Best Bets: 53/120 (-$33.90); Spot Plays: 29/123 (-$69.70)
Best Bet: ALPHA BLUE CHIP (Race 1)
Spot Play: BETTORS MYSTERY (Race 7)
Early Pick-5: 3/2,5,6/4/3,10/3,6 $2.40
Late Pick-5: 3,4/2,6/3,5/7/3,4 $3.20
Race 1: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,500 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(3) ALPHA BLUE CHIP looks ready to go after a single decent qualifier behind Exactly. I expect him to show more tonight. (4) SATU WANIA was a strong second in her latest and is likely to be forwardly placed again. That should carry her a long way. (7) STORMONT FAST BOY comes out of the same qualifier as Alpha Blue Chip and is more of an unknown considering the lone career start.

Race 2: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(5) MARKET HIGH was progressing nicely heading into the Pure Ivory but an early miscue spoiled her chances. I think she gets the job done. (2) SWINGINGCHANDELIER was no match for the Pure Ivory foes but finds a softer spot here. Expect a better effort. (6) TIT FOR TAT was a strong second two starts ago and should benefit from getting away from the rail given her issues staying flat.
Race 3: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(4) HOLLYWOOD ENDING crushed her foes last week and now debuts for top connections in her first Mohawk start. Expecting big things. (1) BODY ISLAND is progressing nicely and should show more around the bigger track. (3) WATCHMEPARTY gets away from Gold fillies and showcased decent speed two starts ago. She can hang around for a piece.
Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $27,500 (OS $32,500) LIFETIME. AE: N/A $985 P/S IN 2026.
(10) SISTER SCARLETT took a huge step forward last week and pulled off the upset. The wide draw shouldn’t hurt if she trots a back half like that again. (3) BITOFTHEBUBBLY should be in much better shape against these. The miles he has been trotting could easily be best here. (5) SAPPHIRE STEVE was somehow bet to the favorite’s role last week and had finished a fine third. I would expect early speed again from this post.
Race 5: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 5) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $68,500) LIFETIME.
(3) ILL HAVE THE RED tried the front for the first time in a while and it was going well until the final few strides. Another forward trip should see her in the mix again. (6) SHIMMERING HANOVER still won last week despite a conservative early steer and slight drift in the stretch. She’s the one to beat on paper. (5) KAYLAS INCHARGE usually showcases a solid turn of foot in the back half but will need the outside flow to really be moving to tow her into contention.
Race 6: POP UP SERIES: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (MUST RACE IN 2 LEGS TO BE ELIGIBLE TO FINAL). LEG 2.
(3) EARLY PLAY just missed last week after having to wait for room and then racing between horses. Hard to ignore that effort. (4) ON TIME DELIVERY should be stronger second back and should show a little more gate speed tonight. (2) BETTORS RUSH races off the claim after a wire to wire win. He should hang with this group.
Race 7: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,500 OR LESS 3 RACES) OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. AE: 3 YO N/A $1,075 P/S IN 2026.
(6) BETTORS MYSTERY is a bit of a mystery with the lone qualifier but he debuted with plenty of speed. I’ll take a chance with him this week. (2) YOURASTRANGEANIMAL wound up on the lead from the second tier in his latest but the pace was far too quick. He has high speed but trouble sustaining it. (1) ALDREZD FOR COURT was much better last week when tracking Vela Luka, but can he repeat it? I’m not so sure.
Race 8: POP UP SERIES: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (MUST RACE IN 2 LEGS TO BE ELIGIBLE TO FINAL). LEG 2.
(5) DOCS ROCK wound up first over and had to settle for an underneath finish. I think he winds up on the lead or in the pocket tonight which should help. (3) DRAGONS BETTER just missed in leg one after a big back half. I don’t think he’ll be racing from that far off the pace tonight. (2) BLAST OF SUNSHINE is a consistent check getter who grinds his way into contention. I’ll look for more of the same tonight.

Race 9: CLAIMING HANDICAP $30,000 TO $40,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE & SEX. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000.
(7) PREMIER FIRST STAR likely looks to drop and pop with a speed try in a shorter field. (2) DOWS UP got pushed three wide when making his move which kind of stymied any chance he had for a piece. I still think he looms at a price this week. (6) STICKEMINLETHIMGO was stuck chasing Wannabeabigstar who finally got an aggressive steer and crushed. He’ll likely be chasing from up close again.
Race 10: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $10,750 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $1,075 P/S IN 2025-26.
(3) WILLOWTIME takes a class drop that is too big to ignore. He’s likely driven like the best horse in the race. (4) CASTEL LINDY is second back after a strong second at Georgian. He could be ready to make some noise in his Mohawk return. (6) SHESAMANALISHI was parked for the mile in her latest. Pitch that line. She is likely to look for a live helmet this week and close for a piece.
