Top Pick Stats: 260/833 (-$349.90) Best Bets: 31/76 (-$24.90); Spot Plays: 18/78 (-$52.90) Best Bet: KEY LARGO HANOVER (Race 3) Spot Play: TOTALLY ICONIC (Race 7) Early Pick-5: 1,4/2,5/1/5,9/1,6,10   $4.80 Late Pick-5: 4,6/1,4/1,4/1,7/4,7   $6.40 Race 1: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (4) CLASSIFIED was a good second last week and still has some upside that can be unlocked. J-Mac should get him another good trip. (1) NOTATTHETABLCARLOS has been making his middle moves work and is another that is improving with each start under his belt. The drop from Grassroots company helps. (10) M E LAUREL drops from a Gold where she got a check. If she is going to continue to try stakes company this year, she doesn’t need to win here, and the wide draw doesn’t help. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $62,500) LIFETIME. (2) HERCULES gets a big post switch tonight and gets away from some top-heavy fields. I’ll give him the nod tonight in a shorter group. (5) MAXIMUM EXPOSURE is still finding his footing at Mohawk but has shown enough ability on both ends of the mile when he stays flat. (1) ELBOWS UP faces tougher company tonight but her race two back fits. She doesn’t need to win here though and might look to pick up the pieces late. Race 3: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,750 LIFETIME. WITH ALLOWANCES. AE: 3 YR OLDS NW $100 L4. (1) KEY LARGO HANOVER was a winner in his debut and appears to have some upside for the McNairs. I’ll look for him to step forward tonight and win again. (5) CHOW FOR NOW has been making the most of his off-the-pace trips and most recently made up a lot of ground in a Grassroots event. He should be making up ground late and can get a big piece. (3) CABO SAN LUCAS has some strong late kick to him but is usually far back because he makes a mistake. Last week was a step in the right direction though. Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $21,000 (OS $25,000) LIFETIME. (9) LAND THE PLANE was a sharp second in his return where he made an extended move to the front. He should be tighter tonight and can win despite a wide draw. (5) D A MASSTERMIND is improving with each start this year and held his own in a Gold last week. Big chance if the form continues. (4) GREEN NINETEEN is usually in the mix at this level and draws a post where gate speed is likely to be shown. Race 5: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (6) FIGURATIVELY made a good account of herself in her return and will look to build off that effort. She draws well again tonight; I’ll give her the nod. (1) BEAU KNIGHT finally draws inside at the maiden level and shouldn’t have to be used as hard in the early stages. (10) UP TO NO GOUDA could win a Grassroots race if he ever gets figured out. He has ability, but usually costs himself with mistakes. Race 6: FILLIES & MARES NW 3 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $45,000) LIFETIME. (4) SHIMMERING HANOVER faced some tough fillies in a PA stake last time out, but it’s not like she was overmatched there. She got around the Mohawk oval just fine last season. I’ll look for her to bounce back. (6) HP CRYSTALINE pulled off a wire to wire upset in the Gold in what was her first start on Lasix. Improvement is likely again tonight. She should be tough here. (8) WALNERS GROVE produced a nice back half en route to a win in her second start of the year. The task is tougher now, but she should step forward. Race 7: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (4) TOTALLY ICONIC made a big middle move in his latest and parlayed it into his first career win. A similar burst could see him right in the mix tonight at a price. (1) CAPTAIN WILLIE is logical given his strong finishes in recent weeks, but the rail might stop him from leaving out as hard as he has been. (6) DULCES SUENOS DEO got back to his board hitting ways last week. I’ll look for him to do the same tonight. Race 8: FILLIES & MARES NW 3 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $45,000) LIFETIME. (4) SOUTHWIND FLORENCE was a sharp winner last week with a down the road score. She draws perfectly to try it again. (1) CALYX was a filly that many were on last week, but she wasn’t going to catch the aforementioned winner no matter where she got away. A similar trip and result are expected. (6) KENOGAMI FANCY made a miscue in her first Grassroots try, but that can be forgiven for now. A rebound is expected in her Mohawk return. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: OPEN. (7) LOGAN PARK was mired at the back in the Cutler, but he isn’t up to the level of those horses now, regardless of trip. I’ll look for him to rebound from his miscue two back. (1) SID THE KID got a slick steer from Mark Mac last week and could find himself in a similar spot tonight. He frequently outraces his odds. (9) USAIN HANOVER was an overlay last week and is likely to be one here, but his trip options might be limited from the high draw. Race 10: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $60,000 (OS $92,500) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. AE: NW $750 L4. (7) NATIONAL TIER gets post relief this week and should be more involved. This is a level that he succeeds at more often than not. (4) COASTLINE took advantage of a stalking trip behind fast fractions. He could do the same tonight from this post. (5) CATITUDE is another who likes a setup from midpack and could be the biggest beneficiary if they spice it up on the lead.
