(6) MARSHALL ZHUKOV raced well in defeat to a big class dropper who rode his pocket last week and he lost 2nd on the wire after doing all the work. He is a big threat to lead all the way here. (2) YOU CAN HAVE ITALL edged the choice, but he had a much easier trip. The barn has been running hot though and this one would be no surprise in here. (1) MAJOR HILL was the only one that moved early in that mile, trying it first up and he wasn’t beaten far. That was his fastest mile in a while, and he is another in with a shot. (3) LOUIS LITT N ships north after failing to convert as a 1 to 5 chalk but he only gets into this race because he dropped down that one time. He should be in the exotics mix.

Race 2: CLM HDCP $55,000 to $65,000

(4) BUCK DANCER is at the top of his game and this class is perfect for him. He is the one to beat. His stablemate, (2) CHULO closed well to finish 2nd last week and he beat Buck Dancer five starts back when he was driven aggressively. He should be the main threat here. (7) MRMAYOR HANOVER got a good trip, and he had a clear shot at the choice in the lane and he could do no better than 4th. He can be sharper in this second start of 2024, but a small share is likely his ceiling tonight. (1) EPIC DREAMER is in solid form, but this is tougher, and he will likely finish on the edges this time.

Race 3: CLM HDCP $10,000 to $14,000

(7) JAKE LOEWEN was a winner at a price last time he raced in this class, and I’ll stab with him at a price on the class drop in a race where he likely won’t get bet much. (8) SNAP TEST finished 2nd last week to a rival that has been unbeatable at this level recently. I think he gets a more aggressive steer from Macdonald tonight. He’s hard to leave off the early Pick 5 ticket. (3) MACH ART IN MOTION has been sharp for a few weeks and he is another in with a decent chance racing off the Fellows claim tonight. (2) JITTERBUG FLIP can close for a small share in this spot.

Race 4: NW $9,550 L5 AE: Starters for a purse of $15K or less L3 AE: NW $60,000 LT - Pick 4

I thought (1) MACALLAN raced better last week, and he finished with broken equipment. He could be ready to win now, and his price will make him worth a play. (3) BETTINA HANOVER drops to a level where she should be much better. Look for her late. (9) IMA STANDUP GUY raced okay from the 10-hole, and he draws widest again but with one fewer horse lined up to his left. He is worth a price look for the multis. (4) DERF HANOVER raced decently vs. a big chalk last week and he is in the exotics mix again.

Race 5: CLM $8,000

(2) UF BETTORS HANOVER has reached peak form in his past two starts and this race looks like it will set up for his strong late kick; top call. (3) FEAR THE DICE had squandered a stretch lead three starts in a row but he fits well here, and he is in with a decent chance tonight. (5) LETS GET ROCKED has a shot in here if he can find the pocket early and it appears as if that could be exactly where he lands; using. (10) THE DEVIL YOU KNOW gets Macdonald in the bike and that alone makes him worth a look for the exotics in this type of field.

Race 6: NW $9,550 L5 AE: Starters for a purse of $15K or less L3 AE: NW $60,000 LT - Pick 5

(4) SPECIAL MISSION got the job done last week despite being inexplicably sent to the inside in the lane when there was no need. He survived two inquiries, and he has a big shot to take a fourth straight win here. (2) R ROYAL PORT is the other one shooting for four straight wins and he has improved sharply recently, but I don’t see him taking down the choice tonight. (5) ALL WRAPPED UP can be sharper here returning to a 7-day cycle. He will likely sit and rally for a share. (3) VILLEFRANCHE AS will probably be more aggressive with McNair in the bike, but I prefer to use him underneath.

Race 7: CLM HDCP $19,000 to $24,000 - Pick 4

(1) HES GOT SWAGGER stepped up to this level and jogged again and this field is no tougher. Beat him to greet the cashier. (8) MASKEDMAN raced first-over for the back 1/2 and he couldn’t get close to the choice, but he was best of the rest. He can complete another Exacta here. (6) SAULSBROOK BOOMER chased the choice around the track and took a share and a similar he likely faces a similar fate tonight. (7) PROCRASTINATOR raced well in two straight at Flamboro, but this is tougher; small share predicted.

Race 8: NW $20,000 in 2023/24 or N/A $1,010 per start in 2023/24 AE: NW $7,200 in 2024

(3) FOXHUNT blasted to the front, let one go, then lacked room until late in the mile last week. He gets Macdonald now and he is a big threat to lead all the way tonight. (6) BEYOND BETTER will improve by default on the class drop here and Roy will put him into the race; using. (1) TREACHEROUS TOM is sneaky here facing easier and showing a 27 2/5 kicker last week. I’ll use him in the late multis looking for some value. (2) BETTOR HALF raced well, and he finished ahead of the choice, but his driver doesn’t win many at this track. I’d demand a price.

Race 9: PREFERRED: Post positions assigned

(8) AMIGO VOLO is boss at this level currently and Borth has been a good partner for him. A threepeat looms. (1) PERFETTO is coming around now, and he can add some value to the Exacta here stepping up in class. (6) HANDSOME SEBASTIAN has thrived with Filion driving and he should be close again tonight. (5) ONEY HALL beat the choice four starts back but that rival wasn’t at his sharpest that night. He should be part of the Tri or Super again.

Race 10: CLM HDCP $19,000 to $24,000

This looks like a race that can fall apart late and set up for a closer and I’ll try (4) NORTHERN SPY at a price. (8) KINCAID SEELSTER is another that will be passing rivals late that could roll by them all if the pace slows late; using. (1) HAPUNA BEACH shows all wins except for the start that he stepped up to this level three starts back. I don’t love the rail post for him here, but he is sharp, and he will have to be caught. (9) VIPER races well for Macdonald but I prefer to use him underneath starting from a wide post tonight. (7) BIG BULLY will show speed and he is the one that might compromise the rail horse. He can take a check, however.
