Top Pick Stats: 153/531 (-$295.70) Best Bets: 21/48 (-$13.60); Spot Plays: 14/50 (-$21.70) Best Bet: RICO TUBBS (Race 8) Value Play: ILOVEMESOMETACOS (Race 7) Early Pick-5: 3,7/3,4/8/1,3/2,3   $3.20 Late Pick-5: 1,3/3,8/1/4,5,7/3,6,8   $7.20 Race 1: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $62,500) LIFETIME. (7) EUROBANK HANOVER was a near-miss second to a stakes-tested rival last week. Both of his races this year have been very good. I’ll give him the nod. (3) HERCULES flaunted his ability against a tougher group of horses and got the job done. He should sit close and be right there at the wire. (6) WOLFPACK CROWN just missed to Hercules last week and should be able to sit a good trip against his two main rivals. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. AE: NW $24,000 IN 2025-2026. (4) LOCHINVAR AUSSIE took on a group with a lot of potential last week. He has been saddled with tough outside trips, and grinders usually don’t fare too well at The Meadowlands. I’ll take a shot with the fresh face. (3) CAN BE A TREASURE was bet down fairly hard last week and was put in play like a 9-5 shot should be. He came up a little bit short, though, which was his M.O. in early March. We’ll see if he can rebound this week. (7) TH ALLOWMETOLEAD has the gate speed to put himself in play, though he is another that struggles to finish. Look for him to hold on for a piece. Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. AE: 3 YO FILLYS NW $100 IN 2026 (MIN 2 STS). (8) SOLO TO LEXINGTON was just okay in some lower-level stakes last season. Her first qualifier back showed potential, but she made a break late in her second morning prep. Still, I really can’t trust anyone that much in here, and she at least was thought highly enough of to be put in stakes races. (7) PATS QUEEN doesn’t usually show gate speed, but she has enough kick to make herself a factor against these. (6) HP FASHIONISTA made her career debut last week and showed some potential, trotting a decent final quarter against a strong winner. Look for her to step forward and get a piece. Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $23,750 (OS $32,000) LIFETIME. AE: MARES N/A $1,510 P/S IN 2025-26. (3) DELIGHTFUL YANKEE bore out slightly in the stretch, but was still moving forward and won her second career start. Hard to fault her right now. (1) TOMBOY STRONG took advantage of the post relief and made multiple moves to get into contention. This is an easier group overall. (6) MY GHOST had a strong season earnings-wise, and was in the mix in most of her starts, including the Harvest Series to close out her freshman campaign. After just one qualifier, she is back in to go. I’ll look for her to need a start. Race 5: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (3) SUMMER DANCER takes a drop to the 8K claiming level after being mired at the back in his latest. He hasn’t been at his best, but I can see him rebounding in this spot. (2) EARLY PLAY gets post relief this week which should allow him to be closer to the action. He has the pace on both ends of the mile to be a contender. (5) HES SWIFT has gotten along with Phil Hudon extremely well in his last four starts and likely has the most amount of gate speed in this group. He can at least hold on for a piece. Race 6: WINNERS OF 3 (FM 4) BUT NOT MORE THAN 6 OR $80,000 (OS $100,000) LIFETIME. (1) MR WALNER FASHION was a horse I wanted to take a wait and see approach on from an outside post, but his sustained middle move got him the job done over the aforementioned Eurobank Hanover. He should only continue to get better if he stays sound. (7) SEEKING SALVATION put in a strong effort last week against the boys and only missed by a length. She has more gate speed than her inside rivals. (3) FLANAGAN SUNSHINE was way overmatched in his first two starts of the year. He ended his sophomore season with a couple of decent efforts at this level. He could surprise at a price. Race 7: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. I’ll take a swing with (8) ILOVEMESOMETACOS who gets an interesting driver change tonight after a successful return that saw him get a check. His morning preps show promise, but he needs to not be his own worst enemy. (3) SWITCH posted his best career mile last week and now gets a big post change. He should be a main factor tonight. (6) DULCES SUENOS DEO needed last week’s start after being off for over a month. He should be passing horses late and can get a piece. Race 8: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $23,750 (OS $32,000) LIFETIME. AE: MARES N/A $1,510 P/S IN 2025-26. (1) RICO TUBBS caught my eye when closing down the center of the track in his season debut. He flashed potential in a couple of stakes tries at two. A step forward should see him right there. (2) GREEN NINETEEN has the gate speed to get himself into a stalking spot again, but he has failed to finish in both starts since returning. (5) SHERLYN HANOVER was a filly I went back to last week, and she delivered, but she will need to improve in a hurry if she wants to beat the top couple here. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $67,000 (OS $78,500) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. AE: N/A $770 P/S IN 2025-2026. AE: NW $200 LAST 4 STARTS. (4) MAKEMEALEGEND was a good third place finisher in his first start off the claim. I can see him tripping out from up close. (5) CATITUDE finally put it all together last week and pulled off the upset. The potential lack of gate speed in this race could have him in a similar spot when they turn for home. (7) PARTY IT UP had no chance from the high draw last week but could add value to exotics if put in play. Race 10: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (6) THIS GIRL RULES got last week off after a nose victory as the odds-on favorite. She has a post edge on her main rivals who might also show speed. (8) CATCHMEGRACEFULLY returned to Mohawk with a sharp win on the front end. It could easily line up 6-8 or 8-6 in the finale. (3) ACEFORTYFOUR DAISY could benefit from a mid-pack trip if others battle in the early stages. Regardless, I’ll use her on many tickets to try and get some value in exotics.
