Early Pick-5: 3,10/2,4/2,6/4,5/4 $3.20
Middle Pick-5: 9/5,7/2,6/1,4/2,6,7 $4.80
Late Pick-5: 1,4/2,6,7/7,8/6/1,4 $4.80
Race 1: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,500 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(3) SEVERIAN looks like a colt that could take a big jump given his qualifier and faces a couple of fillies in between stakes tries. (10) M E LAUREL nearly pulled off a big upset in the last Gold but likely won’t be firing too hard from the high draw. Her and (9) SATU WANIA could be susceptible if they aren’t on their game. She has been in the mix in the past.

Race 2: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(4) BEAUTS CABARET looked professional in her second qualifier when drawing away from her rivals and holding that advantage. I’ll give her the nod. (2) MARKET HIGH has a race under her belt and trotted home nicely in that effort. Watch out if she keeps progressing. (1) DATAPRIVACY is a logical debut prospect for top connections. She navigated the rail nicely in her second morning prep.
Race 3: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $7,000 LAST 4 STARTS. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(2) MEILLEUR FROMAGE adds Lasix after a decent effort first off the claim. She finds a slightly easier group tonight in my opinion. (6) FIRE SHINE comes out of that same race and is a nice grinder who should be in the mix turning for home. (8) MISSY ROCKS used a nice back half to get a piece and could benefit if the race falls apart.
Race 4: FILLIES & MARES NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $40,500) LIFETIME. AE: N/A $900 P/S IN 2026.
(4) COURTNEYS PROMISE was an upset winner in her first start on Lasix and is in sharp form. I can see her repeating. (5) BARBARA MAY was a good second three starts ago at this level. She should appreciate getting away from Bingo Night and Blue Jean Gal. (1) JUST BUSINESS was an okay fifth off a scratch. If she gets away closer, she can close for a piece.
Race 5: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 5) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $67,500) LIFETIME.
(4) CAPTAIN NATHAN was vicious in his latest. A similar effort should see him right back in the winner’s circle. (8) ONE BELLE was first over against a sharp Maize And Blue. An easier trip could see her produce a better result. (1) STORYBOOK LOVE is second back at Mohawk after a clear prep from an outside post. She may not get away the quickest from the rail, but will likely be better tonight.
Race 6: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(9) TREACHEROUS NOVA raced extremely well on debut and gave the leader all she had when first over. Hard to overlook an effort like that. (4) BANKROLL HANOVER nearly tracked down the leader in her lone morning prep and was moving nicely when doing so. A logical debut prospect for top connections. (1) THELEGACYOFVENUS is continuing to progress and paced a decent mile in an overflow field. She can get a piece.
Race 7: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS STARTERS FOR NW $15,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: PROSPECT STARTERS.
(7) TIMELESS has early speed but we haven’t seen it at Mohawk of late. Tonight would be a good time to use it. These Grassroots starters races are going for some decent money. (5) INTEL QUEEN finds an easier field tonight and could show off some early speed with her good draw. (9) PRESS ON BALLYKEEL has to maneuver an outside post but her form has been okay. I’ll use her underneath.
Race 8: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $42,500) LIFETIME.
(2) JIMS FIRST DATE gets a pass for last week where he clearly wasn’t at his best. He was in excellent form prior to that. (6) DR DAVE found a new dimension last week when given the green light on the front. This could unlock more for him. (8) MAJOR MIKI is second back but will likely be racing from the back again. He could kick home for a piece.
Race 9: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS STARTERS.
(4) BELLA CHICA has been campaigned very well this year and has picked the right spots. I think her win streak continues. (1) ELBOWS UP comes off a sharp win at Hanover and we know what she is capable of when at her best. (2) RARE LEGACY set a lifetime best two back and will likely be looking to get away quickly and secure a good trip.
Race 10: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 OR $27,500 LIFETIME. AE: N/A $785 P/S IN 2026.
(2) MASSBAR is second back after an obvious tightener where she kicked home strongly. I think she steps forward in a big way. (6) BUBBLE UP was out of position last week but still managed to get a check. He will need to be closer this week. (7) SAPPHIRE STEVE gets an interesting driver change which could unlock more. Mark Macdonald could fit him nicely.
Race 11: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).
(7) YANKEE SCOUT sustained a solid middle move in his second career start and looks like he is progressing nicely. I’ll give him the nod in an open race. (8) CATTLETRACKS raced well from an outside post on debut and sprinted well despite losing the lead. Does he blast again? (4) THE SWOOPER may look for an off-the-place trip this week given the early speed that might be shown. That could benefit him the most.

Race 12: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).
(6) TH THEO got shuffled last week which took him out of contention. He finds an easier group tonight and should try to get out of traffic trouble. (5) NEVER AGAIN had no answer after the favorite cleared and faded back to fifth. He could look for a live helmet to follow tonight. (7) MARK THE MECHANIC is progressing nicely and could be ready to step up and get a piece.
Race 13: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).
(4) ODDS ON HOAXSTER looks like a promising colt from Indiana. We’ll see what he has to offer on debut. (1) C SCRIPT drew away from his competition after moving to the front. He looks like the colt to beat on paper. (3) CHEDDARLUCKNXTTIME was a good second behind C Script and is likely to keep progressing for top connections.
