Top Pick Stats: 216/621 = -$52.40 Best Bets: 15/58 = –$12.20; Spot Plays: 17/58 = +$4.60 Best Bet:  ILIKEMEBETTOR A (race 10)   Spot Play: LETS GET ROCKED (race 5) Early Pick 5: 4,8/2,3,6/4,5,7/1,2,5/ 8 = $10.80 Late Pick 5: 2/2,3,5/2,3,5/5/4 = $1.80 Race 1: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS STARTERS. (8) PL STEVIE hasn’t hit the board in both of her career tries but has been sneaky good in those efforts. She was stuck behind a rival i on the inside in her latest and didn’t have a seam. I’m not a fan of the outside post, but this filly is sitting on a big effort, and I’ll side with her for value. (4) FOXY AMEE made her first start of 2025 last time out, and did so after missing 3 weeks after her most recent qualifying prep. She added trotting hopples in that contest and stayed to task, and finished a good 2nd despite a trip that had poor flow. She draws well again and she could prove tough to beat if she’s handled aggressively in her 2nd start; contender. (1) OCEANVIEW RUMOURS fell short to the pace setter as she got favorable panels in that contest. This filly trotted well late, but will have to start from the pole position again, and might get away in a spot with plenty of leavers to her outside. She can hit the ticket with a trip. (3) IVY LYNN was confident handled in her latest outing and it resulted in a gate to wire score. She draws well and I’d expect her to be aggressive here again. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2:  WINNERS OF 3 BUT NOT MORE THAN 6 OR $80,000 LT. (2) MYFRIENDJOSE rebounded from a lackluster effort and was able to score a nice victory, making multiple moves in the process. He was able to fend off a rival who had a clear shot late as well. He takes on similar company and he’ll have every chance to double up. (6) R PEAKY BLINDERS was trotting well late but couldn’t get to the choice in his latest. He stayed flat throughout after making breaks in his last two pari-mutuel tries and this is one who should be even tighter this evening; using. (3) WHAT ABOUT ELMO made an aggressive bid towards the eventual winner and got repelled in that try. He was a game 2nd and should be sitting on another good effort. (4) MASTERCRAAFT was aggressively handled in a winning effort after a pair of 2nd place finishes in his starts prior. He has a more favorable draw to work with and has options here. Race 3: NW $3,200 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $7,100 LAST 7 STARTS. (7) FOREFATHER is coming off his best effort in quite some time. He was 4th in his latest but showed plenty of late go and was running over top of horses ahead of the wire. He is tough to trust given he’s not handy off the car and is winless in 16 tries, but he could be trending towards a victory this evening. He is JR Plante’s choice over a pair of rivals in this contest. (5) ARMOR SEELSTER never had a chance given his trip last time out. He paced home well to be 3rd in that contest, and with a better draw to work with here, I’m expecting an aggressive driver from his new pilot in this spot. He is a contender. (4) WOODMERE FENN got a clear shot late in the mile and just missed to the pocket sitter who had the jump on him. It was his first pari-mutuel start since March and he should be even tighter here. (3) BEACH COWBOY is coming off a non-competitive qualifying effort as he gears up for this start. He adds Lasix coming into this contest and can hit the ticket if he’s right.  Race 4: NW $9,000 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. (5) VICTOR INVICTUS hasn’t hit the board in back to back efforts, but hasn’t raced as bad as his lines may indicate. He hasn’t had much success at this class, but he off his last two efforts and the draw that he has to work with here, we could see a more aggressive approach this evening. I’ll give him the nod. (2) DEVILS ARCH is coming off back to back wins. He was able to trip out in each of those efforts but is coming into this event brimming with confidence. He should be able to work out another favorable trip and he’s a major threat. (1) WILLOWTIME wasn’t a factor whatsoever in his latest from an outside draw vs. Tougher company. He draws the rail and takes a dip in class and he’s a threat. (4) TRUFFLES TOO failed to hit the board in his latest, but he should be able to stick around and hit the ticket. Race 5: CLAIMING HANDICAP $18,000 TO $24,000. (8) LETS GET ROCKED worked out a nice pocket trip in his latest before jumping it off as the 3/5 favorite. He loses his pilot from last week, but picks up Billy Davis Jr. in what appears to be a live pickup. (9) ROCHESTER FLASH has been cruising to victories in condition claimers and will now step up in class here. He draws the outside but he’s sharp enough to be competitive here. (10) JJ TOMMY has been picked off in his last two tries after going on speed missions. He draws outside this evening and will race out of the Anthony Montini barn. He merits respect and picks up James MacDonald here. (6) TANGO SELESTER has rounded out the super in his last few tries and he can do the same here. Race 6: NW $19,000 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: NW $100,000 LIFETIME. (2) TOP MAST was a non-factor in his latest in what was tougher company. He was 2nd two starts back to a dominant winner and this Desiree Jones trainee should have every chance to find the winners circle off the class drop here. (7) QUEBEC HANOVER is coming off a pair of qualifiers after making miscues in two starts prior. He will likely be pointed forward here and merits plenty of respect if he stays to task. (3) PERFETTO rallied nicely in his latest to round out the superfecta. He draws inside and might be aggressively handled in this spot, which is when he’s at his best. (6) PEMBERTON will make his first start of 2025 off a pair of qualifiers. He will likely be handled conservatively in this spot and is a wait and see approach for me.  Race 7:  NW $3,200 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $7,100 LAST 7 STARTS. (2) BEACHIN LINDY rallied very nicely late in the mile to grab the place spot. He will be racing off the pace but draw much better here, and could be tough to fend off late. (5) WANNABEABIGSTAR was a no factor as the choice last week but rallied to be 5th. It was his first start in one month and he added Lasix in that contest. He should be tighter now and is a contender if he’s at his best. (3) ROCKSBILLY REBEL N takes a drop in class this evening after failing to hit the board in six straight tries. This might be what he needs to get his confidence back.  (4) KINGSTON PANIC worked out a pocket trip and couldn’t even keep up with a strong winner. He draws well and he will likely be aggressively handled here. Race 8: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 6) RACES OR $58,750 LT. (2) PL ROBERT G has been a strong runner up finisher in his last two tries. He has been racing well all year and is one I’ll side with in this spot to find the winner’s circle; good draw. (5) MARKET BANKER seems to be rounding into form and was moving well late in the mile in a 4th place effort. He had no chance give his trip, but he could be handled more confidently in this spot if he’s feeling good. (3) VERACRUZ trotted very late in the mile in a 2nd place finish to a strong winner. He draws inside and can build off that effort. (1) VALUABLE MISS draws inside vs a group that’s shape but she can land on the ticket.  [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: PREFERRED. (3) GAINES HANOVER was a game winner last time out and will be tough to beat given how sharp he is right now. (6) OSCEOLA was a strong 2nd to the choice last time out, and he will likely be his biggest threat this evening. (4) SPARTAN GENERAL has been racing very well, and he can grab a good share in a short field. (1) NASEY has rattled off consecutive victories. This is much tougher, but he can grab a share.  Race 10:  NW $6,500 LAST 5 STARTS. (4) ILIKEMEBETTOR A ships in from tries at Yonkers, where’s he’s failed to hit the board in 5 straight tries. He had no chance in his latest from pp8 and could appreciated being back on the big track this evening. I’ll give him the nod in the finale. (2) BET THE BB should appreciate the company he keeps this evening and was an okay 3rd in his latest. He’ll be involved early and merits respect. (1) GRAVITATIONAL was able to convert a pocket trip to victory in his latest. He steps up but could work out another nice trip. (5) PIPEWRENCH CHARLIE took support but never saw any racetrack after stating along the pylons. He appeared to have pace and is one that could be handled aggressively here and work out a nice trip. (3) STONE CARVER draws inside and is coming off a win at Flamboro. He can round out this Hi-5.
