(8) WINNING ALLIANCE has a good chance to keep her 2024 win streak going here despite facing tougher. Ratchford has driven her with a lot of confidence and he will put her into the race early again; top call. (6) YANK MY HALO trotted a sub-56 back 1/2 and gained rapidly in the lane now he moves from the worst post to the best one. He is the other one that I’ll use in the Pick 5. (2) EDEN ONTHEHILL gets Macdonald tonight with Ratchford opting for the choice. He is worth a price look for the exotics. (3) DOUBLE DIPPIN comes in off three decent efforts in a row at this level and he should be part of the Tri or Super again.

Race 2: NW $20,000 IN 2023/24 or N/A $1,000 P/S IN 2023/24. AE: starters for a purse of $9K or less L3 or N/A $740 P/S IN 2024

(5) CHIEF OF STAFF’s 26 1/5 kicker from last week sticks out here and I’ll take a price swing with him in a field with no standout. (2) FULL DISCLOSURE got a great trip last week, he was beaten by two rivals that would likely be favored in this field. He should be a threat with Jamieson taking the return drive tonight. (7) FOXHUNT exits a fast mile and Borth will likely put him into this race leaving the gate. He can be a big speed threat in this field; using. (9) THRILLING TIMES was J Mac’s choice of the two Moreau entrants and he can enter contention on the class drop tonight.

Race 3: PREFERRED

(6) AMIGO VOLO got a perfect drive from Borth to take his fourth win in a row at this level at an astounding price of $3.25 to 1 last week. He typically makes his own luck by being aggressive and he is the horse to beat. (5) LOOKS LIKE MONI will rightfully take a lot of action here based on the 25 4/5 kicker he fired in his first race in eight months. He will probably be the one to fend off in the lane. (2) SOUTHWIND COORS went off as the chalk last week but he made his own bed by watching the choice steal a 58 4/5 middle 1/2. He is obviously capable with the right trip. (1) DISTANCE LEARNING is in solid form and he can take a slice here.

Race 4: CLM HDCP $30,000 to $40,000 - Pick 4

(7) HEAD HONCHO has been chasing currently unbeatable Sweet Deisel lately and tonight he isn’t required to face that rival. He gets top billing here and he should offer a square price. (2) BIG BULLY is on a roll having just lowered his lifetime mark, and he goes for a high percentage barn racing off the claim tonight. He is capable of notching a threepeat despite facing tougher. (9) CONTROL HEAVEN will no doubt get put into play on the class drop and he could be the last one to lead and the first one to the wire; using. (6) ORDER TO GO gets a better post and Lasix here and he should be passing horses late to take at least a share.

Race 5: NW $14,000 L5 or $32,600 L10 AE: NW $100,000 LT

(8) PATRIARCH HANOVER raced well first up vs. tougher last week. Getting off the rail and facing easier gives him a better chance to get positioned near the front early in the mile. He gets top billing vs. these. (1) NASEY drops, gets J Mac back, and moves off post 10. Sharp improvement is likely and he is the other one that I’ll use on multi-race tickets. (7) LOCATELLI should be passing a few of these in the final 1/4 and he can land in the exotics. (4) QUEBEC HANOVER got a great drive to win last week but he won’t be able to steal similar fractions here facing tougher; using underneath.

Race 6: CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000 - Pick 5

I thought (1) BETTER THAN CASH raced decently last week in a no-win situation chasing a leader that stole cheap fractions. There is a better chance that he gets a setup in this spot and I’ll call him to upset. (8) ROYAL REGATTA keeps winning and he is the one to knock off again but I think he gets challenged this week. (10) LETS GET ROCKED sat pocketed behind Royal Regatta last week and had a clear run along the pylons in the lane but the leader had too much left. He is worth using here racing off the McQueen claim. (9) HIGHLAND BEACH BOY produced a nice closing effort last week and he can pass a few of these late, too; using underneath.

Race 7: Horses that have started for a purse of $15K or less in 1 of L4

(8) MISTER MAGIC was his typical tough self last week, continuing to close despite racing uncovered a long way. A slightly easier trip can get him a win here. (2) HEY RALPHIE closed as the pace accelerated late in the mile and almost picked off the odds-on favorite. He is sharp and he’s in with a decent chance. (1) RITSON made a threatening first up move last week and stuck around for a share. He is another to consider in a race where several have a chance. (4) SOUTHWIND DOMINO will likely get another good trip here and take a share.

Race 8: CLM HDCP $14,000 to $18,000 - Pick 4

(5) TREACHEROUS TOM did all the work and got picked off right on the line last week. He has a big shot of leading all the way vs. these. (4) SIR A is 1 for 56 the past two years, but he paced a 1:52-flat mile off the claim, he drops back into a claimer and he attracts the leading driver. My spidey senses are tingling with this one; using. (7) MAINTENANCE MAN is worth a look racing off the Merner claim tonight. He is another one to consider for late multi-race tickets. (6) TUF COOPER should improve enough getting away from Big Bully to take a share tonight.

Race 9: NW $9,200 L5 AE: OPT CLM $50,000 AE: N/A $1,600 P/S in 2023-24

(10) PHEONIX raced well in two straight starts vs. some tough rivals and him drawing widest here ensures that he will offer a square price; top call. (1) GIGONDAS has a much better chance of making front tonight and that’s where he does his best work; using. (4) ALL WRAPPED UP comes off a strong effort but he tends to be trip dependent. I’d demand a price here. (7) JOKIC is worth a look for the exotics moving into Etsell’s barn tonight.

Race 10: CLM HDCP $19,000 to $24,000

(3) LETS GET PICKLED has been racing against a very hot horse in Ottawa and he drops in for a tag and moves to Barrington’s barn here. He has raced well several times in the past and he gets the nod here. (6) CAPT JACK HANOVER is sharp and hard to leave off late multi-race tickets racing off the Waxman claim tonight. (1) J J TOMMY paced a sub-54 back 1/2 last week and he can close for another share in here. (2) MACH IMPACT took a new season’s mark when claimed, but these are tougher. I’ll use him underneath.

Race 11: NW $1,660 L3

(1) ROCKME ROLLME should be tough here dropping to the bottom level and Borth will likely look to take control of this race early; top call. (4) BACKSTREET GAMBLER is another dropper that figures to get back on track with a better effort here. It would be no surprise if he took his first win of the year at this bottom conditioned level. (5) ST LADS BEAT IT has been chasing Sweet Deisel around the track for several weeks and that rival has been unbeatable. He should improve by default not having to face that one here. (3) TYPHOON STRIDE N is interesting shipping north after facing tougher at Dover but he has missed six weeks. I’ll use him underneath considering that stale date. (6) J J XAVIER should close for another small share in this spot.
