Race 1: 3YO Fillies NW1 or $7,000 LT **GTD $75,000 Pick 5**
(8) ENCHANTING GAL qualified better than most of these have been racing on June 18th and she gets top call in the opener off that mile. (7) ELLA made a good late move last time but the pace was accelerating at that point so it was for naught. I'll use her in this spot. (10) FINANCIAL DAY goes for connections that have won two straight with a promising sophomore colt trotter here and this one wouldn't be a big surprise in this spot. (1) HEID should go better here with a start under her belt and she should hit the ticket if she stays flat.
Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GOLD - 3 YO FILLIES
The queen bee (5) ALICORN is unveiled here for her sophomore debut and she'll be tough to beat at a short price. (8) LAURAS LOVE went a huge trip to win last week and she is a filly that just keeps coming in the stretch; Exacta factor. (3) BETALADY couldn't repel Laura's Love late last week but that was a good effort and she should be a threat for the exotics here. (4) SMILING DIALING is improving and she can land a small share here.
Race 3: NW $8,600 L5 or $16,000 L9: AE: NW $1,000 L3
(5) BIG BANG BOOM chased the fastest fractions cut on this track so far this year and he did well to last and be beaten only two lengths. There will be no 1:20 opening 3/4 here and he gets the nod. (4) SWEET N FAST takes a sizeable class drop here and he will take predictable action. He is likely the one to beat. (9) ISITFRIDAYYET also faces easier and he could do in this spot if Jamieson can work out a trip from out there. (3) YACHT SEELSTER made up a ton of ground as the pace slowed but he'll probably get overbet off that race and I'll play to beat him here.
Race 4: NW $16,500 L5 or $30,000 L10 or NW $125,000 LT or NW8 LT AE: 4YO MARES: Pick 4
(1) DUNBAR HALL drops and he stands a good chance to pop vs. these. (10) DANCER HALL also figures at this level and he could get a golden tow racing on the choice's helmet; using. (8) R FIRST CLASS is another dropper who merits a look although he may end up too far back early from this post. (2) REFI is going well and his barn is going even better. He wouldn't be the worst play if he gets ignored here.
Race 5: NW $11,000 L5 or $22,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $30,000
(8) TYGA HANOVER had an even race last week chasing the streaking Tattoo Artist through rapid fractions. That should have him tight and now he gets his nose on the gate. I expect a more aggressive try here. (3) ICY BLUE SCOOTER also gets out of the second tier and dropping from the top class should produce a wakeup effort here; using. (1) SPORTSLINE is a win machine who is hard to leave off multi-race tickets even though he faces much tougher in this spot. (4) PEACE OUT POSSE is another to consider on the class drop in a race that could go a few different ways depending on tactics, pace and trip.
Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GOLD - 3 YO FILLIES PICK 5
(1) ROSE RUN VANTAGE comes off a sharp try in her season's debut where she fell just short to a mare who was taking her third straight win. She gets the nod over the sharp (5) SEX APPEAL who just took a new life's mark and is an obvious threat. (3) KARMA SEELSTER had a good tightener vs. elders and she could go off as an overlay here in a spot where she could trip out racing near the front. (6) WIGGLE DELIGHT is worth a look for the exotics on the barn change.
Race 7: PREFERRED - PICK 4
Here is a massive clash of the titans between stablemates (3) MUSICAL RHYTHM and (8) P L JILL. The former had a default excuse available in his season debut last week when the leader stole a 58 1/5 middle 1/2 but he was having none of it and he put his head down and willed his way to victory. He's King of the Hill until knocked off but P L Jill has never been better; using both. Triple millionaire (9) MARION MARAUDER could make things interesting if he can find a good trip but from out there I'll give him one. (1) HEY LIVVY trotted her back 1/2 in 53 2/5 last week and that's Peaceful Way territory but she could be at the mercy of traffic and trip issues here again; using underneath.
Race 8: CLM HDCP $25,000 TO $30,000
(1) OH K MAN rallied from an impossible spot in a race where the winner was taking a new life's mark (and has already come back to win again), now he draws much better and he gets top call here. (3) SILVERHILL BLAZE pressed then set some solid fractions while winning in the lowest conditioned class now he enters for a tag where he seems to fit well; using. (2) BROOKLETSJUSTIFIED was going well when racing stopped in March and he wouldn't be the worst price play in here. (5) KINGOFTHEJUNGLE made two moves to win last week and he isn't impossible ether in this spot.
Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GOLD - 3 YO FILLIES
(4) PROBERT lost her perfect record last week but there was no shame in defeat as she was flying at the end of the mile. That effort is a perfect primer for this first try at the Golds and she gets top call. (6) SO DELIGHTFUL set the pace and tired in that race and she is expected to improve off a start that she probably needed. (7) OFF THE PRESS exits some tough races and she should enter contention vs. this group. (2) SPORTIKA blew the tote board up against weaker last time. She may be able to sneak into the Super here.
Race 10: NW $5,300 L5 of $10,500 L10
(1) IDEAL JET drops and gets Zeron after setting too fast a pace last time. Zeron has had success in the past bottoming out the field with this Craig Barrs trainee and I imagine that will be the strategy he deploys here. Both (4) MAKE SOME LUCK and (8) DRACHAN HANOVER finished ahead of the choice last time and they take the same class drop. Either are logical multi-race alternatives. (10) HES A SENSATION has improving form and he should make it into the Super here. (5) KWIK TALKIN should be passing a few of these in the back 1/2; using on the bottom.
