Race 1: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES.
(4) WHOOPDEDOO HANOVER is 2-for-2 in the mornings and looks like she contains the speed necessary to win on debut. (3) COLD BREEZE looks like a filly with a chance to improve if she doesn’t have to make two moves. I highly doubt that happens. (2) DEWENITFORTHEMONI has performed nicely with two different trips. She could easily be ready to go tonight.

Race 2: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES.
(5) SILK LACE is one of two fillies with racing experience. She produced a quality second on debut and looks to improve on that tonight. (7) PA LILA is another Cattlewash filly who looked good in the morning. She qualified behind a sharp one in her second outing, and Charolais Cattle was good in her debut. (1) ROCKIN JADE DEO is improving for top connections and could be ready to show more in her first outing.
Race 3: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(2) BLAST OF SUNSHINE was a sharp winner in his latest. Plante has done a good job of giving him chances in both recent efforts. (1) SPINDOCTOR HANOVER had to settle for second behind that rival but produced a good mile second back. He is progressing nicely. (6) SMOKESTACK has been unable to build on his win from four back but has been consistent. I’ll use him underneath.
Race 4: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS.
(4) FREE AGENT looks like a promising colt for Team Macintosh based on his performances in the morning. Look for him to show us more on debut. (7) WHISKEY STINGER got a look at Free Agent in his first qualifier and paced just as well in the stretch. He did the same next time out, but was positioned on the front. I like that he has gone two different trips. (10) JUST KEEP FLYING made an early miscue on debut but paced a decent back half despite that. I can see him making an impact down the road.
Race 5: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(8) BEACH KEEPERS gets Roy’s nod when dropping back to overnight company. He should have the speed on both ends to leave out and keep going. (1) ALCHEMY HANOVER produced a solid final quarter in a debut that could lead to more. The post switch gives him a better chance. (2) P L TACO showed more punch last week in his first start for the new connections. A similar effort should have him in line for at least a piece.
Race 6: 2 YEAR OLDS.
(3) ERINWOOD TRITON looked the part in his second qualifier when opening up early and sustaining that all the way to the wire. A :58 and change back half should be tough to catch here. (5) CLARKY is another out of the first crop of King Of The North who looks to have some potential. He was moving well in the late stages of his lone action. (1) WOLF OF WALLSTREET is one of two with parimutuel experience, but he broke at the start. A tepid beginning from the rail could be in the cards.
Race 7: NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $6,250 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: NW $13,500 IN 2026 (MIN 8 STARTS).
(6) MAGICAL ARTHUR could be in for a form-reversing Mark Mac speed try when dropping to the bottom level. I think he goes off at an okay number. (1) CONVOY TWENTY TWO is still having an okay season despite last week being his best in a while. He tends to get mired in mid pack trips that he can’t sustain, but that could change against these. (3) SHOTGUN JERRY wasn’t going to make a significant outside move from where he was. He was closer two back and got a piece.
Race 8: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS STARTERS FOR NW $16,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: PROSPECT STARTERS.
(5) HP IMAGINE looks like an improving filly who raced well in her Grassroots try last week. Look for her to post a winning effort. (6) RARE LEGACY has been second in both Grassroots tries and has enough tactical speed to get her a stalking spot without using too much. (9) PRESS ON BALLYKEEL is likely to rally from the back, but she has a decent middle move that could get her into the race.

Race 9: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, WINNERS OF 3 (FM 4) BUT NOT MORE THAN 5 (FM 6) OR $80,000 (OS $100,000) LIFETIME.
(5) EXACTLY rolled in his latest and will probably get to the lead without incident again. That might spell the end for the rest of this group. (6) SEISMIC STEP raced well in his first start back and is likely to improve on a regular rotation. (7) EUROBANK HANOVER took some air last week when making two moves. He wasn’t released by the leader and got stuck outside. A better trip can see him right there.
Race 10: 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: GRASSROOTS STARTERS FOR NW $14,500 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: PROSPECT STARTERS.
(2) BARRACUDA HANOVER looks ready to put it all together after a nice mile last week, which was his best of his short season so far. I’m not sure what happened to (6) THIRTY SIX RED last week but he almost immediately went backwards when he moved outside, then started to reengage in the final eighth. If he’s right, he can contend for the win. (5) CHOW FOR NOW is likely to get another forward trip which should bode well for him if he brings his best.
