(5) DR JOE was showing improvement and last week he was finally put into the race early and he took care of the rest. He’s in peak form now and he gets the call to repeat. (8) SWEET DEISEL raced much better, but he lost the battle to the choice. His potent gate speed makes him a player right back; using. (6) FOREFATHER produced a good closing kick to get 3rd behind the top two and he is another in with a shot here. (3) BAD EYE BILL threw in a bit of a clunker last week as the chalk. He is hard to dismiss considering his barn’s win percentage, but I prefer to use him underneath tonight.

Race 2: NW $25,000 L5

(6) PEMBERTON raced great last week considering he was coming off a lame scratch and had a stale date. He is the one to beat here. (5) PRETENDER is classy and fast enough to beat these, but he missed some time, and he was used extremely hard in the opening 1/2 of the Vincennes then stopped. He can get over bet here and I don’t want him as the favorite. (2) NASEY comes off a good try and he will likely stay covered up then rally again; using underneath. Hard trying (3) RICKY RESOLVE will likely come on late and take another small share.

Race 3: NW $4,850 L5 AE: Starters for a purse of $15,000 or less last start

(5) ROCKME ROLLME draws perfectly, and he gets J Mac back tonight. Those two have teamed up for nine wins together and this gelding should be the one to catch here. (1) CODE CRACKER was a good 2nd to better two starts back here and he should be the main threat tonight; using. (6) SAUBLE ACE was on a roll before he met Pacino Hanover et al in the top class at Georgian Downs. He is another to consider for the early Pick 5. (3) BET THE BB finished with pace last week and I think he closes for a small share tonight.

Race 4: NW $4,000 L5 AE: OPT CLM $25,000 AE: N/A $1,685 P/S in 2023/24 AE: NW $19,750 in 2024 - Pick 4

(4) PHEONIX is sharp, and he drops and moves inside here. I’ll give him a slight nod in a wide-open race. (7) PIKACHU HANOVER qualified well against Osceola, and he typically races at higher levels than these. He should fire well fresh here; using. (5) ALL GAS NO BRAKES broke while making a move for the front last week. He is in the mix here and he should be right there vs. these if he stays flat. (6) STORM TROTTER is in great form, and he should be part of the Tri or Super.

Race 5: CLM HDCP $14,000 to $18,000

(6) MACH IMPACT improved two starts back then last week he finished with pace last week, but he got completely shut off halfway down the lane; call to upset starting from the best post tonight. (1) HERESTHATMANAGAIN was the first and last leader last week and he was clearly pulling away from his rivals late after blasting through between horses. He’s the one to beat. (2) BIG MACH N exits some fast miles racing off the Merner claim here, and he can be a speed threat in this spot; using. (9) BROOKDALE SEB got claimed but he keeps Macdonald in the bike. He is sharp but I prefer to use him underneath starting from a wide post tonight.

Race 6: NW $14,500 L5 - Pick 5

(5) NEW RULES woke up in a big way in his fifth start for Menary last week and I’ll stick with him here. (7) HP MAMA B gets back to a seven-day rotation after missing three weeks prior to her last start and she could lead all the way this week; using. (3) ALL WRAPPED UP is sharp, but Roy stuck with HP Mama B over him. He will likely close for another share here. (1) LOCATELLI got a great setup last week, but the winner was too good. He likely closes to take another slice here.

Race 7: Horses that have started for a purse of $9,000 or less in 1 of L3 AE: NW $100 L3 - Pick 4

(3) MUSIC TO MY GEARS raced well in defeat last week and he figures to get a setup with quick leavers lined up on the outside of the gate; price play. (9) ARTIES IDEAL is razor sharp and Macdonald sticks with him over others. He should get position leaving the gate and he has a good chance to repeat. (6) LETS GET PICKLED was an impressive winner twice racing on the Maritimes and he is worth a look at what should be a big price here. (5) RESPECT OUR FLAG is sharp right now and he should be part of the exotics again.

Race 8: POP UP SERIES CONSOLATION

I think (6) EPIC DREAMER can go right down the road in this consolation if he stays flat and Jones probably won’t be shy to send him; top call. (7) TALISMANO got hung the mile last week and he is another that will likely be blasting for position here. I could see these two battling down the lane for the win. (4) PRINCE OF SUSSEX is a morning line favorite that I don’t love and must try to beat, but he should be part of the exotics in this field. (2) ER NORMA gets Roy in the bike tonight and that teamster has driven her to two of her four 2024 wins; price look for the exotics.

Race 9: NW $9,100 L5 AE: OPT CLM $50,000 A/E N/A $2,105 P/S in 2023/24

(2) QUEBEC HANOVER crushed and took a new life’s mark last week and he will be tough to beat here if he behaves. (3) SERENITY CRUISE drops off a good effort and she can be an Exacta factor in this spot racing from close range. (4) SHADRACK HANOVER was no match for the choice last week and he likely gets another slice tonight. (8) KEVIN ANTHONY likely closes from the back again and rounds out the Tri or Super.

Race 10: POP UP SERIES FINAL

(2) MACALLAN has been dominant in the preliminary legs, and he is the one to beat in this final. (6) MYSTIC draws best here, and he will likely workout a good trip racing near the front. He is the other one that I’ll use on late multi-race tickets. (5) VILLEFRANCHE AS, 2nd to the choice last week should get another good trip here and take a good share. (3) DELCREST BRENT took advantage of a slowing late pace to win last week. I think he closes for a small share this time. (7) LINDYS IRISHCREAM couldn’t seal the deal as the odds-on favorite now she is in tougher; small share predicted.
