Race 1: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
(5) ALL OUT MARILYN got the trip in her Grassroots debut, but she showed sharp late speed to get the job done when the opportunity presented itself. She gets the call to repeat. (2) C KAN TROT made two moves in defeat in a good effort, and she should be the main threat tonight. (10) TEQUILA SUNSET will likely look for a helmet to follow this time after tiring on the lead last time and she can take a share. $49K London Classic purchase (6) CLEVELAND MISSKA is worth a look for the bottom of the exotics on debut.

Race 2: NW $14,000 L5 or $26,000 L8 AE: NW9 LT or NW $15,000 in 2023
If (2) ESPLOSIONE races back to his mile three starts back when he beat similar that he meets here in 1:51 4/5, his rivals will likely be racing for 2nd. (4) DEALIN WITH DEWEY drops and he is another that is very capable at this level; using. (6) TRUFFLES TOO draws best but he moves back up and I'll use him underneath at this level. (9) SPARTAN GENERAL will likely close from the back and make it into the exotics.

Race 3: CLM HDCP $12,000 to $18,000
(4) BETTOR NOTBITTER A is right there every week, and he is the one to beat again. (8) MERCENARY dropped, was claimed and just failed to hold off the choice. He should be the main threat again. (7) DOC HOUSTON drops, and he figures to improve enough to take a share in this spot. (3) ARTISTIC PICK popped pocket and took a shot at Mercenary last week, but he couldn't get past. He will likely be a fringe player here.
Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES - Pick 4
(8) RHYTHM OF LIFE looks best here following a good debut where she just failed to convert while trotting a 28-flat kicker; top call. (9) NAUTILUS B gets off the rail after taking action in a Gold race on debut. If she stays flat, she can be a threat at a price. (6) DAMSEL SEELSTER seems sure-gaited, and she will be passing horses late. She in another possibility here. (7) BIRTHDAY MONEY loses J Mac for Ratchford after winning her debut and I have to play to beat her mainly based on that change.
Race 5: NW $8,000 L5 AE: OPT CLM $45,000
This is a good spot for (8) GIGONDAS, and McNair will send him on the class drop. He should get a good trip racing on or near the lead. (10) ONEY HALL is the other dropper, and he too should be blasting despite drawing widest. Not many trotters win from post 10 here, but he is a must-use for me on the big class drop. (1) ALL WRAPPED UP should rally for a share at this level. (3) KAMERAN HANOVER is in solid form, and he is another that can close for a share in this spot.
Race 6: NW $4,000 L5 or $9,850 L10 AE: Starters for a purse of $8,000 or less L3 - Pick 5
(8) HUNTER HILL has been facing tougher recently and he is one I have to back here, mainly because his 10 to 1 morning line can provide value in the multis. (7) LETS TIE ONE ON paced to a fast win at Grand River only to be set back due to a pylon violation. He is a threat to lead all the way. (1) MASONS DELIGHT N drops after getting a local start in. It would be no surprise if he improved enough to win here on the class drop. (3) TORONTO is another dropper in here and he pass many of these and land in the exotics.
Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES - Pick 4
(9) TEA LAKE was solid in defeat in her Grassroots debut, and she looks best here; top call. (6) MUSCLE CHARM made a couple of moves then tired on debut. I can see McNair getting her an easier trip and picking off the choice late in the mile; using. (1) SUE ANNE is the only undefeated filly in here and she is hard to leave after winning her debut in a Grassroots race. (7) KARENS DREAM should be good for another slice in this spot.
Race 8: NW $4,000 L5 or $9,850 L10 AE: Starters for a purse of $8,000 or less L3
(5) BAYFIELD BEACH was game last week but the pocket sitter couldn’t be denied in the end. He should have a big shot here. (1) OUTLAW ACEOFSPADES was right there a neck behind the choice in a good effort and he figures to be the main threat here. (4) DR JOE’s big late kick should play better on the class drop here and he could pass them all; using. (2) GRAND POOBAH is worth using in the exotics on the class drop tonight.

Race 9: PREFERRED 2
(1) PATRIARCH HANOVER has a recency edge over the rival that beat him last time, (7) TOKYO SEELSTER, and I'll give him the nod to turn the tables. The latter trotted a storm to win at 20 to 1 last time and he should be a threat right back. (4) PERFETTO comes off an improved effort and this class is well within his range when he is on his game. He is another in with a shot here. (5) ADARE CASTLE should be part of the exotics again.
Race 10: CLM HDCP $25,000 to $35,000
(5) QUAN BLUE CHIP hinted that he is sitting on a big race when he closed in 53 2/5 last week and his big kick should play well in this field. (6) UNIQUE BEACH gets first time McNair while dropping into a claimer and he should be heard from tonight. (10) I AMA ROCKET tried first up last week, and it didn’t work out. Speed blast coming now? (1) JM JACK OF HEARTS is in good form, and he can rally for a share from his inside post. (3) SKYLAR wasn't claimed last week for the first time in 13 races, and he seems to have lost the sharpness he had for several weeks in a row. I see him as a fringe player tonight.
