Race 1: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(1) BULLDOG BELLE produced a type of qualifier that usually allows horses to move forward. I expect her to show us more on debut. (6) LADY ROZ took back against some tough provincial fillies and was never involved. I think she’ll be more involved tonight. (5) ISLAND GIRL flashed some potential on debut and is continuing to improve. She should be in the mix.

Race 2: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS STARTERS FOR NW $15,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: PROSPECT STARTERS.
(4) EFFECTIVE CONTROL was pacing as well as anyone in the stretch of her debut. She should be able to build on that if properly positioned. (6) DIAMONDSBESTFRIEND was first over in that same race but was just one paced once she made that move. She is progressing, at least. (7) MY BETS ON BOB could fit against the top two but will need to keep improving. She will need a great trip to beat them in my opinion.
Race 3: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(5) JAZZVILLE held off her rivals after she pulled the pocket and quickly dispatched the favorite. She is sharp right now. (6) ACEFORTYFOUR DAISY was widest of all in the stretch of that race and finished a good second. She has been using her late kick to great success. (7) MISSY ROCKS is a versatile mare that should be grinding into contention no matter where she gets away.
Race 4: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,500 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(8) VELA LUKA tried to make a second move from the pocket in his career debut, but you knew right away that he wasn’t sustaining it. I’ll try him again. (2) OVER BET gets a big post switch and has been peppering the board. He should take some air on the outside and get a good piece. (7) BEACH KEEPERS will likely leave again but I’m not sure he can dig in and hold off horses yet. He could show me tonight.
Race 5: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 4) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $25,000) LIFETIME.
(6) YANKEE BOOST went a big mile in defeat from post ten last week. If that didn’t take too much out of him, he should be good to rebound tonight. (9) BUBBLE UP was a measured winner in the second start of his three-year-old season. It appears he has more in the tank. (1) TRINITYS DIAMOND will likely look for a conservative trip and for her late kick to carry her to a piece.
Race 6: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $8,750 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. AE: N/A $1,230 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 10 STS). AE: NW $4,500 IN 2026.
(7) PATRIARCH HANOVER gets a steep drop in class and is likely to be aggressively handled with Mark Mac picking up the catch drive. (9) STABLE GENIUS was good enough in his first start back but you could clearly tell where his ceiling was late in that mile. Is he better tonight? Probably, but now he has post nine to deal with. (5) SPRITE SEELSTER is another who should benefit from a drop if she can work out a trip. She has been facing some salty males.
Race 7: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(7) NORTHERN SONG was liked by many last week but was out of position against other decent fillies. She faces much easier company this week. (1) APPERTINO was more visually impressive in qualifier two and looks to make an impact right away. (5) DEWENITFORTHEMONI looked like she would finish a good third on debut but made a miscue late in the mile. If she minds her manners, she should be in the mix.
Race 8: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER NW $15,000 (ON SIRED $20,500) LIFETIME.
(5) GOIN FOR BROKE is third back after two efforts that really should have him tight. It’s just a matter of trip this week, and I think he’ll be forwardly placed. (1) LOU WHO got a great steer last week from up close and pulled off a big upset. He was racing okay previously but is now even better. (6) SOLAR VOLTAGE spoiled his chances last week with an early miscue. He fits much better at this level and should do okay if he minds his manners.

Race 9: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(7) THE DARK PANTHER raced really well last week given he had to move wide when a horse broke, and was still moving forward late. He races off the claim and could provide a big effort tonight. (2) SPINDOCTOR HANOVER lost his cover when Blast Of Sunshine cleared but still grinded into contention and finished a good second. His three starts since returning have all been good. (8) SMOKESTACK was pressured early but still cleared and found a lane up the inside to get the job done. He might have a tougher go from the outside, however.
Race 10: NW $6,250 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $15,750 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000.
(8) PERFETTO drops back to the level where he won three back. Counting on him to get an aggressive steer and pull off an upset. (9) TACTICAL STRIKE was a good second behind Amigo Volo last week and is likely to be forwardly placed as well. (3) MISTER MAGIC made a miscue last week and was unable to convert at the level above this. The effort he provided two back would make him a big factor if repeated.
