Top Pick Stats: 116/412 (-$221.80) Best Bets: 15/37 (-$12.00); Spot Plays: 11/39 (-$12.40) Best Bet: TOMBOY STRONG (Race 6) Spot Play: R PEAKY BLINDERS (Race 9) Early Pick-5: 2,4,5/2/2,8/4,5/2,6,7   $7.20 Late Pick-5: 6/7/5,6,7/5/1,6,8   $1.80 Race 1: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (4) UPGRADE produced a good qualifier through the fog and now makes her sophomore debut. She was unable to pick up a win at two, but was frequently facing Grassroots foes. (5) THOR B GOOD was just behind Upgrade in that same qualifier, and looks to have some upside as he makes his debut just over a week later. (2) WHEELER SEELSTER took himself out of contention with an early miscue, though he drew outside in that race anyway. If he minds his manners, he should step forward with the big post switch. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $37,000) LIFETIME. AE: N/A $780 P/S IN 2026. (2) KINNDER ICECUBE was a strong second with James Macdonald in the bike for the first time. He should have no trouble getting a good trip in this short field. (5) CAPITALIST found his best stride late in the mile and got to within half a length of the leaders at the wire. He is likely to try and make a sustained outside move again. (6) GOAL DIGGER just missed after sitting up close. He has the speed on both ends of the mile to win, but needs to mind his manners. Race 3: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $7,500. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. LEG 1. (MUST RACE IN 2 LEGS TO BE ELIGIBLE TO FINAL). (2) PRETTY MISSY MAY is in top form right now, and just produced another near-miss second place finish. She will likely be the horse to catch when they turn for home. (8) ACEFORTYFOUR DAISY could be put in play this week with J-Mac getting the call. She has shown enough interest late in the mile to be considered a factor. (6) FIRST FILLY CHIP continues to be right in the mix, but hasn’t quite been able to get her first win of 2026. Expect her to be passing horses late. Race 4: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $30,000 (OS $43,750) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. AE: 5 YO N/A $1,125 P/S IN 2026. AE: NW $5,000 IN 2025-26. (4) JACK WICK got shuffled to last when going down the backstretch, but showed plenty of late interest and was still able to get a check. The right trip can allow him to pull off the upset. (5) CRAZIN PARTY BOY got the setup he needed, but was just a little too far back. He should win again soon at this level. (6) RYLENTLESS paced a big middle half last week in what ended up as a first over blitz. He logically got tired as a result, but now races off the claim and picks up Doug McNair. That combo could get a little more out of him this week. Race 5: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (2) LOOKSTOBEMAGIC made a successful return in her sophomore debut with a down the road score in London. I would expect her to show more speed on the bigger track. (6) NONE SHALL PASS has been off for a few weeks since his lone start this year, and even though he was gapping down the backstretch after being patiently handled, he showed interest up the inside. He is clearly a project trotter for Henriksen, who takes over the lines this week. (7) STONEBRIDGE CHIPS was aided by a few late breakers who allowed her to finish second. She could get picked off if she tries to race near the front. Race 6: FILLIES & MARES NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME. AE: 4 YR OLD MARES NW OF A RACE LAST 10 STARTS. I was a fan of (6) TOMBOY STRONG after her debut win at The Meadows. From there, she took on some extremely tough stock in Ohio stakes. She hasn’t appeared to miss a beat in the mornings and looms as a strong win candidate. (3) JUST BUSINESS made a strong case up the inside last week, but had to settle for third in a good mile. She has done little wrong so far. (2) ACROBATIC broke her maiden last week with a strong score on the front end. She has decent speed on both ends of the mile that can get her a piece. Race 7: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $7,500. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. LEG 1. (MUST RACE IN 2 LEGS TO BE ELIGIBLE TO FINAL). (7) MY ONLY SUNSHINE has been extremely reliable at this level this year. She held her own in the last Pop-Up Series, but should find this one to be easier. (4) STAY PUMPED was slightly gapping her cover around the final turn, but found another gear and just got up for the win. If she can sustain her move, she should be in contention. (3) LATTE SEELSTER got a trip around the track from the high draw just a few nights ago at Flamboro. Her gate speed should allow her to get an okay trip. Race 8: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $60,000 (OS $75,000) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. AE: N/A $790 P/S IN 2025-26. (5) SUMMER DANCER appeared to spoil his chances at the start, but paced a big effort to get into contention, and then ultimately won by over three lengths. If he can avoid the slow start, he should be a contender again. (6) ALL BETS ON GARY went under my radar last week, but was able to hold off the pack after clearing to the lead. He has won four of his last five starts. (7) PRINCE MALICIOUS has been better in his last two efforts and came away with a win last week after setting a sharp first half. He loses Louis Roy, but has a chance to get a piece if he can get away in decent order. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NEW HOLLAND TROTTING SERIES: NW $150,000 (FM $175,000) IN 2025. NO ALLOWANCES. LEG 1. (5) R PEAKY BLINDERS got a confidence-boosting drop and pop last week on the front end. He should be able to secure a good spot off the car. (6) SAFE CONDUCT was unable to clear when making a second move, and then made a break after hanging outside. I thought he would be better last week, but he added more questions. (4) USAIN HANOVER gets away from the rail this week and should be closer to the action. I would expect him to show more this time around. Race 10: NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $66,500 LIFETIME. (6) SEEKING SALVATION snuck to the outside in the stretch and was able to get up in the final few strides. J-Mac should have her near the front and in a good spot. (8) LUVUTOTHEMOONANBAK was equally as good in defeat when racing first over. He might need to make multiple moves, but he has been better in his last two efforts. (1) DAFFY HANOVER was right there out of that same race, but may be forced to start a little slower this week because of the rail. I’ll use her underneath tonight.
