(5) HOWIES MAN comes off a strong effort where he grinded it out first-over and he should convert here as the favorite. (8) BANKROLL SEELSTER set the pace and he was only 3/4 of a length behind the choice at the wire. He should be an Exacta factor right back. (7) P L PHOENIX will likely revert to a closing style after stopping badly on the lead as the even money favorite. I see him passing a few rivals to take a share. (10) J M DEFLECTION is worth a look for the bottom of the exotics on debut for trainer Barrington.

Race 2: FAMILY DAY TROTTING SERIES Final 3YO and 4YO Colts and Geldings Trotters

(5) URNTRIUBLE HANOVER showed he can leave last week and maybe this is this is the night he turns the tables on (3) TRUFFLES TOO who shoots for the series sweep here. This final will likely come down to these two battling to the wire again. (2) DEALIN WITH DEWEY and (1) HP RUNNING MASS will likely fight it out for the scraps.

Race 3: Pop Up 2nd Leg Claiming $15,000 for NW $50,000 LT

(5) MAYHEM LIKE ME goes for Puddy off the claim after failing with a mid-race brush move last week. He can beat these if he gets a better trip tonight. (9) THE AMAZINGSANDO just missed to a heavy chalk in the first leg last week and he gets McNair here; using. (1) DIAMOND ROCK is another racing off the claim that can improve here and he is another possibility for the early Pick 5. (3) DRAGON THE LINE is a good one to use on the bottom of the Tri or Super as he has been taking small shares regularly.

Race 4: NW $13,000 L5 or $29,000 L10 or $100,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $40,000 - Pick 4

(5) MISTER OF ALL fits well at this level and he never gets bet. This could be the early multi-race value right here. Classy (6) DANCER HALL draws well for his 2022 debut and he can beat these if he gets put into the race; using. (1) NEVER MIND N drops and he could trip out from the rail here. He is another to consider in a race that demands wide coverage. (3) PHOENIX jumped it off as the 9 to 5 chalk last week. His price will be much better here if you still like him.

Race 5: CLM HDCP $8,500 to $10,000

(9) MACHIN A TRICK circled up and looked like he was on his way to a win when he seemed to lose his footing on the last turn then broke stride. He gets the nod here based on that sharp-looking wide move. (10) MORTGAGE MY VILLA was rewarded by being sent hard for position leaving the gate by Roy last week and drawing widest should ensure he offers a good price tonight; using. (7) THUNDERING JIM improved in his first start for Auciello and he has upset possibilities here. (8) ATEYATEFNGERSLOUIE raced well off the McQueen claim and he can contend for a share here.

Race 6: NW5 (F&M6) or $40,000 (F&M $50,000) - Pick 5

(7) HONE THE TONE was right there at this level last week and in a field with very little gate speed, I expect him to get better position this time then capitalize late; top call. (1) SPUN FROM MAGIC will likely be the one to catch again and he is hard to dismiss with McNair in the bike. (8) ROYSONS PUNCH was right there vs. many of these in his 2022 debut and he is another that can get a good trip racing close to the front; using underneath. (5) PRINCESSPARTYPANTS notched the upset last week but she isn't one that is known to string wins together; using on the bottom.

Race 7: 4YO and Younger NW2 or $19,500 LT

(6) MERITO HANOVER was used up early in a fast mile in the Snowshoe series final and he fits much better here. He has a good shot vs. this group racing on or near the lead. (8) ITS IN THE STARS raced well enough to win last week but he couldn’t get there off the trip he was provided. He is always a threat but it's hard to predict what type of drive he will get from week-to-week. (2) FLIGHT ONEFORTYSIX paces a fast kicker every week but he is often out of position; small share predicted here. (3) PRIMETIME SEELSTER stepped up and raced decently and he should be in the exotics mix again tonight.

Race 8: PREFERRED HANDICAP - Pick 4

(9) PATRIARCH HANOVER has been sharp in both local starts and drawing widest isn't the worst thing here because he can float out, let the dust settle, then make a charge to the front; call to repeat. (8) SPARTAN GENERAL has been ultra-consistent the past few months and shown that he can endure tough trips and still succeed. He is hard to toss. (5) ONEY HALL made two moves in an improved effort and he could be the value horse in this well-matched field; using. (3) DREAM NATION dominated easier last week. I see him closing for a small share tonight.

Race 9: NW $6,000 L5 or $15,500 L10

(6) VEYRON circled up and passed some horses as the leader was opening up a huge margin last week and off that decent effort, I'll give him the nod in a tough race tonight. (1) REFI was 2nd to a blowout winner and although this is a higher class tonight, the step up doesn't seem tough. He should be in the mix vs. these. (8) VILLEFRANCHE AS has had some success at this track in the past and she gets a catch driver back here after being driven by the trainer in two straight starts; price look. (5) TYMAL RIGGS should be good for another small share in this spot.

Race 10: 5YO and Younger NW3 or $30,000 (Ont. Sired $45,000) AE: 4YO to be claimed for $25,000

(2) ODDS ON CARMEL looked good repelling a tough challenger last week and he gets the call to repeat despite moving up one level tonight. (3) SOUTHBEACH HANOVER gets away from Century Hannibal and this should be a much better spot for him. Expect an aggressive Sorrie steer here. (8) HOLLYS TREASURE got a dream setup last week sitting behind a third quarter duel and he couldn’t seal the deal. He is likely best used underneath at this point. (9) BOTTLE ROCKET hasn't missed the top 4 in 2022 so far and his good gate speed should allow him to get position early here and take another share.

Race 11: NW $9,000 L5 or $20,000 L8 AE: OPT CLM $30,000

(8) H P ROYAL THEO was going to sweep by the leaders if he didn’t jump it off halfway down the lane last week. He should offer a square price here and some potential multi-race value. (3) DERF HANOVER won at a class higher than this six starts back and he is sure to get an aggressive McNair drive here; using. (2) FINAL CLAIM was likely going to win two starts back if he didn't break while pulling out of traffic. He left no doubt last week and his improving from gives him a shot vs. these. (1) O NARUTAC PERFETTO blew away an easier field last week. While he loses Macdonald this week, he is reunited with McClure who has driven him many times in the past. I prefer to use him underneath in this spot. (5) WHAT A RUSH should close from far back and sneak into the bottom of the Super or High-5.
