. (5) LILYS LASS just took a new life's mark, and she can be part of the exotics here.

Race 2: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT

(5) MADE OF MAGIC couldn't be any sharper and tonight's price will likely be helped by the two Gold droppers taking some action; top call. (1) MUSICAL RIDE is the obvious danger after finishing in the top four in two straight starts while facing the likes of Osceola and Ghostly Casper. He should be right there vs. these. (4) LOOKSLIKAGOODFELLA is the other Gold dropper that figures to be closer tonight but I prefer to use him underneath. (2) GRAND SPA got a clean line from post 10 now he draws inside and he could sneak into the exotics at a price.

Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 4. 2YO TROTTING FILLIES

(3) NO ONE is the only Gold winner in this field and she is still fresh having had only three starts. Her August 25th qualifier indicates she is ready to take another Gold. (2) RHYTHM OF LIFE has been right there in all four starts at the Grassroots level and this isn’t the strongest Gold field. She should be the main threat. (4) ZIPPY ZIPPORAH recovered nicely from a break in stride and produced a 27 2/5 kick. She can be interesting here if she stays flat. (8) SUE ANNE is another that gets promoted to the Gold level after racing well several times in Grassroots dashes. She's in the exotics mix.

Race 4: SIMCOE: 3 YO FILLIES - Pick 4

(3) MILITARY SECRET woke up last week and controlled the race from the outset. He faces many of the same rivals here and he can repeat. (7) BETTOR NOTBITTER A was 2nd to the choice when claimed by Budd. He is durable and consistent, and he should be right there again. (1) A BOY NAMED SUUZZ dropped and popped at Georgian Downs and he can close for a slice here. (4) CHOREOGRAPHER figures to sit another trip racing close to the front and land in the exotics.

Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 4: 2YO PACING FILLIES

(6) NEW SHOOTER has two decent efforts over this track, but he has been too far back. He will get more aggressive one of these weeks and there is a good chance that it will be tonight. (3) BETTOR ON ICE raced well in defeat last week but the choice was closing in on him late. I'd be careful to not take a short price here. (5) CONTROL THE GOLD’s 26 2/5 kicker indicates he is coming up to a top effort. He is worth a look for the multis. (2) THE SERPENT should be good for another share in this spot.

Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 4: 2 YO TROTTING FILLIES - Pick 5

(10) WILLYS HOME RUN finished 2nd to the best rookie trotter in the country last week and she should get the job done here despite drawing widest. (1) R LIZA has been right there every start and she finished 2nd to the choice in her lone Gold start on 7/27. She will likely complete a chalky Exacta. (6) VALUABLE MISS made a wide move in a Grand Circuit elimination, a strategy that can get her a small share in this field; using underneath. (7) P L RACHEL is in solid form and is worth using on the bottom tonight.

Race 7: NW $15,000 in 2023 - Pick 4

(1) BETTORBEFLYIN N, an easy winner at this level last week and he faces many of the same rivals he beat then. Call to repeat. (9) TF ROCKETMAN raced well behind the choice, and he lacked room in early stretch. He could add some Exacta value here as he won’t get bet much starting from out there. (8) HERVEY HANOVER is capable of a rally at this level. He is another that could crack the exotics at a price. (3) FOXHUNT comes off a fast win at Grand River but these are tougher; small share predicted.

Race 8: NW $4,000 L5 or $12,800 L10 AE: 4YO NW $22,550 in 2023 (Min. 10 starts)

(4) RICKY RESOLVE trots a big back 1/2 every week and this looks like a field that he can roll past late. (6) PHEONIX raced well in two straight, but he is 2 for 29 this year so he could be an underlay in this spot. Let price be your guide here. (8) MYSTIC draws widest again but post 8 of 8 is markedly better than drawing the 10-hole. He has a shot to lead all the way this time. (7) SOUTHWIND CAESER closed nicely last week but the late pace was slowing and he is still 0 for 2023. I'll use him underneath.

Race 9: PREFERRED 2

(3) PEMBERTON is in tremendous form currently and Henry sticks with him over another contender in here. I'll give him the nod to knock off double millionaire (2) FORBIDDEN TRADE, who makes his first start of the year and likely has some autumn stakes in his sights. (6) ONEY HALL was good in the Earl Rowe Memorial, but Henry chose the choice over him here; small share predicted. (4) TOKYO SEELSTER raced well in defeat last week and he can sneak into the exotics at a price.

Race 10: NW $4,550 L10 AE: NW $4,000 in 2023

(1) ROCKME ROLLME takes a big drop and gets Macdonald in the bike, and he should prove very hard to beat at this level. (3) DR JOE is another dropper that figures to improve. He should produce a good late kick here and round out the Exacta. (4) THATLL BE SPORTY drops to where he finished 2nd to Dr Joe and the improved post should help him get a good share tonight. (9) GRAND POOBAH is in great from and he is worth including in Tri and Super bets. (7) PROCRASTINATOR raced better last week. He should pass a few of these late.
