(1) MACHO PHIL gets Macdonald back for this after making a failed first up brush in a Gold race. He should improve here and I'll give him the nod. (8) COLIGNY HANOVER comes off a very good effort where he left, yielded, took a shuffle, then came back on for 2nd. He is one of the best ones in here and he is undefeated in conditioned races to this point. He is the one to fear. (4) ROCKAWAY BAY will likely get over bet here based on his 25 2/5 kicker last time. He did no real work until late in the race and I am inclined to bet against these types. (3) MIKALOB ULTRA's good tactical speed puts him in the exotics picture tonight; using underneath.

Race 2: NW $9,200 L5 or $17,500 L10 AE: OPT CLM $25,000

(2) THE FIXER has been flashing big speed in the top class at Georgian Downs and he fits well here. He should be the one to catch. (3) ON THE ROPES get post and class relief this week and he is sure to get put into this race earlier. He's hard to leave off Pick 5 tickets. (4) BUZZ is sharp and he should get a good trip racing near the front here; using. (1) O NARUTAC PERFETTO is capable at this level but his recent form hasn’t been great. I'm inclined to use him underneath.

Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 2YO FILLIES

(6) PORTOFINO will likely go off favored here based on her sharp debut effort in the slop and I expect she will be more aggressively driven tonight; top call. (2) SILVER DIAMOND was only 1 1/4 lengths behind the choice in that race and she should be the main danger here. (7) ANGELONIA can improve if she avoids a first up trip this week. She has upset potential. (5) GALA HALO has improving form and she should take a share racing on or near the front in this field.

Race 4: Ont. Sired 2YO Fillies Grassroots Starters in 2021 that are NW $30,000 LT - Pick 4

(7) IN THE MOOD's only loss came vs. Gold company and she stands a good chance of taking her fourth win in five starts tonight. (2) POWER OF AN ANGEL fits best racing against Grassroots types and she should be a threat here racing from close range. (5) SHADOWY won one of these races two starts back and she could trip out again here; using. (3) WINX is right there every week and she races better when deploying closing tactics. She should be coming late.

Race 5: NW $12,000 L5 or $27,500 L9 or NW 6 LT

This race should come down to the two class droppers, (2) MEMO and (5) TREASURED TEE. Hot driver McNair chose the former who gets the nod here. (8) HEAVENSDOOR HANOVER is a greatly improved racehorse this year and he should be right there again this week. He can be an exotics factor. (4) ALL WRAPPED UP couldn't fish out any cover last week which led to a failed first-up attempt. He can share with a better trip tonight.

Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 2YO FILLIES - Pick 5

(5) HERSHEY SEELSTER put it all together in her last two starts and she is the one to beat here. (6) LOVIN JULIE raced decently in Gold company and she had a qualifier to sharpen up for this Grassroots try. She is the main danger. (7) CLASSIC MAGIC is a wakeup candidate here as she should improve if the track is fast. Give her a look for Exacta and Tri tickets. (3) LADIES FIRST should be in the mix here coming off a nice maiden win but I prefer to use her underneath.

Race 7: 2YO NW $7,000 LT

(4) SHIP DISTURBER paced a big mile from the 9-hole in defeat last time and he should be tough here starting from the inside. (6) THE BOSS SAID improved sharply in his second start and he will likely get more aggressive here. He is the one to fear. (2) D J SEELSTER is another that moves inside that merits a close look in his second start after pacing a good final 1/4 in his debut. (1) HEART OF DIXIE was well-beaten at 4 to 5 last time in a race where something obviously went amiss. He could rebound here at a much better price, but I’ll use him on the bottom.

Race 8: PREFERRED HANDICAP - Pick 4

(9) FORBIDDEN TRADE looked like a Maple Leaf Trot winner until very late in the mile. He should handle this group if he gets a reasonable trip starting from out there. (8) WARRAWEE ROO is racing dynamite right now and he should be the main threat. (7) PERFETTO produced a big effort to nab third in the Maple Leaf Trot and he can take a share here. (6) ONEY HALL went a long trip last week and he is racing well but he seems destined for a small share tonight.

Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 2YO FILLIES

(9) CLOCKWORK ORANGE didn't fare badly in Grand Circuit and Gold company and she should be looking to blast and lead these all the way; top call. (6) COMPLETE LIFE could land in the choice's pocket leaving and that makes her a threat tonight; using. (4) ELISABETTA raced okay first up here on 8/24. She is worth a look at a price for the exotics. (8) MONEYWORTH should pass a few of these and take a small share.

Race 10: Ont. Sired 2YO Fillies Grassroots Starters in 2021

(3) THE PRINCE is clearly fastest in here and he has shown that he can win off various trips and strategies. He should be tough to beat. (9) SWEET SOUL DAVID is on a nice roll and he has never lost with Roy driving. He should be the main threat despite drawing wide. (5) FOUR WHEELIN is capable of more than he has shown in his past two starts and from a good post he should be sent forward at the start this time. He has upset potential. (6) WALKONTHEMOON should be good for another small share in this spot; using on the bottom.

Race 11: F&M CLAIMING HANDICAP $13,000 to $18,000

(10) HALLSGLENSMAVIS has gone two big trips from the 10-hole and has fallen just short. She is sharp and just needs a bit of racing luck to get the job done. (5) DEJA VU SEELSTER will probably revert to closing tactics tonight in a race that should feature a quick opening 1/2 and that makes her a threat; using. (8) ROCKINWITHCUSTARD got the job done at a nice price here last week and she is a threat right back leaving from the same post. (9) BAYWATCHING couldn't find a hole early last week and it was game over for her. She is capable but from this post I can only use her underneath. (6) MCDELICACY is a fringe player most nights and a good one to use in the bottom of the Super and High-5.
