Race 1: 2 YEAR OLDS: NW 1 (FM 2) RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(6) MARKET HIGH is more than likely all systems go given the driver change. She has shown enough on the back end to hold off rivals. (7) FLORIET has improved with each start and likely has more to offer on the bigger track. (9) HEAVEN AWAITS is likely left chasing again but has shown enough trot on the end of her miles to get her in contention for a piece.

Race 2: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $11,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(5) QWISP loses most of her value because everyone saw how well she raced last week. A final quarter like that will make her very tough if she remains in the hunt at the top of the stretch. (1) FIT N FIERCE has two second place finishes in her career and both have come when she has gotten away near the front. We’ll see if the rail hinders her early on. (6) DUNDEES VICTORY was one of many fillies who were chasing a suddenly pumped-up Hot Wash. She has raced better off a helmet in recent efforts.

Race 3: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE OR $8,500 LAST 8 STARTS.

(9) CATITUDE got along nicely with McNair in his latest and can work out a trip from anywhere, assuming he doesn’t get away last. (1) OUTRUN THE ODDS absolutely crushed in his latest when unleashed on the front end. That’s an added layer of versatility for a horse that has been mainly grinding into contention. (2) CAPTAIN INCREDIBLE is a horse I’ve always liked but he hasn’t quite gotten it together this season. The qualifier was a step in the right direction.

Race 4: 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: GRASSROOTS OR PROSPECT STARTERS FOR NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: NW $28,000 LIFETIME.

This is surely the week for (1) SCORPION SEELSTER who has been pacing hard on the end of it. He needs to situate himself better before someone sneaks away again. Or, you know, just quarter move to the front and pace away… (7) PLANKTON HANOVER has been sitting on a big effort but hasn’t gotten the trip to back that up. He was better in his latest. (6) SOLAR VOLTAGE got the rail to open up for him and he picked off Stay Fresh. McNair gets the call this week and likely handles him aggressively.

Race 5: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $76,500) LIFETIME. AE: N/A $1,505 P/S IN 2026.

(7) DELIGHTFUL YANKEE posted back-to-back sharp wins before making a miscue in the Simcoe. She’s the least experienced in this field, but has the form to take these down. (8) OUT THE WINDOW got Roy’s nod and should find things a bit easier against these. He sustained a nice middle move two starts ago. (3) KAYLAS INCHARGE usually shows a nice turn of foot at the end of her miles. She should be passing rivals late and can get a piece.

Race 6: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.

No strong opinion here. (2) AK BLACK BADGER has been well back in each of her last three starts with no real chance to get into the mix. A midpack starting spot and a couple of leavers who don’t win a lot could result in a price. (3) MEILLEUR FROMAGE tried to make a second move into quick fractions, but it didn’t work. Her versatility should allow her into the mix from anywhere. (8) HEAVENS LIL DRAGON continues to piece together a quality season without many wins. I think she is an early speed type that is vulnerable again.

Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE OR NW $100 LAST 4 STARTS.

(8) HALF FAST is likely the highest price of the main contenders but has plenty of gate speed to secure herself a good trip. (3) CENTURY MONTANA paced a decent mile in her first start since late May. Look for her to step forward and be a main contender tonight. (4) CENTURY MOO is another filly with gate speed and she got around the Mohawk oval just fine four starts ago.

Race 8: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

I’ll give (4) TOTAL ACCOUNT the nod to break his maiden after chasing some tough colts in his last two. McNair should handle him aggressively tonight. (7) MOONLIT DANCER posted his best mile last week and is continuing to improve with each start. The short field gives him plenty of options. (2) POWRSTROKE PIONEER only missed by a head in his latest and could work from off a helmet this week, which he might be better at doing.

Race 9: 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: PROSPECT STARTERS.

(7) DOCS MOREAU brushed and crushed in his latest and finally broke his maiden. I’ll go right back to him tonight. (1) SAULSBROOK RODEO showed a big turn of foot on the end of his mile last week and draws a much better post. (8) COULD BE KING was better last week when grinding into contention. A similar trip could see him in the mix again tonight.

Race 10: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $26,500) LIFETIME. AE: 3 YO FM N/A $2,805 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 15 STS).

(4) EMERALD ISLAND was a strong winner in her latest and has blossomed into a decent looking trotter with minimal starts. (3) WILD ROSE HANOVER keeps Mark Macdonald for another try after being overmatched in the Simcoe. I think she could offer some value with the right trip. (2) SOUTHWIND MANHATTN was no match for Emerald Island last week. She has enough gate speed to get her into the mix early. She can hold on for a piece.
