Top Pick Stats: 201/618 (-$243.80) Best Bets: 24/56 (-$6.20); Spot Plays: 10/57 (-$49.10) Best Bet: TACTICAL STRIKE (Race 10) Spot Play: LANDING ON TIME (Race 1) Early Pick-5: 5/1,3/6,7,8/5,6/3,7   $4.80 Late Pick-5: 2,3/7,8/4,6/7,9/7   $3.20 Race 1: WINNERS OF 3 (FM 4) BUT NOT MORE THAN 5 (FM 6) OR $100,000 LIFETIME. AE: OS 3 YR OLDS NW 8 RACES LIFETIME. (5) LANDING ON TIME had to settle for second behind Right Here Hanover after blasting to the lead. He was off for nearly a month prior to that effort and may have been a step short. I’ll give him the edge tonight. (3) MYFRIENDJOSE was a fast closing third in his latest. He is continuing to stay sharp at upper levels and has enough versatility to make him a major factor most weeks. (4) P L SPENCER has a post edge over a couple other Gold rivals and has enough early speed to get himself into a stalking spot. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $60,000 LIFETIME. (3) RIGHT HERE HANOVER put it all together again last week after sitting a perfect trip. He has been sharp in recent weeks which has coincided with more aggressive handling. (1) MAJOR BANK stepped up to this level with a solid third place finish and was tracking the leaders the whole way. He should be able to get away in decent order and could potentially trip out. (2) WILDTURKEY HANOVER has the speed to go with these, but will need to get away close enough to make that a reality. More often than not, he is left behind at the quarter. Race 3: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $25,000) LIFETIME. AE: N/A $200 P/S IN 2025. (6) SUPERGIRL MOLLY was overmatched in the Simcoe, but her two previous starts after adding Lasix resulted in sharp wins. She draws perfectly to be forwardly placed. (8) TITIAN eventually faded back to fourth after making a move to the front. She will need more in the late stages if forwardly placed this week, but top connections could get slightly more out of her tonight. (7) SAPPHIRE STEVE has plenty of ability on the end of his miles, and if he can find a live helmet, he could add some excellent value to exotics as an underneath play. Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD). (6) FOXY AMEE has been holding her own against the top level, and finds herself back against Grassroots competition that she dominated earlier this season. She doesn’t need to win here, but is likely to anyway. (5) MEDLEY SEELSTER was a winner when trying Grassroots company in her first start of the season. Despite the lesser placings in top level stakes, she is racing well, and should be respected here tonight. (4) LIL SWEET can be forgiven for her latest effort, but she has a propensity to come up short no matter the trip that she gets. She can hit the board tonight. Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 3 YEAR OLD PACING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD). (3) MACAPELO SEELSTER is another likely odds on favorite that has a past history of smashing Grassroots foes. She brings her best when racing at this level. (7) SIMPLY THE BEST was a sharp second two starts ago from the second tier in Grassroots competition. Look for Roy to have her on the move early and sitting a good trip. (2) STELLRMANIPULATION pulled off a slight upset last week after a first over grind. She is a fringe Grassroots player but can get a piece if she doesn’t have to do much work. Race 6: NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $18,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $2,270 P/S IN 2025. (2) SID THE KID takes another drop in class looking for a confidence boosting win. Trevor seemed to have an idea he was beat when Emoji Hanover loomed up on the outside. He should get away in good order again and have every chance. (3) PATRIARCH HANOVER caught the eye when moving three wide and was able to sustain his move for the win in what was his first start since March. We know how classy he is, but producing an effort like that off the bench was impressive. (6) WILLOWTIME made two moves in his latest after being off three weeks. He towed Patriarch Hanover right into contention but sustained a nice move himself. Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5B. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD). (7) IVY LYNN took a step forward in his second start after the qualifier, and doesn’t have to face off against the likes of Caballero and Ultra Myles tonight. This could be his time to step forward and produce a winning effort. (8) SHESAMANALISHI seemed to get some confidence after his win two starts ago, and came back with another nice win at Hanover. If McClure has her on the move early, she should threaten for the win again. (4) TELLERS CHOICE has been finishing well from off the pace and could capitalize if the front end speed falters. Race 8: NW $12,600 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $24,000 LAST 8 STARTS.  AE: OPT. CLM. $70,000. AE: NW 8 RACES LIFETIME. (4) DEVILS ARCH went off at a juicy 6-1 and got the job done after sitting a perfect trip. He steps up, but I think he can pull off the repeat win. (6) PENNTELLER HANOVER got two tighteners under his belt and now gets Louis Roy back in the bike, who knows this guy well. He could be let loose on the front tonight. (2) QUEBEC HANOVER could not hold off Emoji Hanover after a speed try. He tends to race well when sent towards the front. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 3 YEAR OLD PACING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD). (7) ALL MY WISHES got away in the three hole last week and had to settle for fourth after being unable to get clear sailing in the stretch. She tends to bring her best when racing at the Grassroots level. (9) SUGAR PIE HONEY was a sharp winner last week after a first over move. The post makes it tougher, but if she is at least floated off the car, she should have the chance to blitz again. (5) TALL DARK LADY comes off two solid wins at Grand River and could be sitting the perfect trip when turning for home. Race 10: NW $6,000 LAST 4 OR NW $12,600 LAST 8 STARTS (W/O $15,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E) AE: NW $30,000 IN 2025 (MIN 14 STARTS). AE: N/A $1,410 P/S IN 2025. (7) TACTICAL STRIKE finds a nice middle ground class where she should be able to do some damage. It all depends on where she can get away, but I would expect her to try and be forwardly placed. (2) VERACRUZ has decent staying power when trying an outside move, and could add some decent value to exotics if he finds a live helmet. (6) ROBERTSON DE gets his regular pilot back after coming up completely empty on the drop in class. I’ll look for a rebound effort and for him to hit the board.
