(1) TRIBAL DANCER will be tighter returning in seven days this time and she is clearly the one to catch and beat. (2) BONITAS BEST BET comes off a sharp effort and her good late speed stamps her as the main threat to the choice. (3) BETTERWITHGLASSES is one for one in Grassroots points races and she is in with a shot here. Expect a more aggressive Hudon steer. (6) P L RINCHENIA improved in her last start, and she is worth a look at a price for the bottom of the exotics.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4. 2YO PACING COLTS AND GELDINGS

(9) MCWICKED TIME fits much better in Grassroots company. He will likely get sent right down the road by Cullen. I liked the second 1/2 move that (7) DAB OCOLOR made at Grand River and could see him springing an upset tonight; using. (5) BE RIGHT THERE gets first time J Mac here and he shows a race on 7/21 that indicates he can go with these; beware. (4) FIREARM raced okay last week and didn't give up the lead until very late in the mile. Returning quicker now he should be in the exotics mix.

Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4. 2YO PACING FILLIES

(6) WICKEDWOMAN DE VIE had a good debut race and she appears in the Grassroots in leg 4 so the pressure will be on to get maximum points immediately; top call. (8) CONTROL THE FIRE is the obvious threat coming off a two-move win here on 8/15. She should be the main danger. (7) WE MEET AGAIN is around the money every start and she comes off a tough trip where she hung around for a slice; exotics factor. (2) TOO EASY is another good one to use underneath in this spot.

Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4. 2YO PACING COLTS AND GELDINGS - Pick 4

(8) T H MCMURRY drops into Grassroots here to face much easier and he should wake up in this spot. (7) MAX PATRICK comes off a strong effort where he was totally up against it racing first up into an accelerating late pace. He gets McNair now and he is worth a long look for multi-race tickets. (2) UNRIVALED HANOVER was never getting caught after Drury got him down the 1/2 in a minute at Grand River. He has done nothing wrong to this point of his career and he should get a good share here. (3) BRINGITONHOMETOME gets J Mac back here and he can sneak into the exotics.

Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4. 2YO PACING FILLIES

(5) ONE MORE BET impressed breaking her maiden here last week and she should be tough to beat in here. (4) IDYLLIC DELIGHT was given a perfect steer by A Mac to score the upset and she can be an Exacta factor again, probably racing in the choice's pocket. (8) GREATEST PLEASURE, 3rd to the choice last week, is hurt by the draw tonight but she can take a slice. (6) CHEESE PARTY drops out of Golds for this. She's in the exotics mix.

Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4. 2YO PACING COLTS AND GELDINGS - Pick 5

(7) GOOD OMEN's local debut was good, and he should offer a square price in here. I'll give him the nod in a tough race. (3) STONEBRIDGE THRILL is likely to show improvement in this second start for Beaton; price look for multi-race tickets. (4) WICKED PRINCE broke his maiden with a sharp effort at Grand River, but he had rail advantage that day. He is an obvious contender, but I wonder if he will be an underlay tonight. (2) SPORTS ACTIVATOR gets back on the big track, and he is another that could do in a race with several options.

Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4. 2YO PACING FILLIES

(5) SORCHA SEELSTER motored home in her debut and that should set her up nicely for this first Grassroots start. I expect a more aggressive steer from McClure in this spot. (8) MAKE OUT WITH ME improved immediately with Macdonald in the bike and she should be rolling late again; using. (4) PASTA DELIGHT raced well first time McNair drove and she is another contender here in a field that she will likely find easier. (1) DEFININGTHE MOMENT will likely pass a few of these late to land in the Tri or Super.

Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4. 2YO PACING COLTS AND GELDINGS

(3) LIKE A GLOVE impressed circling the field in his local debut at Grand River and he gets the call to repeat off that sharp effort. (7) SINATRA HANOVER also impressed winning on that same day and he will likely get position on the choice early in this mile. He's hard to leave off multi-race tickets. (6) GREAT BET draws best, and he should continue his streak of not missing the board yet. (1) YOUR PARTY should get a good following trip here and round out the Tri or Super.

Race 9: PREFERRED 2 - Pick 4

(7) PEMBERTON comes off a remarkable winning effort where he dropped back to last at the start, pulled before the 1/2, found no cover, then just passed them all anyway. The trainer is in the bike here so his price should be decent; top call. (5) WARRAWEE XENIA is 0 for 2023 but her recent form is decent, and she fits well here; using. (3) ADARE CASTLE blew up before the start in the Earle Rowe and she will be a threat here if she stays flat. (1) HP MAMA B can get position using her gate speed and ride a trip to a share.

Race 10: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4. 2YO PACING COLTS AND GELDINGS

(3) STOPWATCH gets McNair back and he raced best for him in July. I'll shoot for a price with him in a wide-open race. (5) SOUTHWIND CIRCUIT raced better in his second start, and he gets a key driver change to Roy. He would be no surprise here. (6) D A MCDREAMY got a good steer from Drury, and he jogged. He is another in with a shot here. (1) PIRATES SHADOW tripped out to get a share on Tuesday and he should be part of the exotics here.

Race 11: NW $15,000 in 2023

(8) FOREFATHER paced a sub-54 back 1/2 against better than these and he should be tough in here. I expect Borth to provide a more aggressive drive this time. (7) GRAND POOBAH flashed his typical gate speed and finished slightly ahead of the choice, but he had a better trip that night. He can be an Exacta factor here. (3) BETTORBEFLYIN raced better, and he keeps Macdonald tonight. He is another in with a shot here. (2) HES SWIFT will likely fire out to get position this time and land in the Tri or Super.

Race 12: NW $8,300 L5 or $13,500 L10 AE: OPT CLM $45,000 AE: NW $4,000 in 2023

(1) HESINCONTROL races best for McNair and he gets him back in the bike tonight. An aggressive try is very likely here. (2) NAUTICAL HANOVER was great earlier in the season which forced him into the top classes facing the best aged pacers. He would be no surprise in this spot on the class drop. (4) SOMETIME SOMEWHERE is another dropper that should improve here but I prefer to use him underneath. (9) THATLL BE SPORTY's first start of the year was very good, but these are much tougher; small share predicted. (8) ROCK AND TWIST rarely misses a check. He should be part of the High-5.
