(2) DREAMFAIR ARNIE B takes a plunge down in class this evening and was okay in his most recent vs. tougher. He should appreciate the company he keeps tonight and was Billy Davis’ choice of two others in here. (6) STORMALONG hasn’t been sharp as of late but takes a drop in class and hails from the winningest spot at Mohawk. That could be good enough in here. (9) JJ LANDON has won two in a row at the B’s and will now step up here from an outside draw. He’s confident and that could be enough vs. an underperforming group. (4) HESINCONTROL was in to go on Saturday but will elect to race tonight instead. He’s coming off a 3rd place effort and is in with a chance if he’s at his best.

Race 2: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $62,500) LIFETIME.
(3) MARKET BANKER made his first start of 2025 off a strong qualifier and finished 3rd, while trotting the 3rd-fastest final-quarter that evening. He should be sitting on a big effort here and warrants top billing. (1) SCINTILLATING TOM is coming off a solid qualifier where he was 2nd in that try. He draws the pole position and was 3rd at this level the last time we saw him race. (6) MRSTERY DEAL was 4th at this level last time out after leaving out and hanging around for a share. He draws well and I’m expecting a similar effort. (2) P C PETERBILT was a non-factor in his latest but missed a few weeks in moving up in class. He can grab a share.

Race 3: CLAIMING HANDICAP $30,000 TO $40,000.
(6) B STONEY tripped out to an easy victory in his latest and had won back to back at this level. He draws well and looks good to triple up tonight. (4) TANGO SEELSTER was aggressively handled in his latest and faded to 4th. He’s better with a target to chase and he could get that here this evening. (7) BEYOND BETTER is coming off back to back runner up finishes to the choice and will look to pick off rivals late this evening. (3) HURRIKANE CHEYENNE has hit the board in 6 straight tries and will have every opportunity to do so here.
Race 4: NW $4,000 LAST 5 OR NW $16,500 LAST 10 STARTS.
(8) BRACE FOR LANDING left out for early positioning last week but made a miscue. He draws outside yet again but might be able to pull off a winning effort if he’s aggressively handled in this spot, yet again; I’ll give him a whirl. (6) NASEY wasn’t much of a factor from the rail despite taking support. He draws the middle of the gate tonight and should be summoned early. (9) SPARTAN GENERAL scored in his first start off a qualifier when he uncorked a vicious rally in the lane. He will likely be out positioned early but merits respect off class alone. (3) FIGHT SONG finished 5th in his most recent and is capable of another share here.
Race 5: CLAIMING HANDICAP $12,000 TO $16,000.
(10) LETS GET ROCKED was handled aggressively in his latest and took a shuffle because of a lot of early leavers. He still was able to go by a pair of rivals with relative ease at the top of the lane despite being used hard, and flashed some versatility that makes him a danger to triple up. (7) PICK A GENRE rallied nicely to secure the show spot in his most recent. He has two, on the board finished since entering Malik Smith’s barn and warrants respect this evening. (8) KYLES ART made his first start for new trainer Shayne Barrington and finished third. He does his best work late for the mile and should be able to close for a share. (1) HERESTHATMANAGAIN was 2nd at this level last time out and should be given every chance in what is a wide open race.
Race 6: NW $8,000 LAST 5 OR NW $21,500 LAST 10 STARTS.
(6) SPARKS FLY was aggressively handled in his latest and tried vs. tougher company. He takes a drop in class to a level where he was a winner back on 12/30. He should be summoned early and merits respect; top call. (5) COLD SNAPS is coming off three straight 2nd place finishes. She will have to do her work late and will likely have to get to the one above. (8) PATRIARCH HANOVER hasn’t hit the board in 3 straight tries but should be a lot more competitive at this level. (1) FABULOUS FREDDIE is a perfect 2-2 when JMac is aboard but this group is tougher than what he’s seen; he can continue to build.
Race 7: NW $14,000 LAST 5 OR NW $39,550 LAST 8 STARTS.
(6) SPITFIRE OVERSEES is coming off a 3rd place level in the Preferred and drops down here at this level off that try. He hails from post 6, picks up JMac and is hard to look past. (9) ROYALTY BEER is another one that exits a pair of tries in the Preferred. He draws outside and can be competitive with the right trip, but we’ll slot him underneath. (5) PERFETTO finished 3rd in his most recent, disappointing as the chalk. He is capable of a big efforts but will likely need to get to the lead, if he were to have a winning chance. (3) DREBIN has rounded out the super over his last two and can do that here.
Race 8: NW $4,000 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $13,750 LAST 10 STARTS.
(4) NIGHTIME DANCER takes a dip in class this evening after a tougher trip in his latest. He was competitive vs. tougher company two starts back and should find this group to his liking. (8) NAZARE was a recent purchase by new owner/trainer Dave Menary. This 5YO gelded son of sweet Lou has been in Menary’s care in the past and he hooks a group where he could find the winner’s circle here at first-asking. (7) ROCK AND TWIST delivered for new trainer Garry Merner after a perfect steer from his pilot, Jonathan Drury. He should be activated early off the switch yet again and will be given every chance to repeat. (2) PREMIER FIRST STAR has hit the board over his last two tries and will be in the mix early hailing from the inside. He can grab a share.

Race 9: NW $2,500 LAST 5 OR NW $7,550 LAST 10 STARTS.
(4) MISTER MAGIC has been no worse than 2nd over his last 5 tries and hooks a group that hasn’t been very shape overall. He should be aggressively handled and will be tough to beat this evening. (2) VALUABLE MISS hasn’t hit the board over her last several tries but is capable of a bounce back effort in here. She dares inside and retains Trevor Henry, who will need to work out a perfect trip. (5) DONATOVER came first up in his most recent and couldn’t get to a confidently handled winner. He should be able to get a big piece in here, but is tough to trust as a win candidate. (3) ARCHIMEDES hasn’t been much of a factor as of late but his late speed should put him into contention for a share.
Race 10: CLAIMING HANDICAP $18,000 TO $24,000.
(7) HEAVE AWAY made an aggressive move 3-wide on the back side and put in steps in the process. He re gathered and was in contention turning for home before getting picked off by a game rival who shot up the inside. He steps up in class but we will give him the nod off that effort. (9) VINO LOUIE has won 3 of his last 6 tries and has been ultra-consistent at this level. He is a contender. (8) JJ TOMMY will now race out of the Brett Lester barn off a pair of 4th place efforts. He’s better than what he’s shown when he’s on his game, but well slot him in for a share. (5) DOUBLE DOWN LUKE comes off a pair of 3rd-place efforts and should be able to be in the mix Kate. (6) DR JOE has good, late speed and that should land him towards the bottom of this Hi-5.
