(6) SHINY NEW PENNY got a perfect tightener in last Tuesday racing over a wet track. I think she goes right down the road tonight starting from the best post. (1) PRETTY SPECIAL failed as the even money chalk in her first start back but she may have needed that race. She can be an Exacta factor here. (10) LUCY WHO gets Filion back coming off her first win of the year, but the 10-hole is very tough for a trotter on this track. I'll use her underneath. (9) NORTHERN DEMI closed nicely last time, and she can get another slice in this spot.

Race 2: 2YO fillies NW1 or $5,000 LT

(6) SCRIVENER HANOVER fires back in five days after taking a patient approach and closing well late last Tuesday. I'll give her a slight nod in a race with a few live options. (4) STONEBRIDGE HALO made a break trying to stay with two good fillies that were pacing a 26 2/5 kicker in the Whenuwishuponastar final. She will have a big shot to graduate here if she stays flat. (7) ALWAYS A CATCH flew late in her debut now she should be more aggressive in this second start. She is another in with a shot. (3) PASTA DELIGHT has been in the mix in every start, and she is a good one to use in the exotics.

Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4: 3YO TROTTING FILLIES

(6) NORTHERN CHARLOTTE was passively driven from the widest post as the chalk last week, no doubt with an eye on this points race six days later. She will look to boss this field on the engine and likely will. (9) SOUTHWIND CHARDNAY raced better in the slop last week and I'll look to add some value to the Exacta with her starting from the widest post. (4) ITS YOUR CHOICE had a perfect trip last time, but she couldn't go with the choice late. I'll use her underneath here. (1) LASTKICKATHECAN should sit a good trip and land in the exotics again.

Race 4: NW $1,800 L3 - Pick 4

(8) WOODMERE FENN drops to the bottom conditioned level and gets a slightly better post and Jones back in the bike. I would be surprised if he didn't get more aggressive in this spot. (5) LYONS KING raced well last week considering he had missed a month between starts. He should be the main threat here. (6) SIP OF BOURBON is another dropper that should be heard from tonight, but I prefer to use him underneath. (1) BETTOR HALF can sit another following trip and land in the bottom of the exotics.

Race 5: 5YO and younger winners of 2 (F&M3) but not more than 4 (F&M5) or $45,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO OPT CLM $50,000

(6) INTERNATIONAL MAN qualified well for this, and he gets the leading driver. He should handle these if he behaves. (1) CHAKE ships in and faces easier moving to Auciello’s barn and he should be the main threat. (2) EDEN ONTHEHILL raced okay at this level last time and he is worth using at a price. (4) DYLADMAR closed well late in the mile in his local debut, and he is another in with a shot here.

Race 6: CLM HDCP $12,000 to $16,000 - Pick 5

(7) BETTOR NOTBITTER A is right there every week at this level and a fourpeat is likely here. (1) PROCRASTINATOR moves to Barrington which makes sharp improvement possible if not likely; using. (9) BAD EYE BILL was a good 2nd to the choice last week but he draws worst now; small share predicted. (2) MILITARY SECRET should go better here after getting hung the mile last week.

Race 7: NW $15,000 L5 - Pick 4

(8) OKEANOS got a better trip last week and he took a new life's mark as a result. He is sharp as a tack, and he gets the call to repeat. (7) DEALIN WITH DEWEY can be a speed threat here on the class drop making his second start back off a vet scratch; using. (4) WHITE TIGER has made $445K because he always comes to play. He is in the exotics mix again. (1) GIGONDAS fits better here, and I can see him tripping out and taking a share.

Race 8: 2YO Grassroots starters in 2023

(4) GREATEST PLEASURE wasn’t disgraced in the Battle of the Belles now she is back in Grassroots where she is 1 for 1. She has a big shot here. (1) TRIBAL DANCER is on a roll, and she picks up Macdonald. She is an obvious threat. (6) PRETTY MISSY MAY got a nice trip to break her maiden and her good tactical speed can get her a share here. (5) ONE MORE BET will be passing some of these late. She is in the exotics mix.

Race 9: Horses that have started for a purse of $15K or less in 1 of L4 AE: NW $5,500 L6

(2) MACALLAN fits better in this spot, and he could make a middle move and control this race. (3) RICKY RESOLVE grinded first up a long way and kept coming. His late speed makes him a threat. (4) JACK FIRE was one of two upsetters for the Hensley barn last Monday and he is sharp and in with a chance here. (9) BUCK DANCER bottomed out the field in a sharp effort. He is another in with a chance in a race that has no standout.

Race 10: NW $4,000 L5 AE: Starters for a purse of $10,500 L4

(1) SINTRA takes a big drop, and he gets J Mac tonight. He is the one to beat here. (2) HES SWIFT raced great in defeat from the 10-hole last week. He could win here with a slightly easier trip. (6) IDEAL PERCEPTION has been racing great at Grand River. He is sharp and dangerous. (7) LETS TIE ONE ON will be passing horses late and if the race falls apart, he can pass them all. He is another in with a shot. (5) GRAND POOBAH tripped out to win last week. He isn't known for stringing wins together, using underneath.
