This is a big class drop for (4) PERFETTO, and he should be tough to beat in here. I think Henriksen puts him in play leaving the gate this week. (2) TOKYO SEELSTER is also in easier here and Macdonald qualified him, and he drives him tonight. He is the other one that I’ll use in the early Pick 5. (7) BUCK DANCER is capable at this level, but his recent form is uninspiring. I could see him landing a small share here if he wakes up. (1) PHEONIX closed nicely for a share last week and he should be in the exotics mix here.

Race 2: 5YO and younger winners of 2 (F&M3) but not more than 5 or $45,000 LT

(7) QUEBEC HANOVER had a decent start coming off a layoff, closing for a share against a better field. He can beat these if he gets put into this race earlier. (4) MERCUTIO finished ahead of the choice in that race after racing first up and he is a logical contender here. (5) ETERNALLY HANOVER was on a roll here in February and perhaps getting Macdonald in the bike tonight will wake him up; using. (2) SEND IT IN HANOVER finished well in both qualifiers and he can close for a share here.

Race 3: NW $20,000 in 2023/24 or N/A $1K P/S in 2023/24 (Min. 10 starts) AE: NW $8,500 L10

(6) THONG CONTROL’s 2024 debut was decent, and I think Filion will look to send him down the road tonight; top call. (8) CAPTAIN BUTLER produced a good late kick after missing some time and he is another that will likely get better position early in this mile. He is in with a chance here. (1) PARTYINTHESHADOWS showed some pace in the back 1/2 of his last start. He hasn’t hit the top two yet this year, but he seems to fit well vs. these; price look. (5) HES STALKING YOU raced better last week to take a slice and he finished ahead of the choice. He should take another share in this field.

Race 4: CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000 - Pick 4

(9) BRING YOUR FIRE was trapped until it was too late last week then he was airborne at the wire. I’m going to take a stand and single him racing off the McQueen claim. (7) NO TIME AT ALL finished close to streaking Royal Regatta when claimed and he figures to be the main threat here. (5) DIRTY LIL PIGLET raced well in the recently concluded Pop-Up series. His good late kick should net him a share here. (3) MY LAND comes off two solid efforts at this level and he should be part of the Tri or Super again.

Race 5: NW $16,750 L5 AE: OPT CLM $70,000 or NW $130,000 LT or

(1) NASEY had no problem blowing past the class dropping chalk last week. He is sharp and he gets the call to repeat. (2) YO MISTER got aggressive last week, and it paid off with a win. He isn’t the type that needs the lead to win, and he should be right there again. (5) FRANKS ANGEL fits better at this level and he can get a good trip racing close to the front. He is another to consider for multi-race wagers. (8) GIGONDAS will use his good gate speed to get early position again and he is in the exotics mix.

Race 6: CLM HDCP $19,000 to $24,000 - Pick 5

(3) TUF COOPER had pace in the lane in his return race but there was no room available until very late. He closed willingly and I’ll take a price swing with him here. (7) ARUKIDINME CABBIE raced tough first up to get the win and he is the one to beat here. (1) J J TOMMY got the trip but he couldn’t reach up. I’ll use him underneath here. (5) HES GOT SWAGGER races off the Lester claim and he will likely lead the way for as far as he goes.

Race 7: Horses that have started for a purse of $15,000 or less in 1 of L3 - Pick 4

(2) EZRA goes to Moreau here coming off a sharp closing effort and he looks good vs. these. (5) O NARUTAC PERFETTO keeps winning at 13 years old. He is sharp and consistent, and he figures vs. these; using. (8) SOUTHWIND COMINO drops, and I could see Jones firing him off the gate this time. He is another in with a shot. (3) TREASURED TEE brings good form with him from Flamboro, and he can take a share in this spot.

Race 8: NW $1,500 L3

Tough race here. I’ll try (7) WOODMERE ROLLNPOP on the barn and driver change. He has gate speed in a race that doesn’t seem to have many leavers and Macdonald may find him the best trip. (5) ARMOR SEELSTER dropped and went off as odds-on chalk, but he ran into a sharp rival that led all the way. Jamieson has been a good partner for him in the past and he is an obvious contender here. (1) GATOR HANOVER comes off a good effort at a big price and he can take another share here. (6) PIPEWRENCH CHARLIE will likely sit and rally here and land in the bottom of the exotics.

Race 9: PREFERRED

(8) AMIGO VOLO returns from a brief rest looking to resume his winning ways in the top class and he is strictly the one to beat here. (7) SOUTHWIND ONCORE gets off the rail here and three starts back he started much quicker when he drew this post in the New Holland Series. He can be an Exacta factor tonight. (4) LOOKS LIKE MONI is one of the best ones in here but he hasn’t raced since last August. He will likely sit and rally and land in the bottom of the exotics. (5) SOUTHWIND COORS has improving form and he should be part of the exotics despite the class rise.

Race 10: CLM HDCP $14,000 to $18,000

(9) MACH IMPACT dropped, and he was resilient coming back on to win after setting a big opening 1/4 then losing the lead on the backstretch. I’ll call him to repeat. (7) CAPT JACK HANOVER attracts the leading driver after getting claimed out of a win. He will likely get another good trip here racing on or near the front. He is sharp and dangerous. (6) MAINTENANCE MAN was right there with the choice and he gets back on a 7-day rotation now. He will likely offer a decent price here; using. (8) CAPT FIREBALL fires sub-28 kickers every week and if there is a crazy early pace, he will likely be the one left standing. He is worth using on late multi-race tickets. (3) TREACHEROUS TOM should get a slice racing off the Waxman claim.
