Top Pick Stats: 210 - 622 / $1,139.10 (-$104.90) Best Bets: 34 - 56 / $130.90 (+$18.90) Spot Plays: 12 - 56 / $73.80 (-$38.20) Best Bet: SPARTAN GENERAL (4TH) Spot Play: DREAMFAIR MOXY (8TH) Early Pick 5: 3,4,7/4,6,7/1,3,4,9/3/3,4,6 = $21.60 Late Pick 5: 1,3,4/3,8/2,7/2,7/1,3,10 = $14.40 Early Pick 4: 3/3,4,6/1,3,4/3,8 = $3.60 Late Pick 4: 3,8/2,7/2,7/1,3,10 = $4.80 Race 1: NW $8,900 L5 Pick 5 **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** (3) CHULO’s 1:51 1/5 mile at this level trotted last week wins almost every time, but he couldn't catch the leader who trotted out of his skin. He should be sitting on a win now providing he stays flat. (7) PIKACHU HANOVER takes a big drop, and he is the obvious alternative to the choice here, likely blasting to the front and looking to go down the road. (4) ITSTIMETOGOHOME dropped to this level and was a good 2nd to a dominant winner. His 27-flat kicker makes him dangerous. (1) ALL WRAPPED UP likely sits and rallies for a slice in this spot. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 5YO and Younger winners of 2 (F&M3) but not more than 5 or $45,000 LT AE 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000 (7) STABLE GENIUS was kept inside last week, and he had plenty of trot in the lane but never found an inch of room until it was far too late. I'll give him the nod expecting a more aggressive steer this time. (6) BELLA CAVALLA is right there every week and she’s hard to leave off Pick 5 tickets. (4) WARRAWEE XALT tired late but the big early speed he showed can be a sign of improvement. He is in with a chance here. (9) UNBEATABLE KEMP flew late but he will likely drop to the back from his wide post tonight and that makes him hard to back to win. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: CLM HDCP $25,000 to $35,000 (3) UNIQUE BEACH was an unlucky loser last week when a rival got a perfect run up the pylons and picked him off. A repeat of that mile would give him a big shot here. (9) I AMA ROCKET was stellar racing in the rain last week and he showed that a wide post could be overcome; using. (4) FLASHY DUDE was up against it last week trying to close on Iama Rocket in the rain. He is another that could do with the right trip here. (1) UNCONTROLLABLE wasn't far behind the choice when claimed by Demers and he is worth using in the exotics tonight. Race 4: Horses that have started for a purse of $15K or less in 1 of L4 - Pick 4 (3) SPARTAN GENERAL jogged over similar in the rain last week and he will be tough to beat here now that he is in peak form. (9) GOLD EDITION finished 3rd in the fastest trotting mile in Canada this year and he fits well here. He will likely be sent forward leaving the gate and he should be a big threat. (1) SEA CAN is another that has hit his best stride and he should close for another share in this spot. (4) ROSIES WAR BONDS dominated a weaker field, and she will likely finish on the edges tonight. Race 5: NW $1,575 L3 Tough race full of class droppers. Of those, I'll side with (4) HUNTER HILL, who paced a big mile in defeat at this level two starts back and will offer a good price tonight. (3) CAPITANO ITALIANO comes off a sharp try at this level and he is one of many in with a chance. (6) PIPEWRENCH CHARLIE drops to the bottom and exits some fast races. He is hard to leave out. (5) BETTORBEFLYIN likely needed last week's comeback start. He can improve sharply here; using. Race 6: 5YO and Younger winners of 2 (F&M3) but not more than 5 or $45,000 AE 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000 - Pick 5 (1) EDEN ONTHEHILL raced large in defeat last week from post 10. Moving inside makes him the top pick here. (3) DWS POINT MAN was winning the Superfinal when last seen and his quality is obvious. Intent is usually a question mark when these stakes types make their sophomore debuts in these spots, but he is capable if he gets put into the race. (4) CREED HANOVER is in great form and despite facing tougher, he is in with a shot vs. these.  (9) SOUTHWIND DOMINO has been good in two straight starts and his gate speed should get him position early. He is in the exotics mix. Race 7: NW $14,500 L5 or $28,000 L8 - Pick 4 (3) PERFETTO drops and likely pops in this spot, racing on or near the front the whole way. (8) MUSCLE FASHION hinted at improvement two starts back with a big late brush then he produced an otherworldly win that stands as the fastest mile trotted in Canada last week. You wonder if he left everything on the track last week, but if he comes close to replicating that mile, he will be tough. (6) GIGONDAS should be good for another small share in this spot. (1) STAY CLOSE steps up off a strong win but I prefer to use him underneath facing tougher here. Race 8: CLM HDCP $12,000 to $16,000 (7) DREAMFAIR MOXY is hot, and he goes for Waxman off the claim, and he has also been running hot. He should be tough to beat here. (2) WINDSONG GRAYSON drops back to the level where he races best, and he figures to wake up tonight; using. (3) DO YOU SEE IT, stablemate to the choice, continues to race well and he should be part of the exotics again. (1) BETTORS VICTORY chased a class-dropping chalk in London last Tuesday in a decent effort. He can land a share vs. these. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: FREE FOR ALL (2) LOGAN PARK has handled these three times in a row, and he is unlikely to get upset as he shoots for the fourpeat tonight. (7) PATRIARCH HANOVER was on fire at the wire last week and if he had a few more strides available before the wire hit, he would have swallowed up the leader. If anyone is brave enough to get in a battle with the choice, this stallion could vault past late; using. (3) H P MAMA B was a solid winner last week, but she is unlikely to be allowed to lead this time. I'll use her underneath. (8) WARAWEE XENIA needs a clean line after jumping it off last week. She likely drops back to last here and closes for a slice if she stays trotting. Race 10: NW $4,950 L5 or $11,600 L10 (10) HESINCONTROL can blast to the lead early here and control this race. He gets top billing despite drawing widest. (1) OUTLAW ACEOFSPADES was a narrow loser at this level last week and he should be flying late again; using. (3) RESPECT OUR FLAG raced decently in a fast mile for this class last week. I can see him getting a good trip racing near the front and he is in with a chance. (2) SIP OF BOURBON is worth a look for the bottom of the exotics facing easier here. (9) SAILBOAT HANOVER brings good form in from the 'B' tracks, and he can land a share in this spot.
