Top Pick Stats: 244/790 (-$340.80) Best Bets: 29/72 (-$26.80); Spot Plays: 18/74 (-$44.90) Best Bet: MASS DEPLOYMENT (Race 8) Spot Play: CANU FLY WITHME (Race 6) Early Pick-5: 2,9/6,8/4,6,9/1/3,8,10   $7.20 Late Pick-5: 5,10/5,7/5/6,7/3,4   $3.20 Race 1: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (9) STORMONT SHANLYBOY took a step forward last week and finished a good second from post ten. He was angled to the outside in the stretch and was making up ground. I’ll look for him to break through with another forward trip. (2) CLASSIFIED can beat this group but needs to avoid making a mistake. Not many better than J-Mac with inexperienced trotters. (5) HANDNTHECOOKIEJAR was a decent third last week and wasn’t losing too much ground in the final sixteenth. He should have more trip options tonight now that he gets away from the rail. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $21,500 (OS $25,000) LIFETIME. (8) KENOGAMI BELLINI had to settle for second behind Imperative who got the jump on her. Those two face off again tonight; I’ll look for her and J-Mac to turn the tables. (6) IMPERATIVE got an aggressive steer by McClure and made the most of it. There is every chance he does the same and ends up with the same winning result. (4) TIMELESS was overmatched in the SBOA elimination but took a step forward from his qualifier. If she shows similar stretch kick, she can pass horses and hit the board. Race 3: NW $23,500 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: NW 8 RACES OR $150,000 LIFETIME. (6) SID THE KID never had a chance to escape from the pocket when Osceola closed the rail. Assuming he shows gate speed again this week, he could end up tripping out at a price. (4) AMIGO VOLO took a step in the right direction with his qualifier, and he is likely to improve when returning after a few weeks off, but he hasn’t quite had the necessary punch to hang at the top level. That could change tonight. (9) STORMONT BEAUTIFUL posted a big final quarter in her return, and a step forward could make her a serious threat. Wide open race in my opinion. Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $21,500 (OS $25,000) LIFETIME. (1) TH TRIX R FORKIDS vaulted up the inside after the rail opened up for her. Horses don’t tend to repeat at lower-level classes like this, but a repeat of last week gives her a big chance to do so. (7) SOCIAL WIZARD should improve in her second start of the year, but I’m not sure how big that step will be. I’ll use him for second, hoping that it’s enough to put her in winning contention. (10) CALYX is likely to work out another off the pace trip, but that has been working out well for her this season. She is a strong closer that should be picking off rivals in the stretch. Race 5: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,750 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,000 LIFETIME. WITH ALLOWANCES. AE: NW $100 L4. (10) SEABOARD makes his debut after just one qualifier but appears to have some upside against a group that shows flashes on paper but hasn’t delivered yet. I’ll take a swing. (3) COULD BE KING has been sprinting well against some tougher foes and is a logical choice on paper assuming he gets away in decent order. (8) PROBABILITY adds Lasix after a fine effort in his latest. He may not be handled as aggressively this week but could improve and get a piece. Race 6: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (10) CANU FLY WITH ME is a well-bred filly making her career debut after just one qualifier. Her dam was also trained by Dustin Jones and was only in stakes races as a two-year-old. She is an interesting prospect and one I’ll take a shot with right away. (5) R HALO is the fastest trotter in this field but needs to avoid taking herself out of the race with a miscue. As previously mentioned, J-Mac is good with green trotters. (2) ICED got the job done when shipping to Flamboro last week. That confidence booster could allow him to step forward tonight and get a piece. Race 7: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, WINNERS OF 3 (FM 4) BUT NOT MORE THAN 5 (FM 6) OR $80,000 (OS $100,000) LIFETIME. (5) MR WALNER FASHION has been extremely reliable since returning to action and raced well against the white hot Ungawa last week. I’ll give him another try. (7) YOU GOT IT KEMP makes his return after a year and a half on the shelf. He nearly went undefeated at two and made over a quarter of a million dollars. His two recent qualifiers signal that he could be ready to make a successful 2026 debut. (10) LANDING ON TIME had to settle for third after a sustained outside move. I can see him grinding into contention again tonight and getting a piece. Race 8: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $21,500 (OS $25,000) LIFETIME. (5) MASS DEPLOYMENT was a good third in his return behind two quality trotters who went a big back half. I would expect him to be forward tonight and have every chance to get the job done. (4) GO ROSSCO picks up the leading driver which could allow his step forward to be bigger than some expect. He could loom as a major value player in exotics. (10) RONDA MAY K was unable to capitalize as the heavy favorite in her return but was pressured in the opening half. Her issue this week is the post draw. If she blasts to the front, it might be too much, forcing her to fight for a piece. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: OPEN. (7) USAIN HANOVER is back in top form after impressively putting away Logan Park and pulling the upset in last week’s Open. He trotted a huge back half in that effort. He should be tough to beat here if that form continues. (6) HASTY BID got a good trip last week and only lost by half a length. His gate speed puts him in spots to succeed. (2) OUTSIDE THE FIRE gave a good account of himself in the top level and has speed on both ends of the mile that should make him a factor once again. Race 10: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $60,000 (OS $75,000) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. AE: N/A $985 P/S IN 2026. (4) D A SUPER GLO has been close in his two tries since returning and is likely to be forwardly placed again. I’ll give him the nod this week. (3) NATIONAL TIER was mired at the back last week and never in contention. He returns to the level where he was a winner just two starts ago. (2) JIMS FIRST DATE made a brief miscue at the start, but that didn’t stop him from producing a sharp middle move and getting into contention. His form is sharp right now.
